  5. First off - this is the best place i could see for this post - however if its in the wrong place then apologies to the Mods. Ive played air soft a few times recently at a few good sites, being a paintball player and site owner from the past i can see how games should work, whats exciting, what works etc etc. Ive been speaking to players at the sites ive played at, and also shop owners when ive been going to get new gear - one thing that ive heard is that sites seem to be closing or are too big or too small etc etc - you cannot please everyone, but new sites are needed. Anyway back on point, and i will make it short and sharp. Theres a paintball only site currently classed as Northampton/Wellingborough. I know the owner, and have told him to open his site up to airsoft - which he is open to - it gives the players another place to play. Bennefits are: Freindly staff Independantly owned CQB and open game zones Plentry of parking HPA available Clean site - plenty of bins Refreshments Im suggesting an open day for 30 players - Free of charge for the day. Bacon Rolls, Tea and Coffee supplied Free of charge too. Marshalls (air soft enthusiasts too) for the day are also included. Bring your own Kit and BBs as these wont be supplied. All we ask in return is that after the games are finished for the day, you spend some time with us giving feedback on the gamezones, site in general, if you would come back etc etc. This can also be done on breaks! If there is enough interest here, i will post up a date in jan, and take the first 30 playes that list themsleves down. If the feedback is good, then i will follow this up as a perm Air soft site and do the necessary to open officially. Thanks for looking.

  10. I'd avoid the low end CYMA CM5xx M4s. While the internals are fine, the plastic feels (and is) really cheap. When I say I have no regrets about getting one, it's more because it was a decent base to play around with internally and externally, and it's still in the backup-backup bag as a last-resort gun. As far as I'm aware, there isn't a bad budget G36. They all have a rotary hop unit, the length is fine for CQB or woodland, and I really like the ergonomics. The only downside is that the battery space isn't great, but it's not really a problem either: I run ~1400mAh block batteries and always change at lunch anyway. You can run G36 mags, or with a ~£10 magwell adaptor, it'll take M4 / STANAG mags instead. I'm happy with my Jing Gong G36C, it's my my go-to now. Based on a disassembly video, the CYMA looks essentially identical, and CYMA V3 gearboxen (as used in their AKs) are well regarded. That said, PatrolBase have an "Evolution Airsoft" for £10 more which has a microswitch (meh) and a quick change spring (nice). That's more of an unknown brand though. Might be worth a punt, you might want to stick with CYMA, but either way, I'd recommend it as a platform.

  11. No. Whilst you will get a few more features on a full Perun Hybrid, you will have to open up the gearbox to fit it and the V3 version involves gluing bits to the selector plate. Easy enough if you've worked on a few guns and are happy to take it apart, but unless you have a spare gun or two (in case you cock up), I would suggest you leave well alone. The ETU++ is simply plug and play - and will give you 90% of the features of the Hybrid in a smaller package than the stock G&G ETU. You won't gain much switching out the hop units/rubber/nub/barrel on the higher-end G&G guns, they are pretty decent stock.

  12. if you can get try and get it ranged before you do anything. On full auto power limits you should be able to get accurate fire out to 50/55 metres and lobbing 60ish metres (only full auto AEG i have seen shoot further is an M14). so if your gun is getting that sort of range there is not much more to squeeze out of it range wise.

  13. Yeah that is fair enough the motors can work but I just find them so lethargic when you try and push them. I agree that it can still be used, just wanted them to be aware that they will have a noticeable reduction in response and cycle time if they just put a bigger spring in and don't make any other modifications.

  14. FORUM MODERATORS: Can sale items marked as completed have the 'message seller' button removed, or after a while be deleted. I have had repeated emails asking if a shotgun I sold 2 years ago is still available. 2 in the last couple of months...

    TM MP5 NGRS Owners

FINALLY got my hands on an MP5 and four spare mags. Found a solution for mounting a scout light which works really well, and allows use of the original TM forend for maximum battery space. The claw mount is the wide TM version. You can mount an optic towards the back, with room to spare for a Surefire offset mount in front of it. The Scout light is long enough that shadowing isn’t an issue, but short enough that ambidextrous handling is still possible without having to change the forend and use a vertical grip. Pressure switch is just taped neatly on the top, as I like to shoot thumb over bore / C-clamp. Got a night game coming up soon and can’t wait to try her out. The suppressor is the TM pro tracer, attached to the adapter which comes in the box with the MP5. Looks good enough for me.
