  1. Belt kit done* (from left to right) * FRV shooter belt * Grimloc & PIG gloves *Backcountry Workshop G19/olight holster * Direct Action dump pouch w/ Esstac kywi mid naked inside * Esstac double naked kywi tall * Kydex Customs BFG holder * Esstac double pistol gap pouch I shoot rifle LH, pistol RH hence the odd layout! Space left on the left of the belt as this is where the rifle naturally hangs. The holster looks a bit crowded but once the belt is wrapped around me it is clear. *for a given value of “done”
  2. Fitted the AG Hard Kick steel buffer today. Along with the Hao heavy bolt end and TM bolt it gives a nice thump when fired. Similar to a soft shooting 5.56x45 and while it did slow down full auto (not that I use it) double taps were still snappy enough. When the temp drops I have the Alu and OG plastic buffers in the spares box (and a whole lightweight bolt!) I need to fill a mag with 14g gas and see how many shots I get from it. As long as I can get 70+ I will be happy.
  3. To keep the M83 chest rig company. SADF battle jacket, in lovely condition despite the broken zip on the backpack part. Not sure when I will need to carry that much stuff but when I do…I now can!
  4. Hydration, Hydration, Hydration! (Possibly the most disturbing Phil and Kirsty spin-off!) Spartan Woodland was bearable on Sunday. Light weight clothing, minimal load-out (I even took the AK with a high-cap incase I wanted to ditch the chest rig and GBBR mags....turned out ok) Marshal team were good at keeping the games shorter and giving a good turn-around time to re-hydrate. Cooler with ice packs for lunch and drinks was essential and worth it! I did take some extra instant cold packs in the first aid kit incase one of the "running around wearing all the gear and only drinking Monster" crew had a "I feel a bit funny" spell but everyone was refreshingly sensible. Remember, if you don't need to piss you aren't drinking enough!
  5. really tricky to tell from the photo but it does look a little off to one side....but that could just be because taking a pic like that is so tricky! G&G ammo should give good results so you can rule that out (although experimenting with different ammo in the future might be a good idea....lets sort this issue first!) I would give it a go with the flash hider completely removed just to rule out the outer barrel bore and the flash hider threads being cut at an angle to each other! Stranger things have happened with "Airsoft tolerances" Also "tight bore barrel =/= accuracy" as TM use 6.08mm dia and get really good results as the air gives a nice cushion around the BB stopping it pin-balling down the barrel. It isn't an air rifle pellet / rifle bullet so no engagement with the rifling needed
  6. Best: TM MWS (it isn't hype) SADF M83 chest rig (comfortable and adaptable) Esstac Kywi mag pouches, Delta Mike face pro. Honourable mention to Cyma AKS-74u and MP5 - great guns and easy to work on when needed. Pentagon Wolf trousers and UBACS tops. Worst: G&P MOE M4 - horrible externals (but internals ok); big bulky plate carriers (zero benefit in Airsoft and so hot and sweaty) mesh face pro (just nasty) MucOff anti fog (would be better off using mud)
  7. Are the BBs hitting the flash hider / suppressor / other accessory? Maybe check the hop rubber, nub and chamber are all aligned, tight and clean of any grease. What brand of BBs are you using and were they accurate before the recent work?
  8. Arktis make a couple of low profile and covert rigs for much less 👍
  9. Fitted the Hao heavy bolt end and G&P buffer spring (as the very old stock one is weak and shrinking!) to the stock MWS bolt carrier yesterday. Using the AG High Speed buffer weight (Alu) with the Hao end there is definitely more of a thump to the recoil but the TM mags were still giving ~120 shots before any obvious drop in FPS. Would still clear 140 BBs and lock back 👍 Action was nice and snappy and even full auto was fast. Now to find an AG Steel buffer weight to try it with…
  10. @Joe142 I have just switched to Esstac Kywi pouches and they are worth every penny. Hold the MWS gas mags really securely but easy to remove / re-index.
