  1. They get marked the minute you use them so let them wear naturally. Will do preventative maintenance to stop any rusting but its too much effort to keep them pristine.
  2. Collecting is not a defence to import airsoft RIFs. your options are get your UKARA or join a re-enactors group.
  3. have you actually gone on a measured range to see how far you are hitting? My TM 416 can do 50m consistently on 0.28s and can get 65m with a bit of a lob shot. with out dumping serious money and going to DMR power levels you really aren't going to get much better than that. the Whole point of the TMs is that they do what they are designed to do consistently and reliably. accept it's limits and enjoy it or pay a tech to build for you and say good by to another 5/600 quid and you'll have a gun that shoots maybe 10m further and runs the risk of shitting its self at any point.
  4. As an out the box DMR a cyma M14 would be a good start, its relatively cheap has good range out the box and can be improved with a hop rubber and barrel up grade (though just cleaning the barrel will improve accuracy). It doesn't need a MED and retains full auto.
  5. It will be expensive to post and you'll have little to no come back if the rif is broken in transit or just plane goes walkies. Sold stiff in Europe twice. twice guns disappeared with me out of pocket.
  6. I would assume the grips have weights in them trying to add some heft to the gun. Are the real steel versions have significantly different weights?
  7. I may be wrong but my understanding is the op is using the rail and doesn't like the gap the rail creates.
  8. Do you mean this https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/double-bell-m203-40mm-under-barrel-9-grenade-launcher the M203 was designed to hang of the barrel so any ris is going to have a large gap. Options are live with it. Or get a launcher designed with ris in mind. A mad bull or an EGLM.
  9. they may have improved but a few sites have banned blasters for miss shapen/ shattering BBs
  10. Possibly the spring on the trigger bar is gone. it's under the right hand grip panel.
  11. budget recommendation: CYMA M14 this is a clone of the TM version and shoots fantastic out the box, can still be got for £150ish and you get shorter barrel version which will do CQB and out doors, Pretty much any CYMA metal body AK. Mid budget: they are old now but Tokyo Marui P90 RD using MAG 170rd mid caps are a great platform for cqb and can hold their own in wood lands. you could also get a 5-7 as a side arm. Tokyo Marui AUG something different. has take down function so you could swap out receivers/ barrels for different configurations. has progressive trigger or selector switch for semi/auto fire. Top end: Tokyo Marui Scar L Recoil is one of the cheaper of the recoil but has all of the functionality of the newer models. for shits and giggles tokyo Marui AA-12 with a drum mag. Full auto, triple barrel shotgun with recoil. whats not to love?
  12. Cheers for that any replacement stocks you'd recommend not in love with the stock one.
  13. Just got an TM h&k 416 and want to run it on lipos. I have done a search and there appears to be a couple of plug in adapters but they run 20 to 40 quid. I have wire, connectors, shrink rap and a soldiering iron so want to know if there is a method to rewiring or should I just go with the conversion kits?
  14. i get bored quickly. i only have like 10 guns at the moment.
  15. I have no will power. Team mates got recoils so I got am H&K 416. Got an AA12 on the way
  16. With airsoft very few manufacturer offer consistent quality control. For everyone that has nothing but praise for a brand/gun there are an equal number of people that will never touch that same brand/gun again. Buy the gun that ticks the boxes for you, look after it but expect it will break and if its after the first time you use it, the warranty means nothing. Airsoft is not a cheap hobby. After you get your first gun plan to get your next back up gun.
  17. it will depend on the airlines policy regards firearms/replica fire arms. even if you have a valid defence they may not touch them with a barge poll or require a real steel locked case to transport a RIF so only proper answer you'll get is asking them.
  18. 7.4v yeah they don't need touching but the OP is talking about 11 1v with out a mosfet. You'll at least risk over spin in semi. Maybe damage trigger contacts.
  19. Only if you run over powered gas on them. In 22 years I have never had a TM pistol slide break on me. pistols are only meant to be short range back ups they don't need high fps. If you want to out range AEGs then you need a MK23 Nbb.
  20. Sadly the answer is maybe. It may drop in or you may have to sand it to get it to run. The tolerances just aren't good enough to say for certain. Not as interesting but you could put up a wanted add for a stock TM Hi Capa slide at least you know it will fit. Also if the slide is plastic you don't need to upgrade any parts
  21. WE are clone-ish of TMs and its hit or miss whether parts are compatible. You might have luck contact WE directly.
  22. Well you didn't buy a TM pistol so not really. the Umarex USP is a rebranded VFC who have a reputation for beautiful externals crap internals but their HK45 is meant to be good so maybe USP will be fine
  23. Are this out fit still good to buy from?
  24. I believe that classes you as a re enactor so technically yes but it will depend if a particular shop will except your membership. best to ask the airsoft shop rather than us.
  25. TM AUG either the high cycle or standard are great guns. The cross bolt safety now comes with a third position that acts as a fire select as well as the progressive trigger. Not heard bad things about the Chinese clones just finish and tolerances aren't as good. They are easy to work on with a v3 gearbox which is only held in place by a few screws and can be pulled out the stock. You also have the fact it's take down so you can swap upper receivers and barrels. I personally have a fondness for a P90 red dot. Second hand wise a stock TM recoil scar is a fun gun. If you want something DMR CYMA M14 is great outthd box and relatively cheap. CYMA AKs are generally good as are their MP5s.
