Yeh barely any point sniping in airsoft let alone using one out the box! You'll want one pushing the limits (450), could buy a new one and just upgrade the spring for like £20-30? Think you can get the entry level Tokyo Marui VSR-10 for about £175 from Zero One

Does anyone know anything about Zebra Armour?
Colonel Kurtz replied to Materia's topic in General Help
www.zebraarmour.com/ Seems legit, a manufacturer of actual rather than immitation gear. Seems excessive in terms of price and funcionality, but perhaps someone has bought one and can advise how comfortable to wear it is... -
yawn obvious troll is obvious just read the numerous existing threads of people bitching about it

Madbull Hop Up Tracer Unit (Hutu)
Colonel Kurtz replied to SeniorSpaz87's topic in Accessory Reviews
i looked at getting one of these to save having to use the supressor and reducing the amount i seem to whack it on stuff in the dark Mall basement, good to know the wiring's abit of a pain! have you tried it with tracer mags? be interesting to know if combined they give it a glow on par with a supressor based tracer unit -
Pretty sure McClane uses M249 for a chunk of 'A good day to die hard' so rather than army gear thats a license to dirty white vest it IMO

Works even better if you use it with the TM ammo made from unicorn droppings

Perhaps a little larger than some SMG (not by much), but I got a TM High-cycle P90 and it rates as 'most triumphant' on the Bill and Ted scale of excellence Like all TM it's around 280 fps, but that does meen it kicks out 25 rounds a second...

What kind of jobs do you guys have to support airsoft? :)
Colonel Kurtz replied to a topic in General Discussion
Going to UNI is def good to have under the belt. As well as an education you'll get laid more too. Don't not go for the sake of getting money for airsoft sooner. Might as well join the army instead if abit o pew-pew takes priority! -
agree bulldog is shite, had loads of them split when fired. Usually use Excel and they've done the job without issues. i bought some Tokyo Marui bb's when were on sale from Zero One and they've been flawless (and possibly mystically better like anything TM) far too uncommon/pricey to use all the time tho

No specific date listed, i am unsure if it poor google translation but there was mention of simultaneous release with the Anime, might be when the 3&4 episodes get us/euro release? No further details of tech specs last i looked

Yeah the thermal view is pretty good for the mall, shame wasnt wielded by the guy with the 3 point laser for total predator tactics. Apparently the gun mount only fits an iphone4 so this guy just uses his old phone amd doesnt worry about it meeting a BB bashed end

Hehe nah that gun was my crime against realsteel nature, someone else had an actual halo gun Can buy them from Landwarrior for about 800 atmo

most couriers will pay the tax up to £50 and it'll get released straight through if got your ukara details on it, if it's more then courier'll make you pay first and it sit in customs until then.

I have a DVD boxed set of MacGyver and all the relevant stationary, as well as a pair of clippers to give myself an appropriate mullet The tv show was hilarious, all these mad yanks digging bunkers etc, especially that they all had one very specific 'end-of-the-world' scenario in mind. This kid of futile paranoia is bad for people. One the most recent american school massacres last year was done by a kid whoose parents were such paranoid nutters, and had trained him to use an AR15 to fight off the commie invasion. Personally, I'm pretty certain an apocalypic event is going to make the odds of you even having time to crawl into your bunker slim, and at best give you a couple months of unpleasant living.

The only thing that you could judge a magazine 'unrealiable' on is if it fails to feed a BB into the gun. As hi-caps require continual winding, most people would consider mid-caps more reliable as they require no winding. The difference between the two is; Hi-Caps have a chamber to hold BB's, and then a mechanism (winding) that draws these BB's into a tube with a spring it it. So you open the flap, poor in BB's and wind the mag to draw them into the spring. Mid-Caps dont have the chamber, just the tube with the spring. You use a loader to push bb's in from the top until the spring is fully compressed. Some magazines fail to feed the last few BB's and some might consider this 'unrealiable', Different manufacturers can be deemed more or less reliable, but i've not noticed a particular difference between any of them. I've not noticed any difference other than having to wind or not between mid and high caps. An M4 mag is pretty much an M4 mag regardless of who makes it.

Box of 5 450 rd G&G hi-cap mags is usually about £100, can get them from Zero One http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?cPath=272&products_id=9158 Most people would only carry 2-3 hi-cap mags per game as thats plenty of ammo (so maybe just buy a couple individually for about £30-40). Many prefer to use mid-cap magazines as although they only have 1/3-1/2 of the capacity you don't have to wind them. Mid-Caps are more commonly sold in boxes of 5 or more, and can cost about £50. Perhaps this is what whoever told you meant.

Airsoft related jobs for 14 year old
Colonel Kurtz replied to AirsoftgoesAli's topic in General Discussion
You could run a gaming service for your mates earning them XP on BF4 and similar? At 14 I made most my money raketeering whatever the latest collectable playground craze was at the time, but it's all computer games now so bit trickier... -
I'd would recommend you use hire-guns until you have been to a site enough to get membership and added to the UKARA database (a database retailers use to verify your legal defence for buying an imitation firearm) Then you can buy one that looks real and not painted 50% bright colour, if you get into airsoft it'll prob piss you off having one painted in such a manner. Most people don't have the patience for waiting to get membership/UKARA (as takes 3 months) and end up with a redundant bright coloured gun sitting in their closet (got 2 myself). For that price range you should get either; G&G combat machine ICS M4 (tons of them just pick which one you like) For retailer best 2 are Firesupport & Zero One. (Just dont buy anything from a website/store with 'BB' in the title) Or... keep using the hire-guns at site until youre positive you want to keep doing it long-term, and spend twice the cash on a Tokyo Marui gun, and never have to replace, upgrade (and probably not repair) it ever.

what do you look for in a website
Colonel Kurtz replied to team flex's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
If you're paying 5 figures to have a website made (saw you coming) then you dont need any advice from these forums. If they cant get it perfect for that price i'd jump on your stead and go pillage their village -
Mk6/Mk7 British helmets.
Colonel Kurtz replied to Kommandant_Epicness's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Is it only illegal if the helmet was listed on a 1157 or 1098, or are they all universally considered stollen if not returned, and them not being listed as returnable kit a clerical error rather than permission to keep/sell? -
Where did you buy this snake oil, and will it work on my PTW?

Mk6/Mk7 British helmets.
Colonel Kurtz replied to Kommandant_Epicness's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
It would count as stolen property? -
lower gear ratio increases rate of fire, not something you'll need to worry about with semi-only
