Can not go wrong with a g-shock. Highly recommend one with solar charging, never worry about the battery.

Joules. Hands down, no contest. I'm pretty sure I could chrono my HPA guns on .2s, then watch the joule creep as I use the proper weights I like. I imagine my VSR would probably be closer to 3J if I chronoed to 500fps on .2s and then swapped out to .48s that it needs to perform to its best. I might try this and chrono at some point, just to see what the results would be.
 
At the end of the day, the energy is what impacts and hurts. FPS by itself is meaningless.

FINALLY! just got a steal on this cqb lenght masada barrel. Been after one for ages since i got a PTS masada dirt cheap recently!!

if you are going to use it a lot say for CQB...

@AlphaBear It's a slippery slope though - first it will be 'just' a spring, then new gears, a Titan and then a plethora of Prommy parts. Forget Covid, TM Upgrade-itus is real and symptoms start as soon as you open the damned box - your bank balance will have a 99.9% mortality rate. And just as soon as finished with one gun...you will hear a calling....'buy a TM SCAR'....then it all starts again.....😜

Airsoft reviewers should watch a hickok45 video to learn how to review a gun without sending people to sleep.

Ahh yes, the good ol' airsoft review:
1. Open up the box, take a minute to talk about what its made from while showing some sweeping close-ups.
2. Spend 15 minutes talking about the controls, how ambi freindly they are, and listing every rail mounting point on the gun.
3. Show 3 bb's being fired through a chrono
4. 30 seconds of accuracy "testing" on an indoor range no more than 10m long, remember to shoot off-hand at a cardboard box and not say what ammo your using.
5. Declare it the best thing ever and remember not to say anything bad in case the manufacturer stops sending you stuff to test.
 
Meanwhile i'm left asking "yes but whats the box like? Has it a qd spring? Are there any proprietary parts and if there are are they at least decent? Are there any quirks to dissassembly? Etc etc"
