  1. What is the technique for getting that little pin through the trigger and trigger bow? I tried hammering one and it ended up flattening the end before the pin was all the way in.
  2. Proprietary parts galore, what happens if you keep the gun for several years and they've stopped making that hop unit etc. Also needing a tool to adjust the hop, seems like a step backwards.
  3. My favourite recent purchase(s). WE M9 + Custom laser Engraving + Rosewood Grips.
  4. Glad you got it sorted. Not sure on the correlation between baseplate thickness and mags staying in though?
  5. WE/AW and of course Action Army, work best.
  6. Personally I'd just keep it to one side. I have one and while it doesn't get a ton of use, I have used it for garden plinking, along with urban & woodland skirmishes. For all three, it is without a doubt the most fun and versatile gun I own.
  7. Why buy something less useable for £100, when you can bump that up by £25 and get a TM.
  8. WATCH me knock NOOBS eyepro off with this REAL OVERPOWERED TORPEDO gun!??!!!?!!
  9. Anyone got a TM Desert Eagle they want a quick and easy sale on?

  10. Welcome back etc.. Most of this was covered in a recent thread but in summary: Pro's Better choice (although that's irrelevant if what you're after is available in The UK). Marginal cost savings. Con's Possibility of getting stung for various tax and handling charges. Possibility of Border Force seizing and destroying the item. Possibility of Border Force asking your local constabulary to come and have a chat with you at the delivery address (could be especially awkward if that's your place of work). Possibility of wrong items being sent or the good arrving damaged. Exchanges of which will be far more difficult. ...and yes I have personally experienced all of the listed cons, some multiple times.
  11. They're not even being subtle anymore, Kreuzotter is German for Viper....
  12. I obviously need to go back and watch this, my gun is featured in this video:
  13. Annoyingly I've lost the videos Luke sent me, believe it's the stock one though. Believe it is closed. I've put an order in with you for a ZCI hop chamber and 380mm barrel. Thinking I should add a 70 degree MR hop to that too 🤔
  14. No worries at all, happy to share my experiences etc. That's what we're here for. I hate to say it and it's probably more expensive but you may well be safer buying from evike. You'll almost have to pay import taxes but at least you know they declare it properly. Although not sure about the power issue 🤔
  15. Yeah quite a bit of experience with them and other Asian retailers. I did once have a RIF I ordered from JK, seized and destroyed by Border Force. Fortunately I got a full refund through PayPal. Another time (different retailer) Border Force asked the local Police to come and have a word with me about my import (that RIF was also seized). I have UKARA but that doesn't help if they misdeclare it to be "Toy Parts, $10" My advice would be only purchase something if it can't be bought over here. Don't do it because you're saving £20 or so. It really is seemingly random, how smoothly the process goes.
  16. 1) In theory you shouldn't need to. 2) About the same as any of the retailers over there. Quite often the courier tracking information is: We have it - It's Left Origin - Look down idiot, it's on your lap 3) Ask the magic 8 Ball, it really is a matter of "luck" - In theory you should have to.
  17. Wait a second...you guys can aim at specific body parts!? I just shoot in their general direction. Que sera, sera n' all that.
  18. Which bucking do you use in your DMR? I would have thought a Maple Leaf was good quality. I was thinking this too. So you reckon around 370mm? Oh yeah totally haha, one of my favourite sites has a 1.68J limit. So loading it up with 0.36's and I'm spot-on. Half of this is just for the sake of tinkering/tuning. Not like I'm going to be massively suffering, even at 1.88J sites. I've just changed the 70 for a 60, so can easily swap back. Yes the stock hop unit is rotary. I guess so, it was upgraded fresh out of the box by Luke this year.
  19. My G&G MBR556 is setup as a DMR and shoots 2.1J on a 0.20g with no hop applied. However when setting the hop for 0.40g's it drops to 1.5J and set to 0.36's, it sits around the 1.6J mark. I've just put a new M140 spring in it and not keen on the idea of going up to an M150 to achieve 1.8J on a 0.40g. The stock inner barrel is 463mm but I'm using a 455mm ZCl in combination with the stock hop unit, a 60 degree maple leaf macaron & omega nub. I appreciate a drop in FPS/Joule output when setting hop is normal but think going from essentially 475fps to 400 with the hop set, is quite an extreme case. Is there anything I can do to reduce the effect?
  20. Been hearing the term "professional airsofter" too much recently. There's no such thing.

My main income for the past 14 years has been Airsoft . It pays all my bills and pays for my holidays . And no I'm most certainly not a youtuber lol. No playing Airsoft isn't the everyday task of my job now although that used to be a larger portion of it once . It is however still a part of my job to attend events as a player . Would I consider it a profession? Probably not but it does fulfill the criteria but to me it's just work and has been for so long that there is nothing special to it now

Im with @Cr0-Magnon here, unless you are sponsored or paid to play as a full time airsofter its not a profession, the definitions make sense but being a decent footballer doesnt make you a professional, playing for a team full time does. All non league players have a 'profession' outside of football and want to become a professional baller so its a bit ambiguous.

Airsoft youtubers are that, they are professional youtubers/content makers not professional players, hell most players would argue the top youtubers dont really play in the spirit thats intended with the game but thats a whole different convo lol.

I would be interested to hear what 1st commando does/did. I get being involved in airsoft could be a profession but again being a professional airsoft "player", nah... unless someone can convince me otherwise.

The money for professional boxers, footballers, tennis players etc comes from the audience whether through ticket sales or via TV views/sales.

Same with YT airsofters?  No ones paid to play sport, act etc in private.

  21. My takeaway from that article, is that being a child is actually a "defence" for owning a RIF.
  22. Internal wear can't be seen and amateur photos being viewed on a mobile etc. Besides we're not really debating whether truthfully describing an items history is a bad thing? Obviously if it's BS, that's a whole different kettle of fish.
  23. Some people have 20+ guns and skirmish maybe once a month. It's not difficult to see how that impulse purchase could be moved on before it's brought into rotation. I get that you're being humorous but this has come up before, so I'm genuinely curious. How would one distinguish between something which has just been stored in a case/its box for a few months and an item which has been dragged through the woods every weekend for the last five years?
  24. Southcoast CQB would likely only take you 2hrs to get there. It's a nice drive at 6am.
