  1. how tight is the region around the hop? might be possible to convert something a bit better to sit in there if all that's different is the feed tube length.
  2. Tad late to the party lol, he already chose the sensible path.
  3. except this isn't the FB marketplace, we're a community and as unusual as this thread is it's a surprisingly effective means of keeping pricing in the sales at reasonable levels. and if not it's at least a nice dose of banter. nobody's forcing you to change your listed price, or sell the gun for less than you think it's worth, but it would be sensible to consider that you might not be getting many bites if this is the reaction your pricing generates. the reality is you can buy better guns on the market for much less than what you've advertised yours at.
  4. so how much were you planning to haggle down to? because it's going to take quite a bit to reach a more sensible price
  5. the boredom is definately starting to become a thing, contemplating trying to minimise gear noise on the aksu, it's not like i don't have quiet guns either.....

yeah, the aim wouldn't be complete silence, just to make it sound less like a sewing machine.

i suppose HS gears with HT motor would be the best option, no need/desire to increase the ROF or trigger response.

i probably shouldn't do it, it's a great gun just a bit whiney.

Quietest gun I ever heard was a tippman omega. I could not hear the guy next to me firing, to the point I told him I didnt think his gun was working :D

My e&l is like that, very handy for sneaky stuff

  6. the ml macaron's are my go-to for a good rifle rubber these days. if you set it up right it'll lift whatever weight you want to feed it right up to .48's.
  7. in fairness i don't, lot of folk with time on their hands these days.....
  8. is it just me or can i still see some 2-tone paint under there?
  9. Goddamn gate ab mosfets and their ability to stop right at the sweet spot to lock the trigger.....

  10. price isn't necessarily the issue here, but i somehow doubt that much extra barrel hasn't impact the fps a wee bit.....
  11. Well todays pistol shooting was fun, long guns less so.

  12. Hmm, hard to judge just from pics but a v6 might well fit. Hop could be tricky, maybe tdc mod it?
  13. gut it and put more standard internals in it? or if it's at least a standard size cylinder you could probably get an hpa to drop in.
  14. I wouldnt call a post in this thread "advertising" per se.....
  15. Agreed, i can see why youd want to not instantly delete ads but the current way leads to many instances of "oooh shiny aww sold"
  16. we keep planning to do the same thing, our current target is a spring mp40 that feels like it needs an hpa kit in it
  17. and if it isn't that hot that means the spring isn't as good as it's rated, or the air seal is terrible, the latter of which sounds like a wonderful thing for a precision long range gun to have......
  18. wee bit of cut up aeg rubber as a spacer can help there.
  19. tbf as heavily modified hicapa's go it's nowhere near as ugly as most of the offenders in that category, but then that just makes the point about personal taste even more valid.
  20. tbh this industry is so notorious for people getting ripped off i'm surprised anyone is still bothering to come up with new ideas. i did buy an og odin, because i knew i wanted one and at the time the clones hadn't hit the market yet. touch wood it's never let me down and if it ever does i'll buy another legit one because to me the performance is well worth the money. it's a tricky balance, we need this hobby to be accessible, and that does mean on price. not everyone has the luxury of boatloads of disposable income to throw at what boils down to a bunch of toys. and maybe someone who buys a cheap clone thing might well decide they like the idea enough to buy a genuine one when the clone breaks. however, silver makes a very strong point that nobody will want to innovate in an industry where they know not even patents will save them from getting ripped off left right and centre, i can only imagine how shitty it must feel to pour your heart and soul into a product only to see your business fall flat out of the gate under a wave of cheap knock off's. end of the day everyone's going to make their own choice, for their own reasons, and there's damn all chatting about it on an internet forum is going to do to it.