  11. @Joe142 some solid kit there! I use a fair few of those brands and they work well ( DM, FRV, 5.11 jeans are my daily wear!) Looks good and should perform well. You might be able to lose the HS Flatpack as UCAP VENDETTA isn’t that big and getting stuff out is a PITA. Might see you there at the end of the month!
  12. Skylar is the alter-ego of Luke / Negative Airsoft 😂
  13. Yeah, but they are the TM Discord dwellers who have replaced 99% of their MWS with bits from umpteen different brands as they are <Skylar voice> uPgRaDeS!!!1!1!1! </Skylar voice> and the magazine issues are hardly noticeable against all the other major issues they are having 😂 Stick with the OG Marui mags 👍
  14. Could be lots of things, the vent size in the little rocket valve or the spring strength that holds it open can make a big difference. Either an RATech NPAS or one of the adjustable G&P valves might be the way to adjust it down again. If you have a spare spring (or the balls!) try cutting one coil off the valve spring and see what that does!
  15. Is the recoil spring too firm? The buffer weight too heavy? Does the bolt lock back on empty consistently? Struggling to think why it would be behaving like this!
  16. Use some spray degreaser to clean out the trigger box then relube with light teflon spray (GT85) and see if that sorts it. Worth checking that the ramp on the bottom of the bolt carrier is resetting the semi-sear
  17. I only have a RG dump pouch (so far…although I have invested too much in other pouches to double up) but usually run RG trousers and top as it fits in most situations and camo at airsoft ranges isn’t really a benefit. Belt kit is coyote brown and an M83 Nutria brown chest rig just to mix it up 😁
  18. Shooter belt finally done with the arrival of the Kydex Customs BFG holder. That is a lot of kydex on one belt 😂 Happy with the placement where the left is clear for the rifle to dangle and I can dump an empty rifle mag and pick up a fresh one as my right hand moves back round. Pistol reloads I am less worried about as it is a back up and one of the pistol pouches usually has a speedloader in to top-off the MWS magazines during a game…love the gas efficiency.
  19. Wow. Just wow. Geoffs Super Precision 0.32g BBs are defo the fave for my MWS. Vorsk 0.36g managed a 45mm diagonal and 936mm2 area spread over 10m Geoffs smashed it with 5 shots in a 319mm2 box, 34mm diagonal! I re ran the test to make sure it wasn’t a fluke and got 520mm2 / 42mm. For size reference the box is about the side of the end of your thumb! Bonus that they are a third of the price of 0.36g BBs (of any brand!) Next test will be with the new Maple Leaf MR Silicone hop rubber, but I can’t be bothered to change it at the moment and I would probably need to push the testing out to 20 or 30m to see any appreciable difference. Safe to say I will be grabbing some more Geoffs SP 0.32g with my next order 👍
  20. I made an elastic loop to go around my rail at the receiver end to stop the sling hardware trashing it and clanking like a bag of spanners as I move around 😂 50mm elastic and 2mins with a sewing machine 👍
  21. Esstac Kywi M4 naked, ML hop rubber, MWS Nozzle spring and Geoffs BBs. I got the Pistol Kywis a couple of weeks ago and were so impressed I have stumped up for the M4 tall versions for the back of my shooters belt. Hold the MWS gas mags really well but easy to get out and re-index. Will be testing the Geoffs against the other BBs I have to see how they perform and then testing the top 3 with the ML rubber.
  22. Some BB testing at 10m today, Vorsk 0.36g lead the pack and are much tighter than stock MWS on BLS BBs (according to 4uad airsofts tests) I used two 0.1mm AEG shims to stop the hop arm moving side to side but have the stock TM rubber in there at the moment. * 4uad tested Stock MWS 120mm diagonal group at 20m. * My MWS (Laylax arm, Crazyjet 250mm) with Vorsk 0.36 (thanks @MAX DICKER) 45mm with a flyer at 10m so roughly 90mm at 20m! Geoffs 0.32g coming, if anyone has a handful of Geoffs 0.36g they could bung in the post to me that would be great 😊
  23. Once the fuse is lit Mr Grenade is no longer your friend!
  24. I would probably walk past you and still not see you there! Probably ruin my BDUs when you poked the Mk23 in my ribs 😂
