We have a pretty good map at Worthing, put together by a group of incredibly intelligent people, that's posted in a few places around the safe zone. I might bug them to put it on the website too, so people can view and print their own version if they want.

The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread
Badgerlicious replied to Skara's topic in General Discussion
From what I've heard, one did get kicked off and the other, I assume used the excuse of not feeling it, got told to take off his ghillie. Supposedly the rule is for full suits, so viper hoods are fine. We'll see how it goes I guess. edit: It's also worth stating that there's been no official word yet. Just some discussion at lunch with some regular snipers and bush cosplayers. -
The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread

Well, it's going to be just me from now on. Annoying that a couple of twats has ruined my usual play style. Though I suppose it's not much different for me, I just have a MED with my rifle now. Luckily I'm all HPA so I don't have to worry about buying new things or reinforcing stuff to move up to DMR power. I guess that's how my airsoft day is going. Had to miss today because I felt ill, find out the way I like to play has been banned because of a couple of knobends that happened to be wearing ghillies decided to be knobends. -
I'd say if you spend a lot of time prone and needing to stay dead still for 10+ minures, then a bipod is worthwhile. Otherwise you can often find something to rest it on. On ghillies, a concealment vest is about £40 and is an excellent base to craft on, no need to go for the expensive suits right away. BDUs + net + shoe goo is even cheaper. Green and brown cotton can be cheap, but tricky to get the right colours online. The ghillie packs of cotton are good colours but more expensive. Raffia is very cheap, nutscene do some excellent dyed colours. But good field craft is required to make it effective.

New Silverback Tac-41 Variants due out spring 2024
Badgerlicious replied to Daveoc33's topic in Latest News
That's already what you get from a tac41 or a steyer scout. Well, simple spring change, but that's easy. -
Definitely put a chrono at the top of your "to buy" list. Especially if you plan on doing any work on you boltie (or any gun).

Are teams with red armbands in the disadvantage?
Badgerlicious replied to ParHunter's topic in General Discussion
I'm usually not too concerned with the arm band being spotted, but green bands vs work-vest-orange seems a touch unfair in woodland. -
I also use the bulle triple mp5 mag pouch. They have enough retention to be use as open top pouches with the flap-stuffing method (technical term). Plus you can cover the mags if you're doing something more daring like rolling around in mud, or using gas smg or long pistol mags with them.

I've been a couple of times and it was fine. Found out about the sock rules on the day, but hired one from the shop, which works out free if you give it back. There was a bit of shouting on one of those days, but overall no real drama, nothing that might require camera, though this is only two days, and one player's perspective. As this is now the Driver Wood review thread, I can say I'm not elated by the play area (especially with how much money has been put into it) or the going back to the safe zone between games. Safe zone is good, food looked good, though service was VERY slow for a friend of mine, but he also hadn't pre-booked a meal. But imo the games aren't good enough for my to drive another half hour past my local site. However if friends were going and wanted me to join them, I wouldn't turn it down.

If I use HPA do I get fewer words per message? -

I can at least understand their logic. Refusing to chrono on 0.28s because it's apparently too confusing just.. it doesn't make sense. You chrono the 0.28s, you know people aren't joule creeping, you know what their power is. is done. is finished. No need to gimp a section of your players. -

Of course he can. Just like when he posts his weird HPA limits we are free to ask why in the hell he's done that. -

Badgerlicious replied to concretesnail's topic in General Discussion
To be fair to the moron, he has answered, it's because they only chrono people on 0.2g bbs and then quote "joule creep" as the reason they give HPA systems a 20% power reduction. They do, however, completely ignore the fact they could avoid this by simply testing on 0.28g bbs, their site's maximum weight. They then laugh about testing outdoor players on... the weights they use. I can only surmise they're simple, and can't work out how to adjust their own chrono. Or perhaps they aren't given enough pocket money to buy one with a joule output. -

Uhh, yeah, people chrono on their own weights at my local fields. And nothing bad comes of it because the marshal teams would actually do something if someone is abusing that. -

