it's a tricky business putting yourself out there, and you're right about the confusion so typing it out would definately be helpful to clarify things. i mean currently what we have to go on (at least those of us who don't remember previous threads) are "clique" "pts/milsim" and "things have changed" coupled with a picture of people who appear to have a lot of disposable income (assuming those are all real nods), and that does paint a certain picture in peoples minds as to what they're dealing with which may or may not be having the desired effect. different people have different personalities, folk can certainly be pretty "direct" with their opinions on here, personally i try to play things a bit more political but each to their own. i'd suggest updating the current thread, whilst drama doesn't look good imo it doesn't look as bad as trying to cover it up, better being open about these things.

that escalated quickly not that i'm taking sides, but hitman does have a point about being mysterious, when i first read it the impression i got was that there had been issues with this topic/team before hence my nosey probing into what that meant (lockdown has made a very bored hamster). problem is, if that's the impression people are getting, then surely that's counterproductive to recruitment? how do people know if they want to ask with very little information to go on?

there's nothing inherently wrong with doing up a gun how you want, as long as you aren't under any illusions that you are reducing your target market.

This is the key thing, the quality of the paint job isnt the issue. For example i quite like the sigs, and that rifle in its original colours, maybe olive furniture, would be quite nice to me. But that paint job, again, to me, is just something that would need stripped before i'd want to use it. I suppose we're all guilty of it to some degree, i know i have guns that are very niche.

Possibly another case of hoping the camo job adds value.

i must confess i do think the g36's reputation has been somewhat tarnished by its use as a rental gun. although tbf there are a lot of guns people don't like "because they're plastic" regardless of wether or not it's realistic for them to be such.

i was thinking more the op referencing that "things have changed" and being bored i was fishing to see if there was some drama behind the statement.

folding stock aksu, can easily pack as much long range punch as you'd want out of an assault gun.

reckon if you can find an upper that sits nice, using an original lower wouldn't be too hard, if you're building on an hpa base then the engine can sit in the upper and all you need to do is find a way of mounting a microswitch to the trigger. i did mount a carbon handguard to my "in spirit" recreation, although it's a somewhat heretical cludge made of a bit of tube i definately didn't lift out of a skip.... really the objectives are accuracy, light weight (using modern materials where possible) and good balance. as with all airsoft creations i give it about 2 weeks.....

fair enough. if anything i'd suggest the classic plastic m4 forend for light weight, you could go magpul moe if you wanted a more modern look.

What kind of jam? If its just not picking up a round then you could look at increasing dn to give it a bit more time to let the bb up from the mag

i may not be lacking in the gift of the extended waffle, but i think stretching out how ambidextrous the 3 controls on a glock are to an hour is beyond my talents i don't do display peices, i'd be fielding that for sure.....

You can do an "in spirit" replication of it for airsoft. I am kind of tempted to try and get my hands on the proper handguard/lower reciever at some point.

i dunno, for a fully loaded shower shell dont think it's that bad, you could legit throw a handful of bb's harder.
