  1. I would clean and lube the cup seal to make sure the nozzle can move in the bolt carrier smoothly. Did you replace the rocket valve spring too? That being stiffer / longer will increase the FPS. For reliability you only need to swap out the nozzle return spring (the one in tension), the rocket valve spring is fine with the TM part. I would check the nozzle is smooth and not catching on the bucking rubber thus slowing things down.
  2. I tried the Madbull and AI metal adapters and never got them to work even with o-ring mod. Some people found the plastic AI adapters worked better. Unfortunately AI are no more so don’t know what a good choice would be. With ASG Ultrair being on offer and propane prices rising quite a bit I wasn’t going to save much if anything.
  3. Check the little horizontal arm sticking out the front of the nozzle isn’t pushed up (if it is it will ride over the top of BB in the mag, not push it into the chamber)
  4. Raid modded my Helikon BDU shirt. Wrist adjuster and chest pocket buttons replaced with velcro. Lower pockets removed and large loop velcro patches added. These were then attached to the upper arms. Also bar tacked over a small rip. Quite a productive afternoon given how bleedin’ hot it was! Coyote brown velcro from ContactLeft (Ebay) and Gutterman thread (colour 208 - from Amazon)
  5. I have the G&P one and after replacing the plastic (!) grub screw with a stainless one and a dab of loctite it has been working well. Have an RATech in the spare nozzle as well and they both do the same job, might be down to what is in stock
  6. I have a PC but mainly use it with weighted plates for running in! Once this weather cools down a bit I will probably run it for the odd colder game day when I am just using the M4. I have it adjusted correctly as with 12lb plates in you need it correctly placed to avoid painful rubbing. TBH between my minimal belt set up and the M83 chest rig I don’t really *need* it. But since when has airsoft been about need?
  7. Hao stickers are to fix issues with their bolt carrier. If you are using the stock TM one you won’t need it. BB choice is a mien field as there are so many variables. Search back a few pages and I published my results from shooting groupings from a clamped rifle at 10m. Diagonal spread went from 70mm down to 30mm depending on brand and weight. SPOILER the heaviest, most expensive ones weren’t the best. I have re-tested the BBs with my two AEGs (Cyma MP5 and ALS-74U) and still had the same clear winner = Geoffs Super Precision 0.32g YMMV! SixG super nub, SixG buffer spacer and replace the nozzle spring; the only upgrades an MWS ever needs.
  8. Sounds like that was a milspec threading which is close but not close enough.
  9. If the rail is an airsoft std one the mounting nut should screw straight on. Milspec one will need the receiver rethreading! If you change the barrel nut you will need a shim to make sure the barrel nut holds the outer barrel that is different diameter to AEG ones. Not tried it but apparently the PTS adapter shim only works with PTS barrels. There are a few others, I think WiiTech, Hao and others. Have a look on FireSupport (search ‘MWS’and then select “view all”)
  10. I run an MWS so 35rds is the standard. In CQB type games I probably get through 2 maybe 3 mags tops. I carry 3 spare mags and a full 90rd speedloader so I can top off empty mags as I walk to respawn, the mags contain enough gas for ~100+ shots but only 35 bbs…. Woodland I carry 6 spare mags and have never felt out gunned. If the Bbs aren’t hitting move closer or break contact and try a different angle. Low bb count mages certainly make you pick your shots and try to keep count of how many times you have pulled the trigger! I find that I am wondering if I should reload and there are still 8-10 shots left in the mag!
  11. FireSupport often have the G&P npas in, best to replace the plastic screw with a stainless hex grub screw (think I have spares, happy to post one if anyone needs one) With a dab of loctite it doesn’t work lose. https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/gp-marui-mws-gbb-cnc-adjustable-power-nozzle-valve-50 RATech black is good but fiddly to adjust. Think Emporion have them, FireSupport also list them but out of stock (maybe worth emailing them) https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/ratech-ra-npas-kit-for-marui-gbbr-mws Failing that you can make your own NPAS by drilling a small hole in the stock rocket valve and threading a heated grub screw through it to cut a thread. Pretty sure someone on here has done it and posted photos.