So just test on 0.28s and don't have a weird handicap on some players. -

I assume you meant to quote me. And tbh I'm not sure what you're even going on about with this. If you're "only testing on 0.2s" I assume you provide ammo at chrono? Meaning if you provide 0.28s, there's nowhere for the gun that's being test to joule creep to. If they're using weight over 0.28s that's a different rule broken, and not something that would be exclusive to HPA. -

I mean, this explains it I guess. Your unwillingness to test 4 potential bbs weights means anyone with HPA now has to endure a penalty. What's stopping you testing on 0.28s? Have a few spare just for HPA users if it's a cost issue. You can't joule creep when you're already using the max weight limit on ammo. -

The bunker is such a great site, played it at a couple of private games, must get down there for a regular gameday at some point. A slightly unbalanced day at worthing, the marshals did move people around between games, so it's not for lack of trying. Just the way it is sometimes I guess. But the rain held off, so that's good. Some fun games though. One where we got to pick a base, then had to collect items, move them to our chosen base, then run them down the site to the banker, who was armed with a minigun to keep the non-banking riff raff away. Our team ended up cutting their team off from the lower half of the map by taking a notoriously hard to push corner of the map. Some changes are needed but I hope it returns, it was a very fun game, and I always love big games that let you solve things creatively. Also today, I had a newly modded gun (LCT VSS) that actually worked first time for once! Gosh it's been a while since something just worked. Since it has the AK hop unit, it kind of works its way down through the day, which is a bit annoying but hopefully solvable. However I was trying out the maple leaf gbb/aeg hybrid bucking today with a crazy jet barrel and I gotta say it performs very nicely. Even with the hop slowly turning off, the bbs flew straight and true, very nice and consistent. My shorter barrel with 3D printed spacer also worked very nicely, no collisions with the built in spacer at the very end of the suppressor at all. And my modifications to my ghillie seemed to work very nicely. I managed to jump scare a couple of people, and that's always fun :0 -

the hwat? it's not magical air, it's all air. I'd take 'not trusting HPA users' as a more serious answer. Site owners/staff not understanding basic air musket function is a bit of a red flag if I'm honest. Though, at the end of the day it's shouldn't be much of an issue for a HPA user, it's just a weird choice. -
I just got one myself, and I grabbed the CYMA picatinny rail from daves customs https://www.davescustomairsoft.co.uk/cyma-ak-series-side-scope-mount it's all metal, which I was surprised at for the price. It's got a touch of side to side movement, but otherwise quite solid. £21 total with shipping. for fitment there should be a nut to adjust tightness, you need the right balance of open to fit it on, and tight so it doesn't move. Should just slot over the locking things and slide sideways. Think of them as a broken up rail and it makes a bit more sense.

I have to post the video of sunday, recorded by our local youtuber Stingray Airsoft. I was one of three PMC's and it was very fun dipping into some roleplay and messing with both sides. It's a long one but it's excellent. Well worth a watch. -
If you're not fussed about your mtp being crisp and clean, go to a surplus store and look through their grade two stuff. It should only have minor cosmetic damage (ink stain, small hole etc.) but it's worth double checking. Grade 2 stuff is generally really, really, cheap. And since you're gonna be throwing yourself around on the ground anyways, worth saving on.

Much better day this week. It was the Worthing christmas game, so had a few people dressed up, my mate donned his bright green suit that was originally for AI (green team of course 😁). I ran my mp5k with a new stock and loudener, which was nice to shoot and loud af, as intended, and had a little ribbon bow to dispense christmas cheer at 1.1j. Though I have found the connection point on my hpa line has a leak, so I needed to top up at lunch, when I can usually run two game days on one tank of air. Also my aap01 with a front grip thing. Shoots nice but has some feeding issues. Still, lots of fun, lots of running around, no chances to be sneaky with an elf hat and a nice red cloak. Got swapped to the other team for one game after lunch, and it was of course one of the best smoke grenade throw of my life 🤣
