Never got to drive it, would have stood better chance of asking for a go on his wife, in that he might have chuckled and said yes as a joke On to a Viper and the Aston eh, that's a pretty damn good progression, getting slightly less bonkers each time, hopefully wont end up in something entirely sensible like a BMW, maybe an M would be fittingly fast.

Yeah friend of mine's dad had the same car, and same experience. I had the pleasure/terror of being in the passenger seat a couple of times and was awesome. I think if i won the lottery i'd still buy one these then send it to some fancy refurb company to essentially entirely re-make it out of carbon-fiber and functional mechanics. Perhaps give it an unecessary spoiler or something as my only dislike of TVR's are the rounded 'fat ass' they all have. On closer inspection i think the pic i grabbed from google is actually from GT 5 on PS3 lol.

Semi-auto user, about to use lipo, mosfet yay or nay?
Colonel Kurtz replied to SCAR_Jester's topic in Electric Guns
Ah yes was an 'm' infront that 130 there, i read it as 130% for some reason. should be fine with existing motor if it is the ICS CXP16L, esp if it came with the motor it says on the box and not downgraded. -

170% should be much harder to pull than a 130% one and reasonably more FPS. high torque motor prob required there, depends what motor you got in it already. Guessing it's the ICS CXP16L? ICS are a wierd one, their standard euro-version of the CXP16 will have a motor with enough torque (3000 model i think), but many UK retailers have got them to put a lesser motor in guns supplied to them (such as Fire Support as Frank told me) as the springs are down-graded to meet UK fps limits and not required... -
Mine is very attainable, just need 15K for a good one and only a need to drive it when it's working (couple weeks a year). Lottery wins etc would obviously increase the reach of my dreams for cars, P1 the current one there.

In my mind all such boiler suits should have a ghost-busters logo Agree looks pretty ex-CCCP-ish which is all good. Anything is all-good to be fair, wear wtf you like, whatever is most comfortable and feels most cool/badass. It's only milsim events where you have to wear specific clothing and people will get fussy about not looking soldierish enough (had to tell several unhappy-fat-ass types to go fudge themselves and/or join the army when I turned up to one in jeans, trainers and camo t-shirt (t-shirt was correct specified camo-pattern)

cool nice one, will do cheers pal! the rail i'm intending to put it on has already been filed-down a little to make some other fussy attachments fit so hopefully be all good! thanks again

Anyone know a good UK place to buy a RIS mount for GoPro Hero4? Google only presents me ebay items shipped from China and only one store called 'Ant Supplies' which I've never heard of and has an offputtingly simple website. Trying to get one in time for game this sunday or would just go for eBay, borrowing the gopro from a friend as would have bought this at same time if was my camera

Only gun I've had that was proper shite was a JG M4 (from the inside of a thundermall) It's sold without the body kit as a JG 'Tanker' CQB. The car-battery fuse was my first clue, then the pseudo-rivets made from rolled metal sheet and hammered in instead of screws/bolts. The barrel looked like it was made from standard brass piping of some kind with no inner coating and a flat sawn end. The gear-box - well I can't tell as it had imploded when I got given the gun but was a sticky grey mess and I was able to snap one of the supposedly 'metal' (looked like some kind of plastic-graphite-ish hybrid material) gears with my bare hands. The pistol grip was covered in car rubberised dashboard paint (which rubs off when applying any amount of angled pressure, with 1 finger) Enough to put me off buying anything made by JG ever. I don't count the two £40 B500A1s I first bought as more shite as they're actually better than I expected

All my sympathy turned into hilarity when reading the robbery was interrupted by 'paranormal investigators'. Perhaps they might have been able to identify the thieves if the investigators footage wasn't all shaky night-vision. If the burglars had been caught it would have been a full on episode of Scooby Doo I imagine the police have deferred investigation to a team of psychics hired by the shop owners.

People still go to shops to ask the shopkeep since the internet and people used to ask impartial enthusiasts for advice before the internet. In my mind it's just a new medium and still very similar behaviour. As for kids; is all down to how much an adult offsets their parental duties to electronic entertainment, but same shit happened before the internet, kids just got ignored without an easy electronic babysitter to fill the gap. When I was a kid we blew our money on shite like football stickers and other collectables (pogs etc). these days it's micro transactions in computer games.

