"do you know what nemesis means?" Yup. So I bought an old TM famas off a chap on here as I love the famas and it's Lego esque looks. I've worked on all my pews, v2, v3, v6 & v7 gearboxes and now I'm onto a v1. Now the guy I bought it from didn't touch it from the day he bought it 2nd hand, but someone has been in there as there was a few things different from the Oem TM spec. Got it all swinging pistons but the balls just fall about 8 feet away. New maple leaf+nub in the hop, barrel spotless but the nozzle is perplexing me. The v1 TM box is an oddball with not many parts out there in internetland. The nozzle is a 20.7 BUT has a 9mm base onto the tappet plate (which is huge! I'm going to measure it and see if I can 3d print a spare as this could be a show stopper if it breaks!😱). Now I'm sure there's some guys on here that have played with them before but am I screaming into a bucket here with this one? (No, I'm not going to hpa it 🤣🤣) Taaa. Pic, cos you know, lego. 😁

Well, ak2m4 does it again. Got home from work to a bouncy kid telling me I've got a weird looking parcel to open...😄 Those 6.00's are gorgeous. Just from en engineering perspective they look fantastic! Cheers bud. Now, cue the music ....😄

Whereabouts in londinium art thoust? Down in "pitchfork and torch" laden kent, we have a few. Kent combat (dartford) , platoon stores (chatham) and a few more deeper south. Surplus stores as mentioned above is also awesome. My wallet goes into meltdown near good shops like this.

Everything i own uses 0.28's. Except the grenade. that gets filled up with the leftovers bottle. Which includes 0.12's!!

I sailed under a lucky star when the shop opposite me chucked out a load of slatwall. I ran over, asked if they wanted it, then tried to shift if. It's a tad heavy when attached to 18mm MDF! 😱😂 Got it home, all of 50m, put it up and then bought a load of hangers. I need to do a reshuffle at some point as I'm running out of room...have a big ol' basket now for mags as only two of my prws share mags. 😂😂😂

Ive worked on a lot of pews since i started this airsoft thing...and the ares gearbox has to be the most over thought thing i've seen yet. It looks awesome. dont get me wrong. its a stunner. Once you take it apart, the box is a bit over complicated. The whole "plug it into a programmer" thing is a bit pants. I suppose it was indicative of the time, i'm guessing its a bit older than the trigger/selector stuff we have now. It has a full cylinder on a 380mm barrel which i think is overvolumed a tad (2.9:1 by my guesses) so either i need to add 10cm to the barrel or port it. Still, it was free and at least it takes M4 mags, which i have to say is helping on shelf space (AK, Aug, Mp5, M4, G3, P90...no sharing mags here!!) Just need an optic as the sights look a bit meh and we're off slinging poly at the wallies..

I entirely agree with you but i have to say, i've pinged messages to a couple of older adverts in the parts area and come up trumps. I was polite though.... 🤣

I did some work on my mates car for him and in payment he gave me a pew that I didn't have in my collection..... An Ares Scar L. It didn't work (i knew this, he knows i like playing with them to revive them!) so i got to it. stripped, cleaned, greased, shimmed, confused about this EFCS malarkey, figured it out, chrono'd at 0.6j (0.28g) and wondered why the ambidextrous selector was in a bag in the box.... OH MY GOD. what a faff. No, scratch that, WHAT A MONUMENTAL PAIN IN THE ASS THAT IS!!! Now i have patience. I'm an engineer. things that come apart should go back together (with the odd left over screw of course) but even i gave up with that!! Nightmare job. Anyway. Scar L now 1.1J on a 0.28 and with the help of the internet, firing semi/3 shot. Safe is more of a suggestion on behalf of the selector switch (that ISNT ambi!!!!!) Just thought i'd vent/share. LOL.

Get the guns to a decent tech, while he/she/them/they/toaster is sorting them out, do your rental thing and away you go with regenerated old school cool. 👍😁

I have come to the conclusion that years of drugs/drink/women has destroyed my knowledge of most things capacitor based other than how to charge up a big one with the legs bent round and chuck it to your mate... 😂 So, my hat is off to you sir, much respect for getting this far and good luck. Well....JB weld to the rescue. Never used JB before -ive used loads of 2 part epoxy resin types just not this one - and so far she's holding up. Got some bits coming from a lovely guy on here so hopefully she'll be ready to try out soon....
