I would say that is a pretty damn fast set up! Are you running it on 7.4 or 11.1v? I am not sure changing the nozzle length will sort the feeding issues - more likely to drop the power due to bad seal on the rubber. If it is not feeding I would look at trying a delayer chip (if one isn’t fitted already) and maybe slowing down the ROF in the Perun (is that possible?) and maybe look at tappet plate tuning?

When I tested it in my MWS the FPS went from 260fps to 275fps on average. Good for colder weather when gas guns can get a bit sluggish. No idea on the PSI but pretty sure I have seen a chart on the Internet somewhere - have a Google!

Worst - Tie between G&P MOTS M4 with recoil (was a PITA to work on, really picky on mags and ammo, always "meh") or the TM MP7 as while when it works it is great there are so many design flaws and pretty much zero after market support. And it is scaled down. It could be so good but....TM being TM. Best - TM MWS, bought mine second hand and very well used (from Beefy Milsim) and it has been super reliable and accurate. Actually fun to work on and much less on-going maintenance than an AEG. Contender - WE G19 with MapleLeaf hop unit and CJ barrel. Just runs and runs, accurate enough to 20m+, using G17 mags with spacer to get a better grip on it with my big hands. Set up with fibre sights, Olight Valkyrie and Backcountry Customs holster.

My ex-AKS74U was short stroked by 4 teeth and ran a GPA M120 spring (from the great AK2M4) and was around 320fps on a 0.20g

I was under the impression that the WH motor controller included AB? and might not play well with other mosfets? Perun AB++ looks like a cool little unit

Morning all, I have a new toy on its way in the form of a TM M733 “Colt Commando” Totally stock at the moment. I plan on checking how it runs as standard - accuracy, consistency and trigger response. No sense just replacing stuff for the sake of it! It will be run it on 7.4v as a CQBish semi-only and ~1J Having said that I do like playing about in gear boxes so planned to check the shimming, maybe short stroke it by a few teeth (possibly 13:1?) and throw in a basic MOSFET (Gate NanoASR?) Possibility of an XT high torque motor if needed with the M120. Unfortunately I spotted the Warhead base motors and wondered if one of those could remove the need for short stroking / 13:1 gears and faffing inside the gear box? Seems the high speed ones can mess up timing. I am after trigger response not high RoF / wankergun! I have been deep in GBBR land for a while so advice from the ARG gurus appreciated!

Hi all, I have a Cyma MP5 that I really like....except for the angle of the pistol grip! My M4s have all had quite vertical / chunky pistol grips (Magpie or Ergo) as I find this more comfortable on my wrists. On the MP5 there is no option to change out the pistol grip and with the fixed stock it is a bit of a contortion act to grip it and avoid bumping the stock. All the pictures I have seen of the SEF / Navy grips is that they are roughly the same angle so that isn't an option. Has anyone added material or padding to the back of the pistol grip to make it effectively steeper? As I have large hands this might be an option....maybe drill in some short some pins and build up a new grip backstop with Sugru glue/putty?

TM or GM nozzles all the way. DP ones are brittle and shatter. Some have had good luck with the v2 Angry Gun ones.

If the BBs look to be going straight but the sight is off to the left it sounds like you just need to adjust the rear sight windage (side to side adjustment) to match the BBs point of inpact. The hop up adjustment is detailed in the instructions, if you didn’t get a paper copy you can find the PDF online easy enough. Set the hop up, zero the sights then play a few games before looking to change lots of stuff. The stock barrel and hop rubber are really good.

I would clean and lube the cup seal to make sure the nozzle can move in the bolt carrier smoothly. Did you replace the rocket valve spring too? That being stiffer / longer will increase the FPS. For reliability you only need to swap out the nozzle return spring (the one in tension), the rocket valve spring is fine with the TM part. I would check the nozzle is smooth and not catching on the bucking rubber thus slowing things down.

I tried the Madbull and AI metal adapters and never got them to work even with o-ring mod. Some people found the plastic AI adapters worked better. Unfortunately AI are no more so don’t know what a good choice would be. With ASG Ultrair being on offer and propane prices rising quite a bit I wasn’t going to save much if anything.

Check the little horizontal arm sticking out the front of the nozzle isn’t pushed up (if it is it will ride over the top of BB in the mag, not push it into the chamber)

Raid modded my Helikon BDU shirt. Wrist adjuster and chest pocket buttons replaced with velcro. Lower pockets removed and large loop velcro patches added. These were then attached to the upper arms. Also bar tacked over a small rip. Quite a productive afternoon given how bleedin’ hot it was! Coyote brown velcro from ContactLeft (Ebay) and Gutterman thread (colour 208 - from Amazon)

I have the G&P one and after replacing the plastic (!) grub screw with a stainless one and a dab of loctite it has been working well. Have an RATech in the spare nozzle as well and they both do the same job, might be down to what is in stock

I have a PC but mainly use it with weighted plates for running in! Once this weather cools down a bit I will probably run it for the odd colder game day when I am just using the M4. I have it adjusted correctly as with 12lb plates in you need it correctly placed to avoid painful rubbing. TBH between my minimal belt set up and the M83 chest rig I don’t really *need* it. But since when has airsoft been about need?

Hao stickers are to fix issues with their bolt carrier. If you are using the stock TM one you won’t need it. BB choice is a mien field as there are so many variables. Search back a few pages and I published my results from shooting groupings from a clamped rifle at 10m. Diagonal spread went from 70mm down to 30mm depending on brand and weight. SPOILER the heaviest, most expensive ones weren’t the best. I have re-tested the BBs with my two AEGs (Cyma MP5 and ALS-74U) and still had the same clear winner = Geoffs Super Precision 0.32g YMMV! SixG super nub, SixG buffer spacer and replace the nozzle spring; the only upgrades an MWS ever needs.

Sounds like that was a milspec threading which is close but not close enough.

If the rail is an airsoft std one the mounting nut should screw straight on. Milspec one will need the receiver rethreading! If you change the barrel nut you will need a shim to make sure the barrel nut holds the outer barrel that is different diameter to AEG ones. Not tried it but apparently the PTS adapter shim only works with PTS barrels. There are a few others, I think WiiTech, Hao and others. Have a look on FireSupport (search ‘MWS’and then select “view all”)

I run an MWS so 35rds is the standard. In CQB type games I probably get through 2 maybe 3 mags tops. I carry 3 spare mags and a full 90rd speedloader so I can top off empty mags as I walk to respawn, the mags contain enough gas for ~100+ shots but only 35 bbs…. Woodland I carry 6 spare mags and have never felt out gunned. If the Bbs aren’t hitting move closer or break contact and try a different angle. Low bb count mages certainly make you pick your shots and try to keep count of how many times you have pulled the trigger! I find that I am wondering if I should reload and there are still 8-10 shots left in the mag!

Unless you are really sold on a plate carrier (for maybe running weighted plates) I would look at a chest rig. All the carrying capacity but not a sweaty Warrior pathfinder is a nice (for M4 mags) I love my SADF M83 as it can take M4 or AK mags and two grenades or radio & grenade/spares. Plus they are only about £55.

TM designed it that way, it is venting the air as you fill it with gas, if not the air will prevent the mag filling fully. You know it is full when green gas splutters out (it is cold!)
