Thoughts on YT channel Negative Airsoft
Badgerlicious replied to BigBell1987's topic in General Discussion
Was there anything in that video about getting the gearbox to close or the selector plate not covering sensors? It still seems like excessive work when there's so many drop in mosfets for cheaper. I did enjoy his utter confusion at the mag button, where it stated the button was for magazine functionalities, and yet he had no idea what it was for 🤣 -

The 'What have you just bought' Thread

It's been a good week for h&k. Wolverine inferno in this JG mp5k. First game with it this weekend, it's gonna be good -
Hi! HPA is great, well worth considering with its ease of use, even with the initial cost. 1. No. They way HPA engines work that just isn't something that exists. Closest would be HPA converting a GBBR. 2. Really depends on the system but with a 48ci 3000psi tank, probably 1500 - 2000. There's a very rough estimate formula floating around that's (tank ci) x (tank psi) / (regulator psi) 3. HPA works all year round. 3b. basically maintaining the o-rings. I'm not sure on the exact time between greasing the o-rings but it's pretty long, months at least. It should be info provided in the user manual for whatever engine you buy. Some people will maintain religiously, others will neglect to do so for a year and their gun still runs. Best part is all you're ever likely to wear out is some o-rings which will be super cheap to replace. Also metal tanks need to be tested every 5 years, and could go on indefinitely, but it costs as much as a new tank. carbon fiber tanks are good for 15 years but can't be renewed.

Camman seems alright, at least he's never done anything egregious on camera. I think it's more a symptom of the airsoft-youtubersphere. KM is one of the most watched channels so it makes business sense to be on freindly terms with him. Same reason every youtuber has a video on a new novritsch gun when it comes out. Also if that 4 page rant is the one from zero in forums, that poster is as unhinged as KM.

Softshell is pretty nice. I have some jack pyke digicam stuff that's decently waterproof and not too hot. That plus a waterpoof boonie and I'm pretty happy in the rain. Fortunately my local site has heavy tree cover so it's not so bad, the worst is really the ground and puddles, so some waterproof boots and soft shell trousers work out pretty well, even if I go lighter on the top.

Mags with followers prevent this, and if I don't have that I have a bin or a box nearby to open my gun over. The internal tracer unit is nice, and the only reason to get one imo.

What's an "A wanker"? Also a maxx hop doesn't make you a wanker, it makes you a rube.

Apparently Mr Mustard didn't even go to naf 😂

Hopefully fully investigated, though it'd be hard to do so after the fact. Had this just been the first 1/4 of the post I'd be inclined to side with the poster, but since the other 3/4 seems dedicated to basically "I don't know who it was but it was definitely this youtuber I hate" I find it reeks of those people that seem to spend all day seething over single bell- sniper on youtube.

We're lucky enough to have a talented onsite photographer at worthing. She's got some great in-game shots but I'll post a few of my favourite I've saved of me and my mates.

The " What's Your Best / Worst Ever Purchase? " Thread
Badgerlicious replied to AirsoftTed's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Best: a crappy theta optics fts magnifier, because it started me on the journey of changing my whole style of play. Similarly my nuprol ak21. It started life as a project gun, and it can be a pain at times, but its been my main squeeze through the whole sneaky gameplay journey and tbh I love the thing now. Worst is the Raven p226, or whatever they call it. Wank piece of kit. Feels nice but has the performance of a £5 hopper fed bb gun. -
Would a zoom optic on an AEG make any sense?
Badgerlicious replied to Harvem's topic in General Help
Which one do you have, I couldn't find any victoptics scopes in ffp. For OP, I also support using optics. I bought fairly rubbish fts magnifier, and though I hate that thing, playing with zoom made a world of difference in woodland. My usual setup for my 1j "dmr" is a 3-9x scope with a red dot on top for closer range stuff. Currently looking at a decent fts magnifier or an lpvo for my regular m4. But having a properly zero'd scope on a reasonably accurate gun means you can pull off some pretty nice shots through foliage that you probably couldn't without zoom. -

Probably so he can kick them off the site and keep their money.

Surely you mean a half-cocked idea 😂 It can work though.

Recommendations - £600 Budget for AEG
Badgerlicious replied to Kieronwf's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
I'd buy a reasonably well reviewed gun I liked the look of for around £300-£400, and as needed I would: put a zci hop, maple leaf bucking+nub, stabilise the barrel, reshim (yourself or a tech), deans the connector, and slap a warhead in that bad boy. Maybe a perun ab++ if I'm feeling spicy, though you don't really need it with the warhead unless you want burst fire. It means you can be a little bit platform neutral. -
The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread

I don't know how sties still do this. It's just a clear indicator they don't know how things work, and it doesn't take much searching to find out the why and hows. -
Anyone running a Ranger Green Loadout?
Badgerlicious replied to lmars1997's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
This will always be an untrue statement for outdoor play. OP, unless you're going for a specific impression kit, I'd recommend buying the parts that work with your guns and mags, getting a functional kit above purely looks, just get it in ranger green. Have fun enjoying your now good looking RG setup 👍 -
As an aside, you won't need a mosfet with the warhead motor, they are insanely snappy as is, and have built in active brake and low voltage cutoff. Also, are you able to shine something into the hop chamber or down the barrel to check alignment? That could be an issue.
