  1. Think it was about 30 a side. Probably perfect numbers for a skirmish day. When it gets to 50+ a side neither team can progress. About 70% had never played there before either so regulars were at an advantage
  2. Great day at UCAP VENDETTA running the TM MWS and SADF chest rig. Quite a few new-to-site players but the sides were evenly matched and every game a good match. Got some good kills in and ended up with only a few bruises. Was fun to show some n00bs around and lock down the hospital or clear out C wing.
  3. Fugly grip was great, nice angle and secure hold. I am in love with the SADF chest rig…even fully loaded I had zero neck/shoulder/back issues. Shame I was still recovering from leg day 😂
  4. Tomorrows minimal load out for UCAP VENDETTA. TM MWS, Vortex red dot, Inforce WML, Ferro Concepts slingster. Genuine SADF M83 chest rig - 4 mags, Impact BFG, timed BFG, M4 speed loader, spare 209 primers and tools, phone. Comfy even with all that weight.
  5. Nozzles, nozzle springs, gas and BBs are all consumables in the MWS world. As C-Diddy says treat it as a classic car / high performance car and accept a level of tinkering, with what is ultimately a toy. At the end of the day there is less to go wrong and when it does it is easier to fix than an AEG with the bonus that some POS Lipo isn’t going to self-immolate at a random point 😂
  6. I had an older DP nozzle self destruct, this was an older shiny (and brittle) plastic. Newer ones seem more of a matt finish and currently out living the previous one. I would look to grab 2 or 3 TM ones from FireSupport / Eagle6 / JKarmy who ever has them in stock. Happy hunting. WTF? Exploding mag?!
  7. MWS is pretty much steady state now. G&P NPAS seems a better fit than the usual RATech black and the Inforce WML is a nice ergonomic light. Recent purchase (from nwcustomparts) is an Ergo grip Tactical Deluxe Chonky Boi 3000 (or something, IDK) If you have big hands and find regular grips too small and trigger pull length a little short I would take a look at these. Hefty palm swell and subtle finger grooves makes sure that your hand is “indexed” without the grip forcing you to hold it in one way only. PTS ERG for scale (you) vs the grip she told you not to worry about 😂
  8. Tolerances on it were good but I think the dirt and burrs along with zero grease was meaning that it moved sluggishly and didn’t impart enough of a blow on the primer. I still need to find a replacement ball detent unit (probably 3mm dia over all!) to ensure good indexing of the twist part.
  9. Managed to strip it down, clean and grease it and remoce some of the burrs on the “nipple” part of the plunger. I also added some shims under the firing pin to take sone of the play out of it. Now moving much smoother so hopefully it will hit the primers hard and deeper (ooh matron!) and make a big bang! Used a good amount of blue Loctite on the wobble head thread to make sure it doesn’t unscrew being lobbed through doors.
  10. My old and rather battered AlphaTex BFG let me down 4 times at the weekend. It was denting the primers but not enough to set them off. The fifth time I tried it it finally worked. Over the last couple of years and 80+ primers it has probably not gone off twice. Has anyone taken one apart? Is that even possible? Is there a known fix for this issue? Thanks in advance!
  11. Yep, did some research on the internet and that was what was recommended! Seemed to work ok. Used regular Dylon Machine dye even thought that doesn’t work on synthetics it does work on the 60% of the fabric that is cotton.
  12. Small update, Warrior fast pouch on the FRV belt so I can run rifle left handed, pistol right handed. Helikon grey shirt dyed dark ranger green with Dylon Yellow and an Inforce WML on the MWS 👍
  13. Was from a couple of weeks ago when it wasn’t quite as chilly. Mags and gas were stored inside and checked with the kitchen meat thermometer before use.
  14. I have an FRV shooters belt from a couple of years ago, last November I noticed that one of the stitches on the MOLLE section had come away. I sent them some photos, exchanged a couple of emails and returned the belt. A few days later it is back with me and repaired free of charge. Seems I was lucky given that fulfilling new orders is such a struggle now. Given the developments in technology and materials and the experiences of those on this thread I would be looking at a C2R now!
  15. Little knowledge nugget: TM MWS all stock except for Crazyjet barrel* ASG gas and temp around 19deg shooting 0.30g BBs. FPS is over 5shots, equivalent for 0.20g shown in brackets. (350fps 0.20g == 285fps 0.30g == 1.13J) G&P Green nozzle set to: Minimum (almost fully closed) - 255fps (312fps) Maximum (fully open) - 305fps (373fps) I have replaced the plastic grub screw which was starting to split along the screwdriver slot with a 3mm x 6mm stainless grub screw (1.5mm hex key) and some blue Loctite to keep it in place. A blob of super glue on the end stops it unscrewing all the way and flying down the barrel (a la AngryGun v1 nozzles) Screwing it out a couple of threads seems to keep it around 265-270fps (allowing for the sites chrono to differ from mine!) *crazyjet barrel adds 15-20fps over the stock TM one on 0.30g / Greengas
  16. You can remove the “gas tube” but will need to retain the front sight / gas block to hold the front of the hand guard on. You can get front gas blocks with fold down front sight that are lower profile.
  17. Welcome Have fun at StrikeForce Gloucester - some really fast, up-close CQB. I played last week there and had forgotten how much fun and how tough the games were. Make sure you take a torch! Spartan and BlackOps in Bristol are good outdoor sites, also in Gloucester is UCAP Vendetta (in the old prison!) and I think there is one just across the bridge in Wales (Dragon Valley?)
  18. I put 4 layers of tiny gaffer tape squares on the bottom of the pin nub on the upper receiver. No side to side or up and down play. There is a slim gap between receivers but not noticeable from 3ft.
  19. He fired 10 shots from the magazine to give an average reading. Not that he only managed 10 shots from a fill of gas!
  20. How buggered? Have you tried gaffer tape or zipties?!
  21. Ditto, lots that might be of interest in my ads!
  22. Patrolbase still have the "Two cans for a tenner" on ASG Ultrair - https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/asg-ultrair-power-gas-520ml Probably the only reason I ever order from them!
  23. I have never counted but have never used a full can in even the longest game day! I guess weighing a mag before and after filling / weighing a full and empty can of gas would allow you to work it out. As I get ~100 shots from one gas fill of 10-12s I simply charge at the start of the day then top off at lunch. Make sure you fill them with 1-2s blast then wait then another 1-2s, repeat until full.