  12. Aaaaand that’s a s5 firearm. Go directly to jail, do not collect $200 😂
  13. Unless you are really sold on a plate carrier (for maybe running weighted plates) I would look at a chest rig. All the carrying capacity but not a sweaty Warrior pathfinder is a nice (for M4 mags) I love my SADF M83 as it can take M4 or AK mags and two grenades or radio & grenade/spares. Plus they are only about £55.
  14. TM designed it that way, it is venting the air as you fill it with gas, if not the air will prevent the mag filling fully. You know it is full when green gas splutters out (it is cold!)
  15. Belt kit done* (from left to right) * FRV shooter belt * Grimloc & PIG gloves *Backcountry Workshop G19/olight holster * Direct Action dump pouch w/ Esstac kywi mid naked inside * Esstac double naked kywi tall * Kydex Customs BFG holder * Esstac double pistol gap pouch I shoot rifle LH, pistol RH hence the odd layout! Space left on the left of the belt as this is where the rifle naturally hangs. The holster looks a bit crowded but once the belt is wrapped around me it is clear. *for a given value of “done”
  16. Fitted the AG Hard Kick steel buffer today. Along with the Hao heavy bolt end and TM bolt it gives a nice thump when fired. Similar to a soft shooting 5.56x45 and while it did slow down full auto (not that I use it) double taps were still snappy enough. When the temp drops I have the Alu and OG plastic buffers in the spares box (and a whole lightweight bolt!) I need to fill a mag with 14g gas and see how many shots I get from it. As long as I can get 70+ I will be happy.
  17. To keep the M83 chest rig company. SADF battle jacket, in lovely condition despite the broken zip on the backpack part. Not sure when I will need to carry that much stuff but when I do…I now can!
  18. Hydration, Hydration, Hydration! (Possibly the most disturbing Phil and Kirsty spin-off!) Spartan Woodland was bearable on Sunday. Light weight clothing, minimal load-out (I even took the AK with a high-cap incase I wanted to ditch the chest rig and GBBR mags....turned out ok) Marshal team were good at keeping the games shorter and giving a good turn-around time to re-hydrate. Cooler with ice packs for lunch and drinks was essential and worth it! I did take some extra instant cold packs in the first aid kit incase one of the "running around wearing all the gear and only drinking Monster" crew had a "I feel a bit funny" spell but everyone was refreshingly sensible. Remember, if you don't need to piss you aren't drinking enough!
  19. really tricky to tell from the photo but it does look a little off to one side....but that could just be because taking a pic like that is so tricky! G&G ammo should give good results so you can rule that out (although experimenting with different ammo in the future might be a good idea....lets sort this issue first!) I would give it a go with the flash hider completely removed just to rule out the outer barrel bore and the flash hider threads being cut at an angle to each other! Stranger things have happened with "Airsoft tolerances" Also "tight bore barrel =/= accuracy" as TM use 6.08mm dia and get really good results as the air gives a nice cushion around the BB stopping it pin-balling down the barrel. It isn't an air rifle pellet / rifle bullet so no engagement with the rifling needed
  20. Best: TM MWS (it isn't hype) SADF M83 chest rig (comfortable and adaptable) Esstac Kywi mag pouches, Delta Mike face pro. Honourable mention to Cyma AKS-74u and MP5 - great guns and easy to work on when needed. Pentagon Wolf trousers and UBACS tops. Worst: G&P MOE M4 - horrible externals (but internals ok); big bulky plate carriers (zero benefit in Airsoft and so hot and sweaty) mesh face pro (just nasty) MucOff anti fog (would be better off using mud)
  21. Are the BBs hitting the flash hider / suppressor / other accessory? Maybe check the hop rubber, nub and chamber are all aligned, tight and clean of any grease. What brand of BBs are you using and were they accurate before the recent work?
  22. Arktis make a couple of low profile and covert rigs for much less 👍
  23. Fitted the Hao heavy bolt end and G&P buffer spring (as the very old stock one is weak and shrinking!) to the stock MWS bolt carrier yesterday. Using the AG High Speed buffer weight (Alu) with the Hao end there is definitely more of a thump to the recoil but the TM mags were still giving ~120 shots before any obvious drop in FPS. Would still clear 140 BBs and lock back 👍 Action was nice and snappy and even full auto was fast. Now to find an AG Steel buffer weight to try it with…
  24. @Joe142 I have just switched to Esstac Kywi pouches and they are worth every penny. Hold the MWS gas mags really securely but easy to remove / re-index.
