  1. Not only is not a loophole its just a good idea and very helpful for younger players, as there is no age restriction associated with "manufacturing a rif". We have to bear in mind that the big reason for our "defence" is that the good folks at the ABA were able to suffiicently persuade the powers that be that skirmishing with a two tone or transparent gun was just "not the same". As such the justification for our defence relies on RIFs, not IFs, being used for airsoft skirmishing, and so anything to help young players skirmish with a RIF, is a good thing...imo. Thanks Edit: I have nothing against people using IFs for skirmishing but it is what it is.
  2. Hi - yes the OG version took a 12g blank. So the "adaptor" is size and shape of a 12 blank, but with a hole to accommodate a 9mm shell and obviously, to have it line up with the firing pin. Check out this pic from Just Cause airsoft: Newer ones seem to start at 9mm, not 12g. Here's an example from zero one:
  3. Would be grateful if you could let me know how you find the reticle - mine is pretty starbursty. I may be a bit astigmatic but ive used a fair few red dot sights in my time which have been / are crystal clear. Thanks
  4. If you really want to protect most of your teeth (or the ones which are going to take the beating) check out the mesh snoods - I got mine from Delta Mike on facebook. I've only skirmished it once (maybe twice) but I rate it. If you want to protect your entire face I would advise a proper all in one goggle and facemask combo.
  5. I can't really comment on the AEP side of things - but unless I've missed something why do you insist on using an external battery in a peq box for a standard AEG? I get with AEP there is significantly less space for a battery but AEGs + lipos has made them, thankfully, less common
  6. I will caution and say that I have not heard good things about their replica of that russian red dot sight the name of which escapes me now. Edit: That's not quite true. I don't think I've read anything specific to the vector one. but I can't help but feel the vector one is just an "ACM" with their logo on it. I think its worth noting that I'm pretty sure they stick their branding on a fair few things - they certainly weren't the first to bring out that 1x28 russian rds anyway. That being said I have a Vector Optics 1x35 "Tempest" multi reticle red dot sight and I'm very happy with it. My one, at least can be zeroed, and holds zero too. The choice of reticle is really nice (I like the eotech style one for day time and the crosshair style with nods). Its like an Aimpoint Comp M4 but not quite. That's a thumbs up from me. Short version: I took a punt with the Tempest and it paid off. I'd take a punt again.
  7. if you are team killing on the reg you don't really have good reactions (no offence) you are just rushing... slow is smooth as they say (they = the people in the making of blackhawk down)
  8. I'd return to skirmishing when the government guidelines permit it (and for my own sake, when physical distancing measures are relaxed. I cba to skirmish if I have to stay 2m apart at all times... horrible). If the guidelines allow it then my individual attendance won't have any impact on public health in the wider sense, R values and such. If I was in close proximity to a vulnerable person (say if i shared my house with an over 70 etc) then I'd have to conduct my own risk assessment. I was about to type "but i wouldn't begrudge anyone who wasn't, and did go skirmishing" - but I have to be honest - I probably would haha!
  9. I don't completely disagree but gunman was the 1 i was on about, and with respect to that specific set of rules... its basically camos vs solids vs civvies. I mean this purely neutral terms - this is hardly MSW level stuff let alone reenactment. From what I have seen from stirling it is "as good as" greens vs tans. As far as I know african terrorist groups do not tool about in $200 Platatac chest rigs for example. At the very least I find camo/kit rules to be more liberal then people tend to expect.
  10. Ive only seen 1 place specify stuff like matching gear. Its just greens v tans for the most part. UK milsim is not milsim west
  11. Hi In hampshire youve got south coast cqb in portsmouth and ironsight airsoft that do summer night games on thursdays. UCAP also do mid week games at The Bunker in portsmouth i think on tuesdays. Near London Splatoon (essex) had started to do saturday night games, and I think Apocalypse Airsoft in Kent had some planned on Fridays. Mayhem (romford) also did night games on saturday. Legion airsoft also do milsims at longmoor camp in hampshire. Hope this helps and im keen to know of more.
  12. ^ This is your best bet if you havn't already - when i got an m300 i unscrewed the back first and was a bit stumped. btw: if you get it to work let me know how you get on as i'm planning to grab one myself come next payday - would be particularly interested in the IR output and if you have any luck with tail switch compatibility. thanks!
  13. a 40mm pouch should be fine. I use WAS ones for my dynatec impacts (50mm not 44mm) and whilst they are shorter then the alphatec (105 not 125) the pouch has more then enough room on the vertical plane to accommodate a taller grenade.
  14. racism is one hell of a drug, think he did a liam neeson!
  15. See this is where I disagree. I see "airsoft" as a hobby, and skirmishes/milsims/everything in between as a "game". Sure you wanna out gun and out run people but I don't really see it as a capital-C Competitive thing. As for the rest - I don't think we need standardisation across airsoft sites. We deffo need some education about joules and all that stuff but stuff like marshalling and enforcement should really be left to sites/marshalls discretion. I think the grassroots, somewhat "underground" nature of airsoft is absolutely a good thing. But I think there a specific circumstances - namely engaging with the government - that would benefit from a united approach/working in partnership. thanks
  16. Here's my "A Team" Inokatsu AIMS ft Cyma gearbox G&P Stoner 63 JG G36 ft CA AG36 + H&K rail TM AA12 with upgrades (though its also broken) All WIP's as ever.
  17. Completely agree. I expect it will take local players to feed this information back to skirmish sites. It is of course quite extraordinary circumstances and I think very few would of predicted the specifics. That being said, a a united body won't just be useful for relaying information from government down, but as restrictions loosens we can't rule out risk assessments and decision making being made at different levels (ie national government(s) and local government and put simply the "clout" needed to engage at these levels is more then one site on their own can reasonably expected to do. We will see i guess, and i suppose all i am trying to say is "it can't hurt". Its good to know about the "theme park, adventure park and outdoor leisure" part of it as well - one to keep an eye on. That being said - whilst none of us know when airsoft will come back, I think must of us have an idea of "what things will look like when airsoft comes back" and I thinkkkkkkkk its fair to say that we're not there yet. When I heard of sites opening up this week I reacted with scepticism, not excitement, and i can't be the only one.
  18. I've only ever seen one place (gunman) specify weapon choice. For the most part its greens v tans, some people make more an effort with a "look" sure but its not reenactment focused like MSW over in the states. fwiw Legion Airsoft only allows torso ghillie suits, trousers must be team colour.
  19. as with all aspects of my life - distinctly mediocre! A middling amount of guns of basically medium quality, whatever that means.
  20. As you'll probably know stairs can be very tricky, I'd be concerned that they "choke" the site to the point where a lot of the floor space isn't really used in game, with a lot of the action being concentrated on and near the stairs. So I think maybe rather then one big cqb site, you could have an "arena" on each floor. Of course the devil is in the detail! Thanks
  21. I think £400 is a bit low. the gun is £300 new in the uk, £36 each for mags, then its got ~£150 optic ~£120 laser, ~160 tac light, not to mention the FMA rail is popular and requires a decent amount of modding to fit. The rest I cba to add up. Personally I would sell the MP7 and mags together, maybe some of the cheap accessories. The more expensive stuff I think you could sell more easily as individual items
  22. No guarantees but ares have pretty good "after sales" Check this out: Sounds like you want: Parts A22-A28 (inclusive) Parts C45-C47 (inclusive again) Not sure what you mean by the magazine clip but you get the idea. Pop [email protected] an email. If you don't hear within a week try [email protected] Just don't ask them for the UGL!
