  1. that would depend entirely on what you want. do you want a dmr that's based off something realistic looking/feeling, or will anything that lobs bb's with dmr energy? do you want silence, do you want noise, do you care about "recoil" (insofar as recoil applies to anything airsoft), what's your expected round count, budget, tolerance for precision, teching skills etc etc. however given it seems this thread is primarily a conversation peice then the WE svd, because it's cool.
  2. why not try and sell it as a unit? hpa'd ar derivatives are about as easy shifted as hpa kit ever can be.
  3. https://www.taiwangun.com/submachine-gun-aeg/cm-041-blue-edition-cyma?from=listing&campaign-id=19 am i missing something here?
  4. i tend to have just the one bottle in the field, then drink plenty inbetween games from a stash in the car. although the sites i play are generally the kind where you can go back to the car between games.
  5. having just finished replaying mafia 3 i was kinda wanting to turn it into a "paint it black" pun, but my pun game was insufficiently strong
  6. interesting review, if you are in the mood for pulling apart then some pics would be lovely, although granted the whole point of a gun like that is to not have to pull it apart. it's a fair point you make on the price, it always seems easier to stomach the bills when they come in smaller chunks rather than dropping it all at once on a pew, even if it ends up the same once you're done.
  7. wait, that's supposed to be custom? looks like something a clumsy decorator would be wearing right after finishing a job for tim burton.......
  8. for range you want good quality heavy ammo (as heavy as you can afford depending on the round count, for me the ~.3g range is a nice balance of cost/performance for outdoors), a hop than can lift said ammo (i'm a fan of maple leaf macaron+omega nub combo, or pdi W-hop for guns that don't like the ml feedlips), as good an air seal as you can get and energy output at least decently close to the site limit (which might be lower than ideal for outdoors if your cqb site has a lower limit) for air seal have a look here for how to check it: that's if you're happy enough opening up the box. alternately the shot-shot fps variation on a chrono can be a good indication (you want every round at the same fps) you also want to be cleaning the barrel on the regular if you aren't already (minimum before every game day, if not also during) if you've got all that sorted and still want more then you might want to look at barrels, the ZCI stainless 6.02's are very good performance for the money, just pick whatever length is closest to the stock barrel.
  9. Must be awesome playing airsoft on a submarine
  10. that would depend on what you're using the gun for, how it currently shoots, and what areas of performance you'd like to improve. for example i could recommend a long list of things to check/change for improving range/accuracy but that would be pointless if the sites you play at have short engagement distances.
  11. don't worry, we've all been there
  12. whatever it is reckon only way to be sure is to pull her apart again.
  13. could be, the col should be kicking the trolley up and the spring pulls it back over the trigger. last time i had this issue was with a boneyard mp5 where the trigger and trolley weren't matched, but i'm assuming that's not the case here.
  14. without wishing to sound too obvious, but the return spring hasn't popped off the trolley?
  15. it may well do that, but it could also open up alignment issues if it isn't a good fit for the receiver. why do you want to add a sorbo pad? so far i've only ever seen one piston actually be broken in an airsoft gun and that was a g&g polymer head that had been hammered by a combination of terrible air seal compensated for by a stupid strong spring. you don't want the piston impact to be too spongey, otherwise the aoe will change from when you set it on the workbench to when you have the spring in the gun.
  16. i don't think it's actually a slide, looks more like a bolt mauser style? would make sense with the then fixed optic rail the scorpion evo selector was meant to be a lesson not a challenge.......
  17. One would assume that the aftermarket ak style adapters would likely fit (maybe with a little fettling). And if the current crop dont fit a new crop will soon pop up, the world is full of heretics after all.
  18. That looks like a standard side folder to me, cant see any reason why they'd fake that.
  19. only thing i can possibly think of is a reference to energy limits for sites? eg that a site has a universal limit for single shot pews (be they bolt or semi auto) so anything that isn't auto gets X fps limit. or a site that has 2 limits, one for semi-auto and another for bolt action, so dmr's get up to X fps and bolt guns get up to Y fps. i've never heard the term before, so the above is very much a wild guess.
  20. i'm sure like the mk23 there'll be an aftermarket solution to make it adjustable. personally my view is it's a shotgun, i wouldn't even bother trying to use it beyond cqb ranges. which is probably why i've never really been bothered with shotguns, but this does intrigue me.
  21. qc is an ever present possibility, i can't see anything intrinsically wrong with any of those parts, but it's always the way with airsoft that even good parts might not work quite right for a given gun. do you have a tappet plate delayer chip? if not worth installing one, it'll give the mag that little bit extra time to get a bb into the chamber before the nozzle closes. what kind of issue? might be the rubber, as above sometimes an otherwise decent part can be weird if it ain't quite the right one for the gun.
  22. Ahh, well that answers that question then. At the risk of going in circles is it intermittently feeding on any mode or is it happening (/happening worse) in auto? Might be a speed/delay issue?
