If you want to go over the top there Is the swordfish kit https://www.amazon.co.uk/Airsoft-Parts-Swordfish-Conversion-Strike/dp/B08737Z3YP
-
Unless you are including the original parts total cost of parts isn't really good starting point. Also cost of labour doesn't mean anything. Sounds like whole package was about £900/£1000 in total? Unless you really need the money keep it. Upgraded guns don't hold their value as well as so you'd probably get maybe £5/600 for it possibly less. If you looking in the sales section there are a few TM recoils not shifting.
-
What else has been done to it? As 345 is well over what a stock TM can do. I would add put the stock rail back and sell the Dytac RAHG rail separately.
-
Still restricted air flow. i have observed many people play in gas masks in varying levels of function and they have always ditched them in quick order. same with cosplayers actually gas masks aren't really meant to be worn for long periods of time.
-
you could replace the lenses with thick polycarbonate sheet. would require a bit of testing and you would never be sure you could trust them. Also trying to do any sort of activity in a gas mask gets deeply unpleasant quickly. Many have tried most have realised it was a bad idea.

2 second google https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/ics-hi-capa-challenger-gbb-pistol-black unless you are wanting a second hand one? then you are in the wrong section there is a wanted section in the sales section of the forum. Also £215 they better be the best pistol on the market rather than the garbage ICSs other pistols general are.

Personal I would say unless a wooden part is factory fitted assume it will not be a straight fit and be prepared to do some sanding.
-
Its not really easy. Gearboxes are either front or rear wired. Yours should be rear wired if it's a solid stock gun but you may luck out and it's front wired for some reason. To do it properly you need to open the gearbox and redirect the wiring into the front of the gearbox. If you can solder you could make a extension to run to the front if the gun but you maybe struggling for room.

Trying To Find One Of These (Help Me Hive Please)
BigStew replied to Enid_Puceflange's topic in General Help
Best bet will be ebay USA for a second hand one. Due to capacity limits in the UK doubt any UK firearms shop would ever of have them in stock. -
It is all over the place. There are at least 4 or 5 wholesalers in the UK and a some of those will be buying from a eroupean wholesaler, who buy from an Asian wholesaler, who buy from the manufacture. So you can so I can easily see why price differs so much between shops. There is most certainly some piss taking with prices but most shops need a 30 to 40% mark up from wholesale to make it worth their while selling products. I'll bet some of these prices are maybe 5% to 10% mark up just to get them out the door.
-
It maybe gouging or just economies of scale bought at the right time or bought enough from the importer to hit the price point.
-
most likely yes its poor QC but could be excessive wear. if it works just except what it is a don't buy a WE Hi capa next time. the only way to fix it is to spend more on replacement parts than just buying a new one.

custom mag options are find a existing real steel mag shell that you can put the GHK internals into (no idea if such a mag exists) this will be the easiest method though if it can be done. Build a shell from sheet metal (not something to be done with out some metal bending tools and welding gear). design a mag from scratch in something like cad convert to CNC program and say good by to a shit tonne of money as there will be multiple iterations before you get it right. other option would be 3d print design to make a mould and cast your mags( much much cheaper than machining, can be done from a home kit but will time consuming and will be a lot of failures before you get it right. So hate to be a nay sayer unless you have access to industrial rapid prototyping equipment (don't we all wish that) accept you have bought a niche gun with little after market support so what you got is what you got.

Taiwangun Shipping Disruption (Brexit Related Content)
BigStew replied to Speedbird_666's topic in General Discussion
i have found myself come back to certain shops due to price and stock so maybe. Also most UK shops either are associated with a site or have their own site/s so i would assume relying on repeat business especially consumables (it appears to be quiet a common business model world wide for airsoft). -
That's how the real steel mags are(just better plastics) just twigged this is the gas section is this the GHK SIG? Then no there isn't. If its an AEG still no. There are after market mags with better quality plastic like MAG . Only other option is custom made mags or print this abomination https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/sig552-to-m4-adapter

Taiwangun Shipping Disruption (Brexit Related Content)
BigStew replied to Speedbird_666's topic in General Discussion
All supermarkets run a loss on certain products (loss leaders) to tempt people in and spend on the stuff that has a larger profit margins. Most airsoft sites will barely cover costs with green fees and will have minium numbers to break even any profit will rentals and shop sakes they have. Its risky put you can have a business model of selling your primary product at a loss/cost If you can sell high profit products in tandom. -
WE TT-33 or SRC SR33 Threading of the barrel?
BigStew replied to parallel-knight's topic in General Help
its a single stack WE so it's not good. I had a KWA wasn't terrible but not fantastic. there aren't really any good soviet side arms. could go for a KWA VZ61 -
Found a decent price on a complete bolt mp5 receiver and I have a cyma mp5k with a cracked upper. So I want to know are bolt mp5 receiver proprietary or should the fit a standard v2 gearbox?

The 'What have you just bought' Thread
BigStew replied to Cameron364's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Even with out the stock that is a good deal. Even the repo stocks are £120ish if you can find one. -
Just to kick in pedantic mode the slide lock feature was taken off the production MK23 as they thought it was a waste of time. HFC make NBB m9 maybe a better shout than trying to shoehorn in mk23 internals into another frame. But with out a major redesign and manufacturering a GBB cannot be switch from GBB to NBB single shot. All the real steel achive it by mechanically locking the slide with out blocking off the blowback gas flow you would detonate your gun in short order.

WE TT-33 or SRC SR33 Threading of the barrel?
BigStew replied to parallel-knight's topic in General Help
I belive the SRC barrel comes with internal 11mm threaded barrels so you would need an 11m to 14mm adaptor. Don't if WE does but you could get a tap and cut a 11/12mm thread. KWA/KSC tokarev come with plastic barrels so you could cut threads with the 11mm to 14mm adaptor but that might go squint and the thread would strip relatively easy. -
there is a sales forum to put want adds https://airsoft-forums.uk/forum/144-the-af-uk-classifieds/ and you really do not want to put your email up on an open forum.
-
Not quite but they are small https://www.showgunscustom.com/. There hasn't been any good images of the kit disassemble yet to see inside. But given its size some time with a dermal and sheet plastic practically anything will fit in it.

Is it safe putting a 3 cell lipo into the buffer tube
BigStew replied to steverebo's topic in Electric Guns
Yeah batteries will get warm when current is drawn they have resistance. You should only really worry if the battery gets burning hot or puffs up.
