Great evening shoot at Trigger Happy Airsoft in Belfast. First time playing there and gameplay was fast and frantic at time, proper CQB vibes. Bit disappointed I couldn't chuck my BFGs but understand as its nearby streets and out of respect to the neighbours. Noticed a few safety concerns and reported them directly to the marshals and they where appreciated and supportive of constructive feedback. I hadn't filled my air tank for Mp7 HPA rig and it ran out middle of a fire fight, dead trigger ๐ Back to the safezone and grabbed by back up DE M923G which I forgot how decent out of the box. Spoilt with CQB sites at the moment and I know my next outdoor skirmish im going to do some whinging ๐๐๐4 points -
The film prop was a 37mm flare launcher. Fun fact, it's the exact same prop gun that Arnie uses in Predator. Also - the M16 front on the M4 receiver gives me Forrest Whittaker eye.3 points

New gun day. โค๏ธ Tac 41 lite, it's reputation preceeds it. Beautifully made and well presented in its box. I opted to get the extra 110 shot magazine for aesthetics and functionality, it came with the smaller one already in the box and an extra spring. The quality is evident, especially the aluminium receiver/scope mount. Glad I opted for this rather than the sport version. It's quick and easy to assemble, there's instructions in the box but being a man I didn't need them. Id watched enough YouTube reviews before purchasing to know how to put it together. I'll be purchasing more mags and the recon stock from fire support in the future to give me more flexibility in the field but for now I'm a very satisfied customer. Unfortunately I'm not allowed it till Christmas, so I haven't properly fired it yet but the action is smooth and it all functions perfectly. Can't wait for Christmas. Thanks to impulse and others for the recommendation.3 points

Yeah, that makes sense. I'm not too worried about someone nicking like... a scrim net, but I'm definitely not leaving my SRS (my usual backup because small, light and easy to pack) lying around the safe zone, let alone any of my rare guns. Hopefully the m24 and HK45 will work flawlessly, because I'm not bringing spare guns ๐1 point -

Whilst i stick my spare Rifs in the car, i leave everything else in the safezone, and never had an issue. There are small lockers that are free I believe (but ive never used them). From memory, they ask to chrono Mk23s only.1 point -
A Tokyo Marui Combat Delta EBB? I had never heard of this one. There appears to be a line-up of TM AAA battery powered 6mm airsoft pistols. I had to have one in my modest collection and opted for a 1911 copy. Got it from a German airsoft store. It's not expensive, the plastic is rather toy grade. Performance is toy-grade as well. It only dented the paper target I used for testing. It's a can plinker. Glad I got one ๐1 point

Another from postman Pat this morning, via the classified section off here. This one I don't have to wait till Christmas for. Was supposed to be for the lad, but I think I'm going to struggle to hand it over. Will replace the scope for something better, I have some spares off my old airguns. Already stripped it down and reassembled it for fun, rather simply to do really as you lot will know. The piston head was a little loose, but it fires better now. Definitely need to get a Chrono next payday ๐ The pistol was a cheap bonus as I have one already that's playing up a bit. This one has the striker hop.1 point

That brings back memories. I had a Beretta M92F flavour of that series of electric pistols 20-something years ago. As you said, it's a plinker but it would still make a very satisfying kill on a skirmish.1 point

The... very business focused rules at Driver Wood is the worst aspect of the site I will agree, but... I somewhat ignore that side of it. I'm not going hungry just because I don't want to buy their food, and my kit tends to include a backpack as I like to try and go as close to real-steel as I can, and field sustainment is a thing. That backpack will have food in it... Though I will say I don't mind the barrel sock thing. Yeah, I only use gas guns, so if the mag is out, my gun's only going to make a clicking noise when I pull the trigger while it's primed and it's annoying to have to use a barrel sock that does nothing for me, but I have seen more than enough AEG and HPA safe zone dry firing to not mind the extra bit of safety. And I think the MED on 1.1J guns is just poorly communicated, as when we went there we asked the marshalls if single shot was fine and they said yes, but we asked because in the safety brief it really sounded like rifles had a 5-10m MED for no reason. Personally, I enjoy every game I've been to Driver Wood. Granted, it's not regularly because I don't know anyone near me who drives there and could give me a lift, but with my own driving test around the corner I imagine I'll be going regularly once I've passed and have my own car, as I do really enjoy the site itself, and regardless of the game design I can usually make a good site a fun day of airsofting for myself.1 point -
Sky's Halo airsoft projects (WIP)
Lyndication reacted to SkywardSoul117 for a topic
Hello again, Op Venezian, the UK's first dedicated Halo LARP / Airsoft event has come and gone. It was a great event, with some lovely people and fun times. It was hosted at Gunman in Eversly, so a bit of a trek for me. Luckily some Scottish ODSTs picked me up on the way down. I'm glad to say that the HPA M7S performed flawlessly. I really enjoyed using it. It's so damn quiet with the suppressor. It was quite handy when I was playing as the Flood given I could easily one hand it to swing around wildly. The torch was pretty handy in the Flood infection night game (rather inspired and hair raising by the way, very fun). (Credit, Bipocalypse) (Credit: Bipocalypse) (Credit: Bipocalypse) Spartan Jess' episode 1 https://youtu.be/l1x2rKwVcvM?si=2vf9XkYxjTZ1Y2W2 If anybody's interested in attending next year, I can shoot you an invite to the discord. We actually had a lack of people willing to play URF (rebels) with minimal Halo gear which was surprising. Credit: SpartanJess I did finish the Reach backpack in time. Unfortunately in my sleep deprived rush, I managed to spill superglue on the cordura lid. I've yet to take decent photos, so I'll save that for another post. I've since started two new projects. Both very much WIP. One for later when it's fiscally feasible, a support weapon / emplacement for next year's event. Halo 2's M247 mounted machinegun. It'll require an order of steel and a lot of filament. It's 1.55m long, using a V3 gearbox and 15mm steel box section spine similarly to the BR55. I would use an M249 gearbox, but they're 3x the price and not very readily available. I'll build a tripod for it also. I've shelved that for now after making a start in favour of a project I can do right now. The MA5B. Powered by HPA, using basically any engine with a universal plugboard. Right now that's the Scalar engines and the Polarstar F2, maybe the Jack as far as I know. I am looking into the very real possibility of making a version that uses the P90 V6 gearbox eventually. The stock would have to be extended (easily done), the magazine would need to be different (smaller), and the gearbox would need a different cylinder head, nozzle and custom 3D printed tappet plate. I will be looking to sell the files to this as a sort of trial to see whether I run into issues with people being untrustworthy, and determine if I want to sell files in the future. I've designed it so it can be printed on standard sized printers and I'll be using steel rods only with no drilling of metal required. It will be using the tachyon round counter, and I'll make provision for either a custom torch to be used or a tactical one ( Fenix PD35 for example). Short-ish update today. 'Til the next post.1 point -

