  1. Go for a TM, don't worry about the plastic slide. It just helps it cycle more reliably and you don't even think about it in the situations you'd actually need a pistol for.
  2. The gas already in the mag was probably from when the retailer tested it, prior to sending. I've used Abbey Predator Ultra, since Luke at Negative Airsoft recommended it. It's simple though. Wear is caused by every use, in warmer weather it'll probably run fine on Nuprol 1.0 and wear slower. It'll be snappier and more powerful on 2.0 or Abbey Ultra and wear that bit quicker. I will add though, I did a test the other week when it was particularly cold (around 2C), using Nuprol 3.0. I left my mag out in the garden for a couple of hours. On shooting it didn't feel overpowered and only chronoed around the expected 300fps. So yeah, up to the individual to decide on what they want from it based on ambient temperature and how bothered they are about parts wearing sooner (which higher powered gas will always do).
  3. "Baton Airsoft in Japan" So a plastic slide?
  4. Can you glue these in or something? Annoyingly this pin keeps making its way out. Today it fell out completely.
  5. I'd never paid it too much attention but got to hold a RS Gen.5 19 last week and definitely feels nicer without the finger grooves.
  6. Wow, this has gone down about as well as when someone signs up just to recruit for a team and makes a long list of stringent demands, they expect applicants to adhere to.
  7. @Tackle @Enid_Puceflange & @Rogerborg storming Zero In....
  8. They definitely look the bollocks. Of course the LCT version is going to be superior in the build department, but I just know I'm going to be miserable with a long and heavy gun. PB actually had them in stock the other day, I assume when they get them back in, they'll have added £30 - 40 to the price tag.
  9. Should be a basic job for a tech, may be best taking it to a local retailer. I had a quick Google and the first one I'd heard of in that area is https://airsoftdirect.uk.com/ in Hull. Although don't take this a recommendation, if they even offer such services.
  10. An HPA, full-auto, triple barrel shotgun with 3000 round drum mags, that doesn't sound at all wankerish does it....
  11. That's a shame but appreciate your input.
  12. I really like Invicta Battlefield in Tonbridge, Kent but all of their games have a two medic band rule. This effectively gives every player three lives at a time. This becomes especially frustrating when using a DMR/BASR, because a small team of five people behind some cover would take fifteen hits to be cleared.
  13. This seems a fairly common occurrence. I've definitely experienced it more than once. I shot two guys with my DMR, they walked until they found a team mate, who I also shot as soon as he got the medic band in his hand, he then handed it to the guy he was supposed to be healing, who was apparently automatically back in the game to medic him back in. It took another five or so hits of this three person unit before they decided to concede. This is why we can't have nice things.
  14. Has anyone built a DMR using this as a base gun? https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/jing-gong-jg-t3-k3-g3a3-assault-rifle I understand the externals are ABS but is it of the non-creaky variety? I do like an interesting looking DMR but in reality some are not great to lug around all-day due to length or weight, so this actually appeals to me, despite the reduced realism. Anything else to be aware of?
  15. As a former colleague used to say..."A fool and his money are soon parted"
  16. It's not dreaming, if people are willing to pay it.
  17. I will add, make sure you have decent boots and a lightweight primary. Otherwise you'll be the living embodiment of this meme...
  18. 38 here, only been playing since I was 31. Fortunately my health is decent enough but yeah age-wise, you've definitely got some time to get stuck in. I often wake-up on a skirmish day really not fancying it but then ask myself "would you rather spend it sat on the sofa"? Even if you just go for a morning sesh, it at least feels like you've had a bit of fresh air and a runabout.
  19. If you want to get more money for the item you're selling, remember to describe it appropriately:

    Clothing - It's not secondhand, it's VINTAGE.

Airsoft Guns - The paintwork isn't damaged, it's BATTLEWORN.

    1. Skara

      Skara

Gun is FUBAR - It's a quick and easy fix, I just don't have the time!

    2. Rogerborg

      Rogerborg

Internals more shagged out than Katie Price - Test fired once in garden, never skirmished.

  20. It's the same with the KJW version, sorry not sure why it is though. I will add that WE Gen.4 Glocks aren't copies of the Gen.4 Marui - The WE was around for several years before TM released theirs. The TM also has a different hop unit, outer barrel and some pin differences etc in the frame etc. Not sure what diameter the WE nozzles are though? The TM Gen.4's are of course 15mm.
  21. Good as in stylish? Because performance-wise, the stock plastic one is your best bet. If you desperately want a metal one, in my experience Airsoft Masterpiece are much nicer than Guarder.
  22. I've got two drum mags for mine. They were about £60 each. I think 50% value for mags is fair.
  23. OK so it'll be at least third-hand. Around £200 for the Evo, £15 for High cap, £30 for drum. Not much value for the mock suppressor. Batteries also aren't worth very much, especially as you will struggle to post (although possibly could be exempt if "in equipment"). Say £250 - £275 incl' postage and Paypal fees. While Evo's do tend to hold their value quite well, I'd be concerned that this is likely not the latest model, it's had a few owners and it's developed a fault (could need a new ETU). Nothing stopping you listing for higher and reducing as you feel over time, really depends how quickly you want to sell.
  24. Took me a moment to realise you didn't have a super-thick, bright yellow sling for it! Is it the 2020 version?
  25. They sounded halfway interesting until "9.6v 1200 MaH NiMH Battery Included"
