  2. Ah, but that's not what I said! Nevertheless, I don't doubt what you've said.
  3. What I am referring to is clearly visible in photos. I'm not worried about the foam breaking to a BB, the angles are rather specific, i've taken steps to prevent entry from below. I was hoping to ventilate them further though by adding 3mm holes in the foam where the plastic supports do not leave gaps greater than 4mm.
  4. Leading from http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/28853-revision-bullet-ant-goggles/ I've seen advice online and occasionally here, and on you tube to remove the foam on full seal eye protection. I don't know how it is on others, but on my Smith Optics, that would create openings laterally larger than 6mm - I already have some difficulty believing the foam would stop a BB. Does removing foam generally compromise the full seal, and people are just ignoring it? The best eye pro i've seen was with the lens raised off the frame by 2-3mm suspended on 5-6 pillars such that it had completely free airflow.
  5. The OP was a little negative, but now he knows, he knows:- People do, in fact, spend money. I wonder what the fellows over at LARP would make of the notion of omnidirectional gear snobbery in airsoft.
  6. There was not intent to be rude, but this vid sits nicely in several ongoing threads. http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/28663-market-research-in-relation-to-education-drones-in-airsoft/?hl=drone http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/29341-probably-the-most-ridiculous-idea-you-will-ever-hear-about-airsoft/?hl=drone OLD but still relevant: http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/22433-drone-cameras-for-airsoft-days/?hl=drone http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/24899-rc-vehicle-use-in-airsoft/?hl=drone#entry183786 http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/24710-drones-quadcopters/?hl=drone#entry181793

  8. Forum search is a thing, Honest! /sour Edit the title to "Camera Drones in Airsoft" EDIT: Enjoyable video. EDIT2: Can you trust that no one would shoot it? Well, you'll have to put a fishbowl on the bottom just in case.
  9. Golf clubs, cars, fish, in the end it doesn't matter. If you're asking what you should do? Do whatever makes you happy. True. As example: I've never bought anything (over £20) I couldn't justify a practical use for in airsoft, but boy have I bought a lot of stuff I did not need. The turning moment was having to spend £400 on boots to correct a disability, and another £100 on helmet/eyepro/mask. After that, a lot of stuff seemed cheaper than it actually was. Those are the best boots I ever did wear, even if the initial product - magnum panther 8s only cost £40. I had never previously owned supportive boots, nor been able to wear wellingtons for that matter, so as a consequence of playing airsoft and paying that, I also got to play with mud this year. /end story.
  10. It's not different to wearing armour in paintball; combat gear has pockets where you need it, combat style armour has the same. The peculiarity, is stuff that you cannot define a function or purpose with using. I've been playing for over 6 months now, and I've still not bought a torch, because I haven't a use for one - its the way it goes, buy stuff YOU think is useful. I've found a platecarrier very useful at avoiding full auto friendly fire - as for carrying stuff, I found a battlebelt worked much better, and I prefer to run the carrier naked. I strongly agree with Jedi above about gloves, helmet, sling. Helmets are excellent, particularly if you have any disability affecting your balance.
  11. Seriously consider buying one of these or alternative. I had one, and still got my reflex shattered on the first day out - from behind.
  12. I've never understood this, many times when I was new to airsoft I started at ZO with their large collection of [out of stock] items, but found stuff elsewhere due to lack of descriptions. They only seem to be able to cut and paste eh? That said, they're frequent goldmine for instock pricematching.
  13. Weapons!? These be Toys in these woods. You're certainly doing the right thing asking.
  14. So, if you have the abbey 100% silicone oil in your barrel, how'd you get it out?
  15. Poster hasn't been back since the minute the thread was posted, dislike people that do that, "fill out our form, but if you have any interesting ideas **** off.
  16. First AEG, not an M4(magazine) rifle, have you considered CYMA/JG - unless you're sure the ergonomics of that platform are for you? I have the K, and I find that theres not much wrong with it externally or ergonomically, it has cheap internals, but making that statement without owning it more than three months is its own fallacy; I've yet to find out the downsides of cheap internals. Though, if you can get a definitively better brand for less than £200 ignore me.
  17. But don't stop talking about things people know not of, now.
  18. @OP, there are knock off lipo charging bags out there. :/
  19. I use my pistol for stealth and multiple target under 3m shots. However as that is such a tiny portion of game, when I bought it I wanted noisey blow back, wish mah rifle was quieter though. Also, a lot is two words except when Allotting or talking about imaginary hairy horned monsters.
  20. This is partly why I ruled out buying tacticool gear (other than gloves/safety) in the UK, far to much pricing by purpose (and comparison with brand products) than by actual hierarchical price to quality. Idd, price aside, would this be just as fraudulent to you if the title contained the words "imitation" or "style"? As for evike, I agree with the above, if not for their Youtube presence as countpoint I doubt they'd be so large, as for their site layout, I still agree, except for this page, where I send curious people (that are not interested in buying).
  21. On amnesties; Neither IFs or RIFs are required for the sport. It could be hugely damaging to airsoft to run around with airsoft internals in externals akin to a supersoaker or nerf gun, the sport could survive... Though the implementation costs would destroy the sport. Incidentally, any idea how this legislation could affect toy guns which are actually produced for children? What i mean to say is, if it was worst case, could toy guns, such as water guns and nerf get sucked up by these amnesties. At first you might think, "why would they", but it would not take long for nerf clones to pop up with factory installed airsoft parts - if nerf guns were exempt (example), basically, it has to be all (unlicensed) guns or nothing? Im sure we've all seen that vid of the guy shooting police in london with a nerf gun - cant be certain its not real ammo. We all know that all you need for a real gun is the ammunition, anyone with appropriate skills can create a firing device (a gun). Going after imitation firearms is a cheap shot that serves no useful purpose, imo, and as most others have said.
  22. And you don't even see what's wrong about that? Hah, excellent.
  23. All I see is a guy with a finger inside the trigger guard. Really couldn't care less about the rest, choice of gun perhaps.