Not so much just bought, but certainly new in the last month. This has more or less instantly become my favourite RIF. Stock apart from a Waldo Dynamics hop arm. Was a bit of a basket case when I got it, the manufacturer had managed to glue the hop adjuster shut in their attempt to thread lock it into the upper. After removing all of that I fitted the Waldo arm and a 4UAD bucking, but got terrible nozzle sticking so swapped back to the original bucking. Despite that it shoots great. At my local CQB site I can easily one shot all of the Attack Sense targets dotted around the arena.1 point -

Genuine Magpul CTR vs clones
TheFull9 reacted to JimFromHorsham for a topic
Using the word clone against the real one would be ok if all the clones were the same , made in the same place and made under the same QC , but they are not , you can buy 4 different clones under different names from 4 different places and they would all be different , buy the same clone under the same name 3months later at itโll be different again . where as you can buy 4 genuine Magpul products from 4 different places and they would all the same . you might get a good clone out of the 4 or you might get 4 shit ones . IME the genuine CTR requires no shimming for an OEM TM tube unless you want it pretty much like a fixed stock .1 point -

Having a morning playing around with toys. 1st purchased a couple of weeks ago, WE Apache MP5K. Lovely gun, spotless condition came with 5 mags to give me enough to field a whole game (with the other 3 I already have). Local site have opened an indoor CQB and I think this is the coolest way to play the game. I have added an e-shooter tracer unit for the full laser beam effect 2nd Completed the DMR upgrade to the LCT G3, maple leaf 6.02 510mm stainless barrel, 4uantum hop rubber and nub and m130 spring. Shooting 1.88J on .36 BBโs like a laser. Had the selector modified to only shoot semi. After a couple of games it decided to shoot only full auto? Modified the trigger contacts as it was arcing giving the full auto then it decided not to fire at all. Now fitted a e shooter mosfet to solve those problems and now itโs shooting very well with a very short trigger pull. Modernised with the LCT m lok handguard and an unknown fore grip from the box of parts, trying to make this monster easier to handle, might look at adding a small bipod to the front but not convinced it will get used and just add weight? Any thoughts? 3rd WE Apache MP5, modernised with a Cyma m lok handguard to keep it looking like the G3. Had to modify it with a hacksaw to make it fit, like the look and it gives me options for torches and tracers for CQB or fore grips for woodland.1 point

FWIW modern bio BBs are made of PLA and coated in wax. The ones you shoot will still be there centuries later. Since they don't really biodegrade they're pretty much the same as non bios.1 point -

Up for sale is my lightly used TM MWS set up as an FBI HRT clone rifle. itโs only seen half a days worth of use with very little wear, just the usual wear on the lower receiver from the charging handle (shown in the pictures). There are also very small superficial marks here and there from use but is in excellent condition as itโs barely had any use. External: TM MWS Zparts MK4 handguard OD Zparts 11.5 inch steel outer barrel Angry Gun SF FH Angry Gun sling plate Magpul CTR in OD Repro B5 pistol grip OD Steel dust cover Holy warrior T2 Spuhr HRT marked clone mount internal: Jeager Precision hop nub 1 gas right TM MWS mag included and the standard bolt - no Npas so itโs temperature dependant. This cost quite a bit to put together so please bare that in mind. This can be split, however it depends on how you want to split it. Any questions drop me a DM550.00 GBP
