  1. not really, unboxings have their place, and knowing something new and shiny exists can be very useful, but in terms of an actual review i'd preferr someone who's actually used it to be talking. perfect example- find me a g&g f2000 review that tells you about the blister you'll get on your thumb knuckle if you aren't wearing gloves.
  2. when it comes to gameplay while i've watched the usual suspects there's always elements of stuff that's not ideal, like the ever pervasive battlefield hit markers or clickbaity cheaters/fights/player justice stuff. i've seen a couple of gameplay vids from sites where i've been playing, and it's kinda dull compared to the actual gameplay, or maybe i'm just having more fun than the cameraman. for reviews i've a few things: 1. review more than just wether or not it's ambidextrous, also i can see the rails, no need to point that out.... 2. show takedown, show internals, highlight which key parts are proprietory and which ones are standard. 3. if you're going to do an accuracy test do it at longer than 10 feet indoors using .2's, if i gun can't hit a man sized target at that distance then it's useless. 4. gas effeciency is more than 10 shots in a nice air conditioned interior 5. if somethings bad say it's bad, even suggest ways it could be upgraded to improve it. not so much airsoft, but gun related is i tend to like inrange tv's philosophy on reviews where you really need to be using the thing for a few months before you can really make a call on how good or not it is, for example i intend on expanding my makarov reviews section some time but i haven't used the kwc enough to give it a fair shout.
  3. i've heard this business of tm slides breaking, but after 2 years of running .4's and black gas on my hicapa it still has yet to cause the miniature singularity the internet has informed me it would. bearing in mine said hicapa was at least third hand when i got it.
  4. [Bitchmode] no honey you look fabulous, it really brings out your natural beauty [/Bitchmode]
  5. Only ever worked on their m60, and while its bad it's very amenable to being tdc'd with minimal effort. Both fair points, after all i use my 10" m4 carbine more like a sniper rifle than a door kicker. I suppose i can talk, i have meddled with mg hops before, mostly for reason 2.
  6. i've always wondered why people bother with hop upgrades on a support gun, it's not like you're going to be running heavy ammo through it or really care about minute of angle accuracy so why expend the money?
  7. possibly it's just the original hicap going with the gun, and any mids he has he's keeping for other guns?
  8. that's a good point, i've always found it a kind of meh handgun, nothing particularly bad about it, a lot is quite good especially in context, but it's just not exciting. it's like owning a vw golf, it's not bad, but it's not going to impress anybody either.
  9. oh boy, hopefully cooking up something special tomorrow for sunday's pewing, looking forward to it.

  10. welcome to unicorn guns, try finding a front railed forend for an sa80 or an f2000.
  11. Hmm, maybe soon time to replace the king arms reciever, anyone reccommend somewhere to look for decent reciever sets? Feels kind of wasteful to buy a whole gun only to gut the internals and replace most of the furniture.

He has so many fun things to part you from your cash!

I have an E&C Colt engraved receiver set and I have to say it's rather lovely (especially for the cost).

yeah it looks very similar to the king arms one i have, well, at least what the king arms was like several years ago.

just ordered one, was mighty tempted to add some other shiny's but sadly funding isn't infinite at the moment.

shame he doesn't have barrel nut shims, those seem to be like hens teeth to find.

  12. Yeah, i'm thinking if set up right it would be a simple pass/fail mark on the pendulum based on site joule limit, shoot it from a fixed point and if it swings higher than that it's a fail. No asking ammo weights or popping ammo into folks mags, just rock up and shoot with whatever you brought. But like i say the issue is how accurate such a device would be.
  13. true, although you're right it is a faff, done it a few times when i wasnt sure what weight i'd left in the speedloader. i do think a dragons den idea would be to figure out a chrono method that's independant of ammo weight, they used to use pendulums back in the day where you could work out the velocity of a bullet by shooting it and seeing how far it swung, given we care about energy and not velocity it could work, although not sure how accurate it would be.
  14. i'll add to this- instead of constantly changing the chrono settings, print out a strip of paper with the proper fps reading for each weight of ammo and tape it on, then just check that the gun is under that. of course you'll still get the straight up liars "oh i'm running .2's mate" but cheaters gonna cheat regardless of how you do it so you might aswell force them to lie and follow up with a straight up ban if anyone gets caught in a spot check.
  15. Well, will have to see how the new sling mount on the m4 holds, but at least i found a use for the hicapa rail.....

Did you run out of cable ties and keyrings?

it's more that carbon is not a good material for bolting things onto, i'm kinda worried the wrong shock load is going to just rip the bolts out.

problem is there's nowhere else decent to mount the front of a 2 point on an m4.

  16. i presume if you were decently civil with him you could contact one of the mods see if they can get it removed?
  17. in my experience they do, can't beat a velcro flap for knowing your mag's gonna be there when you need it.

yeah pretty much how i approached it, he seemed to enjoy himself which given the amount of drama normally goes on at that site is a good sign.

  19. excuse me while i fail to take that statement seriously.....
  20. So decided to give the f2000 a little love this sunday, re-did seals etc she's pretty decent consistency on the chrono, hopefully that's the last time.

Kinda wish gate would hurry up and figure out a way to titan a v6 already, because atm it seems decent semi auto is always going to be the fevered dream of a madman on this thing.

  21. Jumping the gun on the selling "rare" 6mm ssg's am i milking this meme too much?
  22. huh, surprised they had any left, pretty sure i just cleaned them out they are good, the one change that made all my ak mags work perfectly. the super precisions i dont think are worth the extra, they're a bit shinier but there's not enough difference. this weekend gonna be blasting with their .48's. it's gon' b gud
  23. Anyone got a spare pair of knees/ankles?

I really need to get in shape......

AH lets just say the cartel does you a favour and maybe someday you do the cartel a favour....Hows your rectal passage for space?

Oh I forgot to say assembly will be your responsibility and as per the law that only applies to airsoft your order will take much longer than anticipated and will meet with countless delays only to be the wrong size/make or just plain shite when you finally receive it (unfortunately this part isnt the joke)

      Cheers Amigo!!!
