    Life is all about perspective. OP feels him and his friend were mistreated, shop disagrees. Most seem to have had a positive experience with the retailer, so I think we can call objection, hearsay! on the original statement that "issues will not be resolved"

    I think I may be all BB gunned out. After spending a King's ransom on my latest Glock build, I've been staring at it thinking "Yeah it looks great but what does it do that my other dozen pistols don't?"

     

    ....oh and it's not like I even plink with those on a regular basis!

    Simply due to how long each has been around, there are definitely more upgrade options available for the Gen.3. However The Gen.4 has been out for a couple of years now and you can get frames in both black & FDE, a long with various styles of slides and outer barrels. Plus a whole host of internals. (I should know - I'm trying to move on a Guarder Gen.4 slide, outer barrel, frame, recoil spring and trigger assembly.) Rainbow8 will show you a good choice for both. Bear in mind the Gen.4 has 1:1 dimensions, whereas the Gen.3 is a bit wider than the real steel and likely won't fit holsters etc. Also the Gen.4 has the 15mm BBU, which helps maintain snappiness once a metal kit is on it.

    I should imagine it's still a pain in the arse if it gets shot out. Not like they immediately swoop down and swap them over for you during a skirmish.

      Stick em in the attic so when you come to sell the guns you can say “still in original box” so no matter how bollox’ed they are you can STILL only ask 17p less than the price of a new one !?

    I should imagine other aspects will be cheap too. When I'm in Presov, Slovakia the beer is usually 80 euro cents to 1 eur and you can get a taxi anywhere in the city for EUR 2.50! Hope you enjoy! Some useful Slovak: Dakujem (jack-coo-yem) - Thank you. Prosim si ucet (pross-im sea ooh-chet) - Please may I have the bill. Hod sa jebat....(hodge sa ye-batch)....actually I'm not going to translate that one. Try it on a pretty lady though ? Fun fact, that was filmed in The Czech Republic but one of the conditions was that they didn't set it there. Besides, not trusting "mega hot chicks" is just good common sense.

    Didn't fancy including Vienna and/or Prague in that? My girlfriend is from Slovakia but I've never been tempted to visit Bratislava (she's from the Eastern part of the country). We spent some time in Prague recently and I really enjoyed it.....until the whole retinal detachment thing. For a future trip I would also recommend Gdansk. Rich in history yet modern and even a nice sideside near by (Sopot).

      @Cr0-Magnon Yes I have the Gen 2 Guarder kit, so Nylon. You can get them from Rainbow 8. Though only in black. Hopefully Guarder will reissue the other colours at some point as I'd like a full set.

      Good shout, I'd found it for 50% more expensive on another site as last I checked Rainbow8 were out of stock. Did you change the outer barrel too?

       

      Funnily enough I've had a big Rainbow8 order delivered today. I decided to build a "TM" Glock 19 from scratch using 100% Guarder parts, the frame for that is FDE. So I'm fine with all black for the 57.

      I got a Guarder Outer Barrel and made the Hop unit "ear" cuts that Maple Leaf did to theirs to prevent wear. I also drilled out the business end of the outer barrel as it was a little bit too small and caused BB's to hit the edge.

    Sorry not necessarily related to the original question but definitely agree with this. I think it's a great feature and yet a lot of people complain about Marui (and some others of course) mags doing it.

    A moron if you were aware of his past behaviour, yes. I would assume that's not the case though? His main success when it comes to ripping people off is through trades. I really can't imagine this kind of deal with anyone I don't know/remotely.

    I do love the Hogue style grips on these. They're very well done, again look much nicer than the AW version.

    Can anyone show me theirs for inspiration? I've already got a Marui V10, which is a great looking piece but of course plastic (great for actually using, slightly less desirable as a collectors piece). Guarder are due to release an aluminium frame and slide for it, which should fill the gap between the stock plastic and their steel offering, which as well as being heavy is around £300 for just the slide and the same again for the frame. I nearly bought a VFC Kimber Ultra Carry but they're just a bit plain looking for my taste (that may change with some polishing of the slide and aftermarket grips). There's also Armorer Works version of the V10, which you can get with trademarks from Asia but not sure about the build quality (finish/rattle). So yeah, any ideas?

      Plus a good pub and a good airsoft site have another thing in common , they both are frequented by grown arse men who really should know better saying things like “watch this lads !” AND said lads shortly afterwards saying “Oohh that’s gonna leave a mark !” ?

    I have a Gold Match, it's my favourite all-round pistol. I'm sure the D.O.R is as good, so it depends on which you like the look of.

    Fortunately the pain for my issue was relatively minor, actually it was really just the operation under local anaesthetic which caused any discomfort in that sense but yeah I was panicking about not being able to drive etc again. Although even that I was told I could legally do. Hope all is good now!
