  1. For the speedloader i have the small TM one, says it fits 100bb's, but found you can overfill it just up to about 130 which is perfect for a midcap. I've actually got a spare box of MAG 130rd midcaps http://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/mag-m16-130-rds-mag-box-set-8-pcs-plastic Only used one of them a couple times, yours for £40, if you're interested pm me, i work in Reading so could prob sell in person if you're local?
  2. Anything that simulates being in the military i guess! Longshot has it right, is just people taking it (i.m.o far too) seriously and lots of extra rules / detail to the game scenario. And probably spread over 24 hours or a weekend. I've had bad experiences with it, too many army-wannabe douche-bags bitching/arguing with each other and not enough action, combined with no freedom to do what you want (gotta follow orders apparently). I'd rather have an argument with the missus the night before a game, get kicked out the house, and sleep in a tent outside a normal skirmish site. At least then I'd get a days worth of airsoft out of it. Hoping to go to one the big events this year and have a better time about it, increased numbers should hopefully increase the odds of having enough decent cheerful types around to make being stuck in a patch of woods for 24 hours a good time not an endurance.
  3. MAG make very good plastic 130 rd mid-caps, nice and cheap too! Work perfectly in my ICS. If you wanna be OCD brand match about it then ICS make midcaps from their latest couple series of M4's too As for speed-loaders I got a TM small one and it does the job perfectly.
  4. Every time, airsoft is a quite active 'sport' but also quite nerdy, so there's lots of people who seem to only get exercise moving between their console and fridge! There's always a bunch of tubby types loitering outside spawn point, fruitlessly emptying hi-caps at the opposition in the distance. Not bothered about people ignoring objectives and just concentrating on shooting the opp, but at least got to be pro-active about that! And always find queues of dithering people pinned down and not wanting to be the first to step out/round and engage. Such behavior can be frustrating from your own team, but they're all usually much easier than a proactive player to shoot if on the opp team All boils down to luck of the draw and whether you get significantly more lazy players than the opp to make a day bit of a loosing battle/shite. Can be the other way round and have an excellent time kicking lazy butt
  5. Can't think of anymore quotes, but have had a few comedy conversations; At The Mall they usually run a 4 and in re-spawn, meaning when you get to your teams spawn location you have to wait until there are 4 or more players, then you all re-spawn. Bear in mind you have the freedom to call yourself as hit at any point and there's unlimited lives and no scoring of hits taken. I encountered a group of 4 people at my teams spawn point, 3 in a group standing one side the line, one standing on the other. "Ahh that's 5 then, cheers for waiting (assumed they'd seen me jogging towards)" "No we're not dead, we're waiting for enough people for our friend to respawn, need 2 more now! (cheerful optimism)" "You know you can call yourself hit at any time right?" "No we're not hit, just waiting for our friend" (Another 2 corpses arrive) "Fuckit, that's 4, game-on! See you guys at the zombie event! (chuckle)" "Zombie event, when's that?" "Erm depends on interest i guess, saturday nights i think" "Do you get to shoot zombies?" "Not sure, think so, a little bit, but might be using a blank gun, can't bring your own gun and run around screaming and spraying or anything" (disapproving murmurs) "Can always just find someone brain-dead to shoot today, usually some hanging round their spawn" "Where's the enemy spawn?" "Other end the main concourse" (blank looks) "Down that way until you get to the end" I did actually check with the marshals that calling yourself hit to allow players to spawn was ok, and not borderline cheeky in any manner, they said it was perfectly acceptable of course! If you tried to just sit in the spawn and do this continually for the whole team they'd probably have a word, but that word would mostly be 'you know you paid to shoot and get shot at right?'
  6. "This guns stopped working, no power, and the wheel on the mag isn't charging it up anymore"
  7. Its the hole the gears peg sits in, bushing is just a tube, bearings have small metal balls inside a ring to remove friction and provide better spin.
  8. Strategy games is usually PC territory, only one can think of on Xbox is Defense Grid 2. Trying to move the pointer/arrow/selector across a large screen/game area using a controller rather than a mouse is just too tricky so they don't bother porting many to console Your better off anyways, PC strategy games like Civilization will turn you nocturnal and consume time like a black hole
  9. £300 is enough for a decent Tokyo Marui, high-cycle even but about 150 short of a recoil version.
  10. I've got a TransforM4 that has same internals, had it misfeed after i managed to push the inner barrel in a bit which squashed the hop rubber on the end of it so it was an ellipse rather than a circle hole. All that sketchiness between firing modes simply aint right though, agree send it back!
  11. I won one and have only used it couple times, prefer my FN5-7, does the job though! I agree it's probably a perpetuated thing rather than having enough merit to justify. And the real-steal is quite popular with many military/police groups the whitmans out there like to emulate.
