  1. i can see the point, without knowing the details it's hard to know if this is the kind of thing leads to favoritism which i'm surprised hasn't made this thread yet (ie site regulars getting away with murder while newcomers are under a microscope) however, given i have no idea of the details as to whether or not this is justified i suppose it's only fair to reserve judgement.
  2. so he was banned for being annoying even though he hadn't broken any rules? tricky one, breaking rules sure but if we started handing out punishments for merely being annoying there wouldn't be many survivors.....
  3. this is a perfect example of "compatible-ish". unfortunately i can't really recommend anything specific, i keep a box o'random springs and i'll be damned if i know where most of them come from but almost always have something that's about right. it's like my bits box m4 build that's semi only because the only COL that worked in the box had been modded at some point for a mosfet.
  4. I'll be honest, radio chatter can be quite the distraction when your trying to be sneaky lol
  5. Usually go with a few mates, but i'm not against heading out solo. Pretty usual to end up on your own anyway, even if you try to stick together you'll be split up moment someone gets hit.
  6. aside from the barrel that's pretty much the setup i'm running. the fusion isn't as bad for tuning as the likes of the f2 but it might need dialed in. you're gonna want to be running good heavy ammo to get anything out of it. of course you'll be needing to program it to semi only, not sure if sites will be pleased with the notion of being able to set it to auto though.
  7. hmm, strange. it's defo not catching anything as it's being activated? it's a decent theory, but 1j seems too low an energy and that setup should be good for even .48's with enough push behind it (admittedly all my .48 lifting guns are hpa's so a different pressure curve) the ml macaron feed lips tend to be marginally longer than most other hops, but normally that'll be bad fps and awful feeding regardless of ammo weight.
  8. i use ml's own nub in everything bar me m4 which is running the maxx r-block possibly are you maybe adjusting past the sweet spot? i've had that happen where you kind of have 2 points of hop where the second is much more restricted.
  9. i thought they did a 40°? regardless a 50 shouldn't be putting down that much obstruction to spin a .28
  10. the nub is hard but the bucking is a nice soft 50° bit of a weird one, can't say i've noticed it on any of my guns, although granted i start at .3's and work up from there.
  11. I can see where your coming from but it's easier to just have gun hits count or they dont count. As long as its clear what the site rules are then that's fine by me. Admittedly the gurttrommel on the mg42 makes a great face sheild.....
  12. Had a rental pull that on me as i went to respawn, i was like dude, firstly i'm dead, secondly i'm on your team and thirdly you aint shootin shit.
  13. literally the entire point of the evo is being a perfectly good gun out of the box that doesn't need messed with for years.
  14. wouldn't kill you but you probably wouldn't be combat effective when your down a few fingers.....
  15. i must be more of an asshole then, i'd have let fly. it's a divisive issue, hence my policy of being a twitch away from firing before i open my mouth to issue a bang kill. in that case he made the decision, it's as close as you're gonna get to someone literally asking to be shot. on the flipside, i also don't get salty if someone decides to skip the whole process and just pop one round somewhere it doesn't hurt. the worse case i heard of that was someone losing the rag because "headshots don't count".....
  16. i have something similar in style, but only top rails which i do have a wee rds on. the spirit level is a bit ridiculous though, looks cool until you realise you can't see it when the scope is installed..... i always look at it as purely courtesy, if someone is able to fire back and hit you before you can hit them then it wasn't a valid bang kill to begin with. last time i gave a bang kill it was a case of literally having the barrel of the makarov against the guys shoulder.... it's a good middle ground, last game had the drop on the fella and planted one in the back of his plate carrier, apparently that wasn't felt or heard so next shot was in the leg and was noticed.
  17. well this has taken an amusing turn. end of the day it's your gun, but cqb or outdoors i'd get shot of that 40k motor. 20k stock motor with a precocking mosfet is going to give you all the semi auto spam a sane person is going to need. if you're going dmr then you're better off directing your energy/money at things like airseal, good ammo, good hop etc because they're going to have a much bigger say in your effective accuracy/range than how many milliseconds of lock time you have. if it's cqb then you won't need to focus as much on the accuracy side of things because you're not going to be using it at long enough range.
  18. for an evo? leave it alone, it's going to be much harder to improve it than it is to make it worse. the stock trigger response is perfectly adequate.
  19. Never done it intentionally, usually it just picks up the grease from gears/piston rails.
  20. I'd look at running a mk23 as a sidearm and keep the hog as-is then, you'll get the gold standard of airsoft silence without sacrificing firepower.
  21. Now that is overkill, unless you have a really quiet voice and really short arms.....
  22. Theres not too much between the precision/super precisions for feeding as far as i can tell. Always heard the horror stories, but in giving tracers a go went with geoffs super naturals and they look/feel pretty nice, will have to see how they shoot.
  23. It really depends on your objective. Do you want an accurate long-range dmr, or a snappy cqb gun? Because that's going to have a big impact on the areas you'll want to be focusing on.
  24. Surprised you've had issues with geoffs, they're very much my go-to brand and feed in guns that i know are very fussy.
