winter update: so i've been running this for a while now and there's a few notes. first off i think i've cracked the combo for this, 75mm pdi 6.01 stainless barrel, maple leaf autobot 50°, I-Key, assembled properly the accuracy is stupendous on geoff's .32's to the point where every missed shot has you thinking "i should really get better at aiming pistols". with an aeg hop rubber cut to make a spacer you can go to .48's but if you do that nozzles become a consumable part. if you space your shots well it's on a par with my hicapa and better than most of my rifles. however cold winter performance is definately lacking, if you keep your shots spaced out she's ok but this is not a gun to be mag dumping in the winter, the price of tiny magazines and we's notorious hatred of cold weather. i did pick up a kwc makarov and by comparison i think i definately prefer the we offering. out of the box the kwc's fps is a bit spicy, fortunately i got mine off here and the seller kindly downgraded it to make it kosher for our flat 1j limit. blowback is as snappy as i've met in any gun (co2 of course) and unlike the we you won't be playing the "when will the mag vent" game when rapid firing in the cold. accuracy is ok stock, it'll lift .32's and for most players it'll do the job, although sadly kwc's internals are going to make repairs/upgrades a pipe dream, i did have to do a little fettling to get the hop set straight but in it's defence its rare to meet a gun that doesnt. the main downsides are the externals aren't as nice as we's, for example it's a bit tight in my holster (whereas the we fits perfectly) and the big one is it's single action only, not a big deal practically speaking but i do preferr the we's proper single/double setup with the decocker/safety combo. as a winter gun it's definately a decent choice, but if it's warm enough to run the we i'll almost always take it instead.

it's a tricky one, i dont think most folk would immediately remember or judge a "cheater" from an airsoft video but i could be wrong. i've seen vids with folk i know being "called out" although that's more of a "this guy didn't take a gun hit, all the sites i play at those count" when the site the video was shot at was clear gun hits don't count. i always have a very dim view of the "x" edits, unless the video is clear enough to show the bb striking (which is incredibly rare) or the person then proceeds to call the hit then it's not unreasonable to assume it was a near miss which is what i generally do. yes it's possible they're editing in hits they remember seeing through the scope but ask yourself this: can you remember every hit you've made on a given game day? because i sure can't. of course even if the bb strikes someone doesn't mean they felt it, plenty of places you can be hit and have no idea, i've been called out before by folk next to me for something like my dump pouch taking a hit which i didn't hear or feel (1j at extended range doesn't hit all that hard), just the nature of the beast and you do need to bear that in mind that no matter how honest the player that can, and will, happen.

i'm not saying that skipping full face isn't a risk, i have a right shiner on my cheek at the moment testament to that, although i've been lucky enough to keep all my teeth thus far (although i've seen it happen to mates). it's just a case of regardless of what some is or isn't wearing on their face, shooting there intentionally when you have a choice is a dick move that shouldn't be encouraged, to do so "in the name of airsoft justice" doubly so.

i dont think there's any denying that there's editing to make the shots look better, or that some shots aren't deliberately targeted and are just victims of the airsoft gods. however camera reticle aside, my point is it's plainly evident in some scenes that he's capable of making more precise shots on a given location (when he's aiming at folk in cover who are maybe only poking a hand or a hat out) followed by getting an "easy" body shot but instead going for the head, especially when he beleives there's some anti-cheater clickbait to be had, at least if he's editing them to give that impression then that's the intended effect he's going for. i'm sure he's a different person in the flesh, he was a different person in his earlier videos but it seems his youtube persona has evolved to a point that makes him worthy of distain, his videos might be targeted to get lots of views, but it highlights behaviour that advertises our hobby in a very bad light and it's not the sort of thing we need, we have enough problems keeping hold of our pew's against the "ermagerd gunz r bad" crowd as-is.

Yeah he did, was the same day he popped someone in the face with his mk23 hard enough to make them think he'd cracked their glasses. Then finished off by blaming it on people not being prepared for the milsim environment.

We've talked about km before and his penchant for intentional headshots, its plainly evident that some of them are intentionally aimed as such. Yes face pro is a valid point, and it is a risk you take, but it is not a defence for being a dick. I always hold that you should shoot centre of mass of what you can see, if all you can see is their head then it's a valid target, but if they give you something else to shoot at go there first, which in some of his videos this is a thing he evidently does not adhere to.

ptfe and sorbo are fine in the right places. it's when you see it being used for replacing screw threads or holding the handguard on then it begins to become questionable. however i do use ptfe a fair bit on cylinder heads, a good head won't need it but a bit of ptfe can do wonders to improve a poor head.

the temptation to downvote that.....