  12. Blimey a puffed up cell means you've essentially been sent a letter-bomb!
  13. I thought ASG was re-branded CYMA, so they'll prob be the same apart from one having a flash-hider and stock. I looked at getting MP5K and would have either gone for the Classic Army for metal, or TM for plastic. It's another gun TM to a high-cycle version of so yet again that's where my vote goes!
  14. Do you have to vote for them or just put a couple quid in the box?
  15. Was no local Looney for me or i would have, always a classic. Turning the country into a giant episode of Monty Python seems better than the alternatives
  16. Anything declared a bargain by a picture of King Oompa-Loompa must be so, they should mention this verification on the website. And I think you're entitled to de-rail your own thread, but perhaps you do need more sleep if you'd missed the fact its yours lol.
  17. Definitely beats a b500a1 or any the other 'BB guns' at similar price! I'd prob spend another £30 and get an entry lvl ICS or GG though. But then that'd be about 100 so might as well spend a little bit more to get a... damn i've spent £500 on a tm recoil p.s. on that page WTF makes the 'limited edition' G28 worth £900!? doesn't even come with the scopes!
  18. Probably cos nothing arrives through the post after a week so they want to gauge if it's just bad luck requiring more patience or an actual concern. Agree with M_P lol, I'd never blindly buy anything from a online retailer I'd not heard of
  19. If not G&G then buy any ICS M4 or if you've got bit more cash and want something better buy whichever Tokyo Marui takes your fancy
  20. I thought in airsoft DMR meant Dump Money Rifle and it's just what you call your AEG after you've compulsively bought every after-market part and accessory you can find to make it sound more serious?! Nothing wrong with that of course, tinkering is half the fun! Do consider the notion of 'DMR' being a separate genre of airsoft gun a bit hilarious though To the OP - To pose the question suggests a bit of inexperience, every 'upgrade' you make will have a minuscule effect you wont be able to notice outside of a laboratory testing ground. A passing bird farting will affect the BB trajectory more than anything you can do to an AEG, people forget it's only pushing a 6mm plastic ball out of a tube! The dark-art seems to be gaining a full appreciation of everything you can do to an AEG and finding that sweet spot of balance between the components, even appreciating what that sweet spot is will take much experience in building AEG of various makes/models. (don't get me wrong, I haven't found it!) It's got to be a significant % of AEG that have a few internal components swapped by the owner and end up performing worse as the balance has been disturbed. I would recommend just swapping the inner barrel for a tight-bore one and see how that goes. If you have trouble getting the hop-up unit functioning sweet after swap then a gearbox aint what you wanna be opening. If it's a piece of piss and you feel a noticeable difference then maybe consider the other stuff listed in the linked sniper-guide. Maybe i'm underestimating your abilities a bit, but its good to be cautious with your AEG and your pic is Karl Pilkington
  21. Couple weeks ago I saw someone walking along talking on their radio about opposition troop movements etc. At first I thought he was on my team and pushing forwards. Then I realized he was on the other team. To me this indicated that he was a live player as only live players are allowed to provide such information to teammates, and he must have just been stretching his arm, so I gave him a nice little burst of 25 rps. He wasn't too happy about this so I explained my reason for considering him a live player and he didnt argue, just sulked off towards his respawn. This is now my tactic for such douche-bags, if you're gonna act like a live player you're getting shot like one
  22. I asked a couple local sites about a similar issue for a friend, he is prone to mild muscle spasms and suffers some lack of coordination from it. One site said it may be an issue if he was affected enough to not be deemed in control of when he fires the weapon, but after checking with their insurance policies etc said it was fine and just suggested he didn't keep his finger on the trigger, but were perfectly satisfied that he was in control of his actions to a safe degree. The other said it was fine and their only related policies was that if someone is disabled to the extent where they require supervision/assistance then this supervision must be provided, and that if someone is disabled to the extent where they are not considered responsible for their actions then they can't play even if whoever is responsible for them thinks it's a good idea. I missed a day at The Mall where a guy in a wheelchair was playing, he couldn't feel anything below the waist so any hits to his legs were deemed to not count. There was reportedly great comradery in helping him get around the site and he had a fantastic time. From talking to the marshals about it their only stipulation was that there was always enough people with him to provide assistance (if required) to evacuate the building in an emergency, they had a marshal follow him to ensure this was the case. From what i gather the only issue for disabilities and airsoft is whether someone can be deemed in control of their actions or not Sounds like your brother will be fine, and wish you both a good time airsofting!
  23. MP5K is another gun TM make a high-cycle version of so another one i must suggest this for. I'll get a sponsorship deal one day. Is plastic and spits bb's like a hose, all you need is two of em, a trench coat and some cool shades
  24. Clearly not lol, Retracted. Usually show that kind of thing first to demonstrate the power of the device. No opportunity yet to suggest not opting for a helmet that's too shiny so I'm outta here
  25. yeah should at least have an example of a lesser helmet being smashed to give an indication of how powerful that contraption was. Can be certain a metal bar dropped from 2 feet wont break it though i guess. they're all strong enough for airsoft anyways.
