I had this last weekend. Ended up last minute.com ing my kit and running round in the woods with a ngrs that really needs a service (240fps on .25s) and had the time of my life. Was competing with hicap heroes using low fos and midsize and getting some brilliant kills through field craft and thinking rather than eying on kit. Was a lot of fun. (Not as much fun as sneaking up on an oblivious Player whilst using an m60 but y'know)

Just wanted to put this out there, as it is something I am going through, and others might be too.
 
I turned down the opportunity to skirmish last week, which would've been my first since last summer (which was in itself the first in six months) as I have completely lost the enthusiasm to play.
 
The thought of testing batteries after so long, hoping magazines are still gas tight and hauling it all out of the loft, let alone the prospect of potentially playing alongside players who become aggressive or argumentative just killed any desire to do this again.
 
I know I have felt similar in the past, and have got through it and played again, but I feel now that I am mentally tallying up my kit in prices and thinking what it would all fund.

Just got back my Costa Carry build from a service with these guys and they are fantastic. Good comms, good service, good price.

PS you are not getting any more range or accuracy from a barrel once you exceed 300mm, only FPS increase 

I have Crazy Jets in two of my longer barrel builds and have found them to be pretty good, but If you use them you really need to pair them with a maple leaf rubber and omega hop nub to get the best out of them, and the hop rubber needs a millimetre taken off the tab with a razor blade so it seats in the hop unit properly.
 
If you use the brass nub and modify tan rubber which is well regarded in these parts then the Crazy Jet will be mediocre at best and there are several barrels that feature in these pages that are a better bet.

I've had a visit from the old bill after buying a holster and a TLR1 torch from the states.
 
Was kind of pathetic to be honest, they pitched up about 4 weeks after it'd been delivered. Knocked on the door asked if I had ordered the items and why, then just kinda wandered off.

Further down the line.... desired customer base.
 
No point in running a site with planned out complex multi-objective games if 3/4 of your customers just want to play capture the flag and vice versa. I remember a few years back showing up to what was supposed to be a milsimesque skirmish at Longmoor (£50 game fee) to find that the company had had a brainfart and literally expected the clientele to be happy with "flag in the middle of the street needs to get to your base and not the opposing teams" type games. Suffice to say that pretty much everyone thought this was a waste of the sites possibilities and a damn shame given the games the operators in question normally ran.
 
Game flow....... as an example nothing more tedious and game killy than someone sat on a choke point with a chest full of hicaps or a drum mag. 

This can happen but in later versions there is a buffer in the lower reciever. I've not experienced it with mine. IIRC it was also linked with whether on not people were using the stock when firing.

Could be quite interesting, but as @Samurai says, it could become quite stale, quite quickly for regular players if the layout is too fixed.
 
@Enid_PuceflangeI doubt that the venue will play out 'tactically' once the Speedsofters arrive.
 
My perfect CQB site would be fully modular (wooden buildings on industrial castors) to change the layout, low cap mags only (to reduce the trigger spamming)  and separate game days altogether for speedsoft.

Some people just need patting on the head, with a brick. This fairly obviously is one of them.

Go SAS style with a humongous maglite bolted to the top.
A full sized maglite, that is.

Not a fan of the dead man's walk as discussed in here. IMO it's a slippery slope from this to "oh I'll just go use that respawn point behind the enemy lines" (yeah I have seen that).

Next buys are BCM Gunfighter Mod 3 grip and a foregrip.

Started out in 1996 at Rebel Troop / Firefight in Reading. Gun choice was pretty much TM or TM. Don’t ever remember seeing a chrono in those days. FPS limits seemed to be whatever you could get the gearbox to do before it shit itself

If you take off the end cap and pull the bolt out you should be able to see the hop rubber and gauge if it needs replacing.
 
Barrel cleaning can be done with a cleaning rod and some of those alcohol wipes they use before injections. Ebay and amazon have them in boxes of 100 for not much £. 
 
Youtube has a few videos, this one is ok but I would watch a few (even in foreign language) to get an over view of the process. Not too hard after the first time!
 

Good eyepro should have been one of the first things you bought, not nagging but at the end of the day all we need is a working gun & eyepro, everything else is mainly cosmetic.
On a personal note, I always carry a spare set in game, one solid lenses & one decent mesh set in case the fogging gets silly.🤓

Translation: we got rumbled and reckon if we make up some bollocks about not having seen the right bit of paper nobody will think we were just being dicks.

The more I see from buck eejits like these last 2 the more I am in favour of a minimum post count or rating to be able to buy or sell on here.....

The latest measures were principally a reaction to people failing to take the previous warnings seriously and doing exactly the sort of thing common sense says they shouldn’t do (like going to the beach, or getting together at a skirmish).
 
At the point they closed the schools (always a last resort, because of the knock on effect it has on parents who are in the emergency services etc.) people really should have taken notice.
 
One of the factors in the rapid spread of the disease in Italy was people continued to socialise at restaurants so spread the virus, this is why the govt closed them at the same time they closed the schools.
