Graduation present for myself lol.
TM Glock 26 with Nova kit.
I prefer the back barrel.

Got my hands on a Desert Eagle L6, absolute monstrosity 🤣 I'd like to get some Hogue grips for it
Also finally got my genuine Strike Industries Gridlok after all these months!

So, the local nail bar had a refurbishment job and slung out a load of coated 18mm mdf...
Myself and my two boys have a few pews, so a plan formed pretty fast...
18mm mdf is VERY heavy. Lol.
Got the boys to drill and hold things, life skills and all that.
The plan is to outline the guns in a cod zombies way and put the question marks on the storage box like they mystery (aka the jingly) box. Need some shelves to put mags and chargers but not bad for a grand total of £20.
😁

Yeah, I agree that the steel barrel matched with an aluminium slide is not a good idea.
I looked at slide kits for glock 17, and glock26.
I went with the G17 PGC slide for £130, I think it was at the time, and it is a perfect fit and lasted years.
For glock 26 I am building, I went with the Nova slide kit, I was told nova and prime are under the same manufacturer, and I bought an extra prime barrel, and it fits perfectly.
That was £165 with the nova slide kit and extra prime barrel.
I think the guarder can be cheaper, but I do not think it is worth the hassle.
If it was me I would pay the extra to get a better brand if you can.

Thanks.
They look very nice.
I think you are right. At least with Prime and Nova, you are getting peace of mind.

made about 7 or 8 sets of these now. 99.9% fog free days for the last 6 months since I started using them. they run off a 5v USB battery pack (same thing you charge your USB devices with).
They are very quiet, to the point that you don't know the fan is running when you are playing.
I've just built a 12v version for shits and giggles and it runs off a normal AEG battery. The 11.1v lipo I used made it sound a bit loud but a 7.4v battery makes about the same noise as the 5v versions.

Too hot for client work, not too hot to dick about with my own little projects.
Today I made a packing piece out of brass plate for my FNX, to go around those awkward exposed tabs:

decided to make my own gun case. It's not the neatest but it works.
Bought a tool box from b&q, hardboard, pick and pluck foam and a few cans of plasti dip.
I made it three layers with the bottom one glued to the base of the box. With the pistol layer I can pick the foam out for other attachments if needed and just plasti dip that section again to firm it up.
All the layers also have foam under each piece of equipment.

GothicGhost reacted to pauldevon in Rare arms DIY real steel mags
Took the plunge and purchased the rare arms ar15 shell ejecting rifle few weeks ago.so far gun is good and with gimmick of shells flying out of the receiver and the game of hide and seek to find them again lol.so with only the one mag I looked on the net only to find none in stock and cost £26 a pop.so I purchased 2 5.56 metal mags from the net at £7.99 each and when they arrived it was off to the workshop.well 3/4 hr later and some scrap plastic and quick metal putty and a drop of superglue I had a working metal mag at the fraction of the cost of the plastic one they have on offer 😀..anyone else with this rifle feel free to msg me and can run you through the process 😀

Belt kit done*
(from left to right)
* FRV shooter belt
* Grimloc & PIG gloves
*Backcountry Workshop G19/olight holster
* Direct Action dump pouch w/
Esstac kywi mid naked inside
* Esstac double naked kywi tall
* Kydex Customs BFG holder
* Esstac double pistol gap pouch
I shoot rifle LH, pistol RH hence the odd layout! Space left on the left of the belt as this is where the rifle naturally hangs. The holster looks a bit crowded but once the belt is wrapped around me it is clear.
*for a given value of “done”

I posted on this page a while back regarding my head set up. I have made some changes;
Wanted a different helmet (does not match my camo, but this night gaming!)
Better NVG mounting system
Changed the helmet straps, much better load bearing
Counter balance weights
This is much more sturdy than before, can’t wait to try it out soon.

Game day pic. Added a can and a light bar…which turned out not to be the same colour as the surefire so that needs sorting.

I tested out belt setup with 48CI hpa tank because it was too hot for plate carrier, but I think I need a stronger belt for next time.
