  1. I don't actually, I find they increase the speed at which my lower back starts to ache like hell! Maybe that's why I enjoyed using the MP7 so much ? I really like an old school bushmaster stock (as found on the MWS M4 M4A1 Carbine), however want to mount a small scope and thinking that may be more appropriate on the MTR.
  2. After properly using a decent GBBR (TM MP7) for the first time on Sunday, I can't stop thinking how much more I liked it than my AEG (which I took but didn't use). I have been playing for five years and after having numerous RIF's pass through my hands, have somewhat whittled my collection down to things I have/would actually use. In that is 3 x primary AEG's, which I would keep regardless, same for the TM MP7. However I can't help but feel for woodland games, a longer gun would be more suitable and have latched on to this particular model. So, c'mon what are the negatives I need to take in to consideration? (outside of the initial outlay!)
  3. ...wait, how are Geoff's cheaper than Nuprol RZR for 0.28's!?
  4. Everything appears normal, I fire a few shots and then it dry fires, I check the mag and notice two BB's side by side about 8mm below where they should sit. Give the mag a slap they'll feed to the top. Will checkout Geoff's when I get the chance, hate paying postage for just an item or two.
  5. The only issue I've ever heard of with TM PX4 (my WE PX4 also suffered from this), is the trigger arm spring falling out of it's frame indent. This happened to mine twice and both times the part was lost, leaving me scouring the internet for spares. So yeah, if you get one and the trigger randomly stops engaging, that's likely the cause!
  6. That's a weird one too actually. So far I've only noticed an issue when using a TM 470 round speedloader, when using my Nuprol speedloader it disappeared. The only reason I can think of for this is the nozzle bit on the TM is too large to sit flush with the opening on my Modify M4 midcaps.
  7. It does have an o-ring, yeah. As I say, the FPS consistency is above my expectations. This is on 0.28 with hop set appropriately.
  8. Looking at new ones online, I reckon it was never perfectly round but hmm...dunno.
  9. Sorted and yep checked the flash hider. Cheers guys.
  10. Reaaallly like this gun, it's been spot on even shooting very consistent FPS. However recently I've been struggling to set the hop, it seems perfect for a few shots then one will drop, back to being straight, then they overhop for a few. Also the mags kept backing up with BB's wedging themselves next to eachother (not sure if that's related?) I've just cleaned the inner barrel. It wasn't particularly dirty but also noticed the opening of the nozzle isn't perfectly circular and possibly a bit cracked looking. I've been using midcap mags with it and it wouldn't surprise me if I've been overfilling them. What say you guys, does the nozzle look OK?
  11. Yesterday I gave my new TM MP7 GBBR it's first outing and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I haven't actually cleaned the inner barrel since I bought it but I did give it a good lube. I plan to take it out again on 24th, should I be cleaning (including the inner barrel) and reapplying lube before then? Apologies for the noob questions but it's my first proper GBBR and I just want to check how frequently others are doing these things.
  12. That's fantastic. I can't really hate on the guy. That's how I would have to describe my collection too, if I didn't have Luke.
  13. A fun half-day with the TM MP7 GBBR. My first time using it and I guess especially because it's warm but it got through mag after mag, without the slightest hint of a splutter. Being limited by 50 round mags and knowing I have to keep them filled with gas, really made me feel like that's the way Airsoft should be played. It just feels so stupid, that people can get kills on others they don't even see, purely by firing hundreds of rounds in a teams general direction.
  14. I've just picked up a brand new but old style TM M9, with fixed hop. It's pretty and I was planning on putting a Guarder kit on it but doesn't even hop a 0.20g. I was speaking to Luke @ Negative Airsoft yesterday and he says you can swap the whole unit for one of the Gen.1's, with grub screw hop adjustment. However he wasn't sure if you could use a unit from the Gen.2 (ie the wheel adjustment). Does anyone here know?
  15. Oh wow yeah, used twice. So 1500 per session from a boltie.

Percentage of airsoft who can effectively throw pyro - 10%

@Druid799 I remember one game in particular when the dog leg was still there, my buddy Greg had holed up on the upper level behind the lift shaft and "mined" the stairs with two separate sets of remote dets. Many kills were had that day!

My favourite was a team of way too serious types stacked up on the middle double doors of the basement service tunnel , lead chap pulls the door open 2nd lobs a ‘nade around him way too high , hits the door frame bounces back and detonated on top of the lead’s helmet ! ?

he goes down like a sack of the brown smelly stuff rest of the team were declared grenade killed by the marshal then we noticed No1 was sat on the floor with the blankest look on his Face i’d ever seen ?? took him a good hr to ‘recompose him self’ shall we say ? And apparently took a couple of days for the ringing in his ears to subside ! ??

You're not wrong there. The number of times I see pyro "fails" where they throw it into a tree, or try to post it into a 1st floor window only to miss and have it bounce back, killing them all... Priceless :D

I can count the amount of pyro I've thrown in this game on one hand, and I've been playing for almost 17 years now. I just don't like it, though if I was going to a more serious event I'd probably just pack lots of smokes. Smokes can be really, really helpful as a sniper for disengaging.

  17. I use these, they have cut-outs in the foam for the arms of glasses. https://www.specs4sports.co.uk/evader-2-over-glasses-goggles--camo---clear-lens
  18. You know at some point, someone is going to use both "shoots like a beast" and "brand new, never even been fired" in the same ad.
  19. That may well be it then. A lot of buckings will struggle to grip the BB's properly with the hop all the way off. Fortunately as you know, these guns have perhaps the easiest way to adjust the hop out of any GBBP. Once you've dialled it in, you'll likely be very happy with the results as they have fantastic range and reliability "out of the box"
  20. Have you applied some hop?
  21. Sods fucking law! Dusting off the DMR that I've setup to use 0.36's and of course I can only find 0.20's, 0.23's, 0.25's, 0.28's, 0.30's, 0.32's, 0.40's & 0.43's ?

It's fine, I've been gouging the 0.40's with a small screwdriver. It took a while but they're all about 0.36 now #lifehacks

36's are AR food. DMR's need at least 4's.

@Steveocee - Sounds like airsoft "bro science" to me. With hop set for 0.40's, my joule output is actually lower than with 0.36's.

  22. The original question referred to legal limit, not (necessarily) site. It's been established it's not over this.
  23. As above, UK legal and site allowed limit are different things. If you want to find out the latter, you'd need to contact the site you intend to play at.
  24. OK, so you don't actually need to convince me either way but IMO....
  25. @Asomodai - Yeah, you'd better update us quick or we'll have to assume you've been "hostled"
