Softshell is pretty nice. I have some jack pyke digicam stuff that's decently waterproof and not too hot. That plus a waterpoof boonie and I'm pretty happy in the rain. Fortunately my local site has heavy tree cover so it's not so bad, the worst is really the ground and puddles, so some waterproof boots and soft shell trousers work out pretty well, even if I go lighter on the top.

Mags with followers prevent this, and if I don't have that I have a bin or a box nearby to open my gun over. The internal tracer unit is nice, and the only reason to get one imo.

What's an "A wanker"? Also a maxx hop doesn't make you a wanker, it makes you a rube.

Apparently Mr Mustard didn't even go to naf 😂

Hopefully fully investigated, though it'd be hard to do so after the fact. Had this just been the first 1/4 of the post I'd be inclined to side with the poster, but since the other 3/4 seems dedicated to basically "I don't know who it was but it was definitely this youtuber I hate" I find it reeks of those people that seem to spend all day seething over single bell- sniper on youtube.

We're lucky enough to have a talented onsite photographer at worthing. She's got some great in-game shots but I'll post a few of my favourite I've saved of me and my mates.

The " What's Your Best / Worst Ever Purchase? " Thread
Badgerlicious replied to AirsoftTed's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Best: a crappy theta optics fts magnifier, because it started me on the journey of changing my whole style of play. Similarly my nuprol ak21. It started life as a project gun, and it can be a pain at times, but its been my main squeeze through the whole sneaky gameplay journey and tbh I love the thing now. Worst is the Raven p226, or whatever they call it. Wank piece of kit. Feels nice but has the performance of a £5 hopper fed bb gun. -
Would a zoom optic on an AEG make any sense?
Badgerlicious replied to Harvem's topic in General Help
Which one do you have, I couldn't find any victoptics scopes in ffp. For OP, I also support using optics. I bought fairly rubbish fts magnifier, and though I hate that thing, playing with zoom made a world of difference in woodland. My usual setup for my 1j "dmr" is a 3-9x scope with a red dot on top for closer range stuff. Currently looking at a decent fts magnifier or an lpvo for my regular m4. But having a properly zero'd scope on a reasonably accurate gun means you can pull off some pretty nice shots through foliage that you probably couldn't without zoom. -

Probably so he can kick them off the site and keep their money.

Surely you mean a half-cocked idea 😂 It can work though.

Recommendations - £600 Budget for AEG
Badgerlicious replied to Kieronwf's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
I'd buy a reasonably well reviewed gun I liked the look of for around £300-£400, and as needed I would: put a zci hop, maple leaf bucking+nub, stabilise the barrel, reshim (yourself or a tech), deans the connector, and slap a warhead in that bad boy. Maybe a perun ab++ if I'm feeling spicy, though you don't really need it with the warhead unless you want burst fire. It means you can be a little bit platform neutral. -

I don't know how sties still do this. It's just a clear indicator they don't know how things work, and it doesn't take much searching to find out the why and hows. -
Anyone running a Ranger Green Loadout?
Badgerlicious replied to lmars1997's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
This will always be an untrue statement for outdoor play. OP, unless you're going for a specific impression kit, I'd recommend buying the parts that work with your guns and mags, getting a functional kit above purely looks, just get it in ranger green. Have fun enjoying your now good looking RG setup 👍 -
As an aside, you won't need a mosfet with the warhead motor, they are insanely snappy as is, and have built in active brake and low voltage cutoff. Also, are you able to shine something into the hop chamber or down the barrel to check alignment? That could be an issue.

Sights: when to bother, when to not
Badgerlicious replied to Floperator's topic in General Discussion
I got a magnifier to see where my bbs were truly going and never looked back! Granted I play the sneaky role, hiding in a hedge and popping people through tiny gaps in the foliage 😈 But even playing assault I find a red dot invaluable to landing the bbs right away. You say they are pointless given the "ballistic properties" of bbs, but honestly a bb's relatively flat trajectory makes a sight pretty ideal. So long as you account for height over bore you can put a zeroed scope on a fairly consistent shooting pew pew and you can be hitting targets with the first bbs 10/10 times. No need for good light conditions to know where you're pointing. -

The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread

Back after six weeks, and what a day to come back to! New summer ghillie with the silence of HPA is outstanding, we had timed respawns on the same point (one team spawns for a few minutes, then the next) and I sat against a tree as the other team came up behind us, taking out five or six from 10-15m away before one finally decided to come my way. And I found a nice spot on four base domination with only a minor amount of nettles, but got a few kills from there. The VIP escort in the afternoon was great fun, we actually had a similar idea @Impulse but we only waited at the top of the ridge, and had control for a bit before we realised we were surrounded 😧 Great gamemode though, I hope they do that again. We did a CTF game but you first had to get your flag from the opponents base, and I think the marshals underestimated how hard that would be. I almost got stepped on though so for me it was a bit of a win 😁 Right after that VIP game the teams went off to their spawns for the next game mode, and blues thought we were a bit light of players as a few had left. 16 of about 30+ from the start of the day. We asked for a headcount of the yellow team, and if they only had a couple more we weren't too worried. They still had 30 people left!😂 So yeah teams got a little rebalanced for the last few games. I had a fantastic medic in one of the last games. We were holding a base, other team pushing us hard and I get taken out in my spot behind a tree. I noticed a guy had pushed right up to our line and had pretty good sight on me so a medic was risky. So my friend sprints over and we drop as low as we can, the guy has 100% noticed this and is moving over to us. Right as I get my armband back on and yell "Back in" I draw my pistol and round the tree to see where he is, and the poor guy asks for a surrender while I have my pistol on him at basically point blank. NO MERCY I SAY! And don't try to surrender kill someone from the front 😂 the marshal enjoyed the hell out of that one! What a great day though, teams were even throughout, even on the VIP when we were down a few. HPA is lovely and quiet, just need some adjustment to get more consistent but I'm pretty sure I know why that is. I love airsoft -
They won't always be sepearte plugs. I have the asg charger that's very similar to the s65 and it simply has one 6 pin socket, and you attach the balance lead to the righthand most pins. Read the manual on how that lead should be plugged in, though it should just throw up an error and not charge if it's plugged in improperly.

About the same cost as two typical lipos though, and you only need one. That's unfortunate to hear. Granted I've only bought one but it's been good so far. Keeps up on output with my overlander battery but with twice the capacity. Definitely don't keep them in your guns though, I take mine out and discharge them to storage charge if I'm not playing for more than a month.