Encountering awesome/honourable player
Colonel Kurtz replied to jeffery7466's topic in General Discussion
Always got to be those who stay cheerful, encourage the dithering groups, congratulate hits. Seen a couple people dive action hero style into a room and take out few, a nutter with 6 pistols clearing a room was pretty awesome. Also saw someone jump on a grenade but thats equally the other thread and was against the rules -
Playing somewhere without it means every face to face encounter results in shots and having missed and been missed in equal measure i find it good fun. Once managed to shoot and get shot in the gun, and same for the nuts; both collapsed to the floor then what we thought was a grenade got chucked in, i dove out the way to then realise it was a plastic ball from the mall's kids playground, a common cheeky tactic with random debris there hehe. Shooting someone in the back takes a second or two to aim for a pouch or chest plate, even if they dont feel it they'll hear it, turn round to a raised rifle and realise. Admitedly when theres more than one opp dont really have much time/ability to aim anywhere too specific

Hmm perhaps me drawing a cock fuking a pussy last time helped form the coalition

If airsoft guns were cars I'd consider a 'custom M4' like buying a 1 litre hatchback some teenager put a Halfords exhaust kit on and fuked around with to try make it more fast and furious... I'm a sceptic and would consider such a gun likely to be another M4 that aint quite right, and after lots of loving tinkering/ill-balanced upgrades the person is giving up and using a gun that works properly instead. Or perhaps a repaired franken-gun someone is getting a quick buck off. Either-way not for me! There's always that pride and joy someone's having to sell at huge loss to keep the bailiffs away, but that's a rare one and i'd never buy a airsoft gun with significant modifications/upgrades otherwise, probably anything done to the gearbox would stop me buying. I agree get the M249 back. If you have to sell the M249, do it for cash and buy a half decent M4.

what is the best method to paint an airsoft gun?
Colonel Kurtz replied to toneill562's topic in General Discussion
if it's plastic then I found the Krylon fusion range works very well and didn't require primer, think it might have even been bigal that suggested it to me when I asked on the forums! -
Best-case solution would be a Judge Dread dna-trigger-lock that blows your arm off if you're not the owner, but UV def good idea. Hope the thieving fukers OD, and their dealer is dumb enough to try sell the guns online! Definitely worth asking local gun/fishing shops if they've had any related enquiries, a friend of mine had his air-rifle nicked and they ended up catching the thief after my mate phoned round local gun shops and found one that had had a grey-eye'd junkie ask them about value/how to sell a gun of his make/model. CCTV footage from the shop showed the guy and the cops were very familiar with who it was. Unfortunately this kind of investigation has to be done yourself, and if you do get a 'lead' it'll take a painfully long phone-call to the cops to get them to act on it.

How cool would this be for an airsoft site! :D
Colonel Kurtz replied to a topic in General Discussion
Some mates and I did a driving tour of the north coast of France (up to Holland) looking at such coastal bunkers etc and every single one was littered with BB's, beer cans and occasional crack/smack debris. So for an airsoft site looks like it'd just be making it legal as seems to happen anyways! Coolest place we visited was the bunker/factory complex where they launched the V2's. I did feel robbed having seen the website which shows what appears to be a genuine V2 sat in a launch bay. When we got there turned out it was a picture of one on a drape... that place would be epic for airsoft! P.S. In my opinion its no more unfitting to play airsoft in a WW2 bunker than it is to dress as a soldier to play airsoft at all! -
Hehehe I'll deface the ballot but not the country

Can agree with the different sites rules issue. Had a guy sneak up on me in the Mall basement, tap me on the shoulder and said 'gotcha'. I turned round and asked him what he'd tapped me with, he replied his hand so I asked him if he had a rubber knife on his person, he said no so I shot him in the chest plate. he wasn't very happy about this and must have drifted off during whichever bit of the 45minute safety brief referred to being no capture surrender or 'bang' kill rules. He angrily asked if I'd rather he shot me at that range and I told him "yes, because then we wouldn't be having this argument" If he'd at least had a rubber knife i'd have taken the hit. If he'd just said 'bang' I would have said 'the matrix', claimed to have dodged his imaginary bullet and then shot him with an actual BB

I'll be defacing my ballot again as no monster raving looneys around these days. I'm still trying to decide how to deface it, perhaps a nice little sketch of a penguin, or a crudely drawn cock, or a crudely drawn penguin with a cock...

Can appreciate that, I looked into making a star trek gun. Found surprisingly that no-one makes a toy phaser rifle and only ones I can find available online are like £500 solid metal casts of movie props. Closest thing I found was a toy Klingon disruptor pistol that was shit plastic, was only about a tenner so bought one, and it's just not solid enough to do much with! Surprised no-one has made a CX4 or MX4, they look damn good and not as if Beretta is an obscure manufacturer or anything! I've seen a company called UKArms made a slightly sturdier looking black spring one, but can only find a couple for sale in US. Also, the airsoft orange toy versions all seem to be sold under sniper category which doesn't seem quite right

Hehe well Stargate is MP7's now anyways so i'm outta excuses Can see what you mean, fortunately I'm no giant so fits well but can see how it might make someone have to walk around with their elbows stuck out like they're doing a chicken impression! Beretta MX4 Storm mmmmhmmm that is a tasty burger! Its brother CX4 not bad either! I'd almost be tempted to buy the available springer version and refit it.
