  1. it does: ⬛ yes that's a boring grey box joke....
  2. well the parts list certainly checks out, although i'm gonna have to cite my last reply about that not being a guarantee of performance. also gotta love openly advertising it running a 3j spring....
  3. nothing. there's no limit to how "upgraded" a gun is and the number of expensive parts in a gun isn't a guarantee of performance. therefore the term means whatever the person selling it thinks it means.
  4. That selector lever/trigger has a nasty habit of sticking in the mind......
  5. so this un's a doozy.... and here's a strong argument for keeping access to expired ads.....
  6. the price that thing went for it's probably close enough
  7. No your not, im very much a fan of the forum environment for buying stuff.
  8. i'm wondering if he bothered to actually trim the bucking and rotate it or if he's using a flat nub with a standard bucking.
  9. also says he's got an m100 in it, so that's one hell of an air leak. an almost textbook example of the difference between upgrading a gun and shoving a bunch of shiny bits in it hoping it'll make it shoot better.
  10. "UPGRADED TO FULL SPEC RUNNING 0.84 JOULES SHOTTING LIKE A LASER!" either that's a typo or he doesn't understand what "full spec" means. don't get me wrong i'm no stranger to getting sub 1j guns to lob bb's a decent distance, but i'm under no illusion that the only way i'm getting away with it is because everybody i'm shooting at has the same restriction.
  11. Agreed. If i was going to upgrade a gun that much i'd at least bother to know what parts are actually in it and who did the work...
  12. another example of misplaced value in terms of the custom paint job.
  13. Not sure i'd call sub £500 daytona's dreamer territory?
  14. smersh smersh smersh smersh..... i'm not exaggerating when i say my smersh supplanted every other rig i had overnight. that said, the beauty of an ak is it's just as valid to rock up in jeans and a t-shirt with any old chest rig.
  15. that's pretty much what this thread is about. the problem with folk teching their guns either professionally or at an amateur level is there's no standardisation or qualification, pretty much we have to rely on reputation. it's why learning those skills yourself is well worth the effort, means you can afford to risk it and fix any problems yourself.
  16. I always assume for the most part that a given gun has potentially been ruined internally, regardless of what the seller says about its condition (because for a start they may simply not be aware of any issues, even brand new guns can have major faults out of the box) Cynical i know, but unless i've actually held and shot the thing it feels better to stay on the safe side. That said, given i'm almost guaranteed to completely replace the internals anyway its not too much of an issue. If i were to sell though i'd be as open and honest about it as i can, because i do tend to have a bit more faith in sellers who openly admit when there are faults in what they're flogging.
  17. Wasnt that me pointing out it was cheaper in the link he posted in his own ad? Also bookmarked skara's link lol......
  18. Just got me combat union hop unit and all i can say is it says volumes about russian fps limits....

well, thanks to the relaxation managed to give this thing a few rounds and can confirm whilst it's not as pretty as the MAXX hop unit it is just as good at ensuring bb's go in the correct direction.

That's good to hear. Nice to have a high quality AK hop unit available. On the subject of MAXX see that they planned at one stage or another to release a G36 unit, no mention of AKs though.

Might have to give the combat union a go in the future.

Yeah, means i have a second gun that can lob .48's should the need arise.

The only real downside is it's a bastard to adjust, you either gotta have tiny fingers or open the top cover, so not as amenable to "on the fly" adjustment as a standard hop

  19. I suppose at least macks can serve a purpose here, you have a bunch of folk agreeing that your asking price isn't insane.
  20. given the cost of daytonagun stuff i'm not necessarily calling out a dreamer here per-se but i feel like these 2 ads next to each other is some really unfortunate timing.....
