Uppers tend to be more desirable than lowers so I’d be inclined to go as follows:

Upper including charging handle, forward assist and dust cover £140 including postage and PayPal fees

Lower including the A2 grip, trigger guard, bolt release, mag catch, body pins and selector £120 including postage and PayPal fees

Front end + rear sight £90-£100 including postage and PayPal fees (if this is a 14.5 outer barrel as it appears to be I’d be very interested, feel free to PM if this piques your interest)

Buffer tube, castle nut and ‘end plate’ (I have no idea what the proper name is for them) £30-£40 including postage and PayPal fees

If you split it up this way I wouldn’t be shocked if you wind up sitting on the buffer tube for a while so could be worth bundling those with the lower and shooting for £150ish for that as a set.

I’m sure some might think these prices are a mile off, but stock uppers and lowers are extremely desirable alongside being hard to come by at present. I think you’d struggle to sell it all in one go personally, because price wise you’re going to be landing within £100 or so of what you could grab an ‘entry level’ MWS for. Just my ‘2 cents’ of course.

    Cheers,
    Alex

HSP Flatpack arrived today which sees my PC finished. Been looking at the options available for carrying hydration and a can or 2 of gas as my GBBR usage increases. Having tried out the Ferro hydration pouch and the flatpack, the flatpack wins out purely because it’s more versatile (though the Ferro one is lovely).

    List of bits is:
    Ferro Concepts FCPCv5
    Ferro Concepts Assault Cummerbund
    Ferro Concepts KTAR Front Flap
    Ferro Concepts Padded Strap Socks
    AXL Advanced Admin Zipper
    Spiritus Systems Small GP Pouch
Esstac KYWI Single Tall Mag Pouch
    Haley Strategic Flatpack 2.0
    SORD TED Pouch

    Hi folks,

Here seems as good a place as any for this.

TLDR I ordered some scope mounts from here on May 3rd, I haven't received my order and have only had one reply from them (on May 14th) which was essentially a generic 'we'll look into this'.

I've emailed 3 times since getting that reply chasing any sort of correspondence and received nothing. Hopefully a phone call can see it resolved, not my preference as I prefer to have everything in writing. For what appears to be a fairly professional outfit it's been an absolute shambles, so yeah, as the title suggests my experience would lead me to advising folks avoid ordering from here.

FWIW usually I'd be a lot more proactive about chasing this sort of thing down, not that I feel I should need to be, 'fortunately' it's a cheap order and I've simply been too busy during their open hours to dick about with phone calls... but alas. And no, they don't accept PayPal (likely down to what they sell at a guess) otherwise I would have thrown in a PayPal reversal/cancellation thing a few weeks ago.

    Cheers,
    Alex

Glad to hear recovery is ongoing, and by the sounds of it as expected. My big two where annihilating the quad on my left leg (rectus femoris for those that care) by doing the extremely intense action of... standing up from crouching. And a completely shagged right shoulder from years of playing rugby when younger and just not taking care of injuries at the time.

The former of which was much more recent, and was affecting me while working (I'm a joiner, or carpenter to those that live down South).

I guess these are more of a physical worry than a mental one, with the mental aspect more being if I do something that puts me out of work for a period of time I'm leaking finances which eventually becomes a mental strain. And that's truthfully something that's at the back of my head everytime I play.

In terms of powering/pushing through, it's kinda just that for me. These things happen, and they can happen if you're charging around an airsoft field with all the protection in the world... or they can happen bending down to grab a pan out of a cupboard in the kitchen. And there are two ways you can go from there, bubble yourself away from everything that you perceive to be dangerous (which is potentially literally everything), or crack on with the things you enjoy while you enjoy them.

In terms of getting through the mental side of it, professional opinion has always helped me with these sorts of decision to give me a better idea of what risk, if any, is involved... and whether that risk is worth it for whatever I want to be doing. Shitty as it is, ultimately you're the only person that'll know when you're ready for that and I'm sure we all hope that when that time comes you have an absolute blast.

Haha, I'm from the Midlands so carpenter/chippy is what I'd call it. I'd always consider a joiner to be a bench joiner, but up here carpenter just doesn't seem to be a word that exists 🤷‍♂️. It's all bashing timber around at the end of the day I suppose, bit confusing when looking at jobs initially though!

Nowhere near as jazzy or fancy as half of the bits in here, but if it works it works 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Made use of an old tracer unit, dremeled a bit of length off, added some o-rings and now it might actually see some use.

Gave the Platatac Dax v4tigers a run out, up there with my favourite variants of the G3-alikes. The double knee cinch on the rear and the elasticated bottoms are particularly welcomed additions.

New eye pro and dump pouch arrived, eye pro looks very promising… and the dump pouch is one I’ve owned previously so know what to expect.

Aside something to carry hydration as we venture into the, what should be, warmer months alongside a can of gas and I’m pretty set 😊.

P.S. A picture of just some glasses and a dump pouch is decidedly boring so I went with some artist licence.

Had too much time to myself today for the first time in forever, got bored and gave the NGRS the same treatment as the MWS. Looking forward to it getting worn in, magnifier/mount not painted because I’ve barely used them since buying them so toying with selling and that’s a lot of ££ worth RS of mount that painting would hit the resale value of should I decide to.
