  6. My friend if you can have a day like that but still roll with the punches and be happy at the end of it then you’re truly an airsofter, many I know would moan like stink at all that but the idea is to not take it too seriously and just enjoy the day, which it sounds like you did. I’m also at that age where recovery is a three dayer if I’m lucky but boy o boy it’s always worth it. One of the more humorous things I do is watch the young sprint about on a game day and see if I can recall what it was like to have that energy, no luck so far, it was too long ago 😂

  7. I know there are other threads, but I fear replying to those will not have the impact or visability to those who can make the changes. The classified section has been absolutely destroyed over the past few weeks and months of changes. I know it is all done in the interest of improvement but the unintended consequences are extremely frustrating. 1. Renewing adverts is currently impossible. Both for the For Sale and Wanted categories. 2. I personally really like the previous ribbons of new, expiring soon and random adverts. With a good number in each category to scroll through. 3. Showing completed adverts without knowing they are completed steals my joy from me. The heartache is real. Can we remove completed ads from the ribbons? Or at least show them as completed? Many years ago I was "the guy" behind 2 forums. I know they are a pain in the backside and for anybody doing the background work, I appreciate your own pain and frustrations, and thank you for your continued work.

  8. I agree totally mate. I don't trust a central database with all my private information. So many have been hacked already. The immortal quote "if you've done nothing wrong, you have nothing to hide" doesn't convince me either.

  9. I'm not keen on politics in our hobby (usually goes wrong at some point IMO), I don't see any need for one or any need to object either, personally I have an NI number, a driving license, a passport, an employee number, an army number, bank accounts, credit cards, several online numbers, phone numbers, email addresses, google details, a council tax number, a car registration, a birth certificate, a marriage certificate, a marriage disolution, a college student number, a pension number(3), many more & a UKARA. I believe it's been tried many times & it's already illegal to employ anyone without a right to work in the UK.

The barman says "no" The duck says "have you got any bread? The duck says again "have you got any bread?" The barman angrily replies "look mate I told you we haven't got any bread, and if you ask me again I'm gonna nail your beak to the bar" The duck says have you got any nails?" The barman says "no" The duck says, "have you got any bread?"

  12. Took my son and 3 of his mates to outpost Chester again today, and I finally realised how rubbish I am... At 50, jumping and crawling around in the dirt always leaves me sore for days, but it's worth it. I might have a ton of Airsoft guns now, (most thru the classifiied section, cheers guys) but I really need to concentrate on my skills. All the gear, no idea... 😆 Kept getting sniped from people who I couldn't even see. Got shot several times in the back of the head after declaring a hit and with my hand in the air. It was busy tho, and the two teams were massive. Everyone was very friendly and happy to offer advice and show me their toys. I did manage a few kills, most of them were on the opposite team. but I did accidentally shoot my son a couple of times, but maybe he deserved it.. The new proflex mask and the exfog unit are working well, definitely worth the investment. All my rifs performed well, but the AK definitely needs a bit more oomph, I will look into adding a fuse and a bigger voltage battery as it's rate of fire is significantly less than my other RIFs. We have tried a few of the disposable grenades now, the ball ones with bbs inside arent great as most were still inside the split body on the ground. The smoke ones are fun, and I like the thunder flashes a lot. It was great fun, and we all enjoyed it. Can't wait to go back again.

  13. If it helps at all; trying to shoot the No1 in the standing unsupported like that is very much on the harder end of the shooting difficulty scale. Looks like the range wasn't that long but the target was a tiny little round plate? Pretty tricky. World War era bolt-actions are long with all the weight out the front by comparison to modern military carbines and the open/notch sights on that variant are, imho, far worse and harder to use than the aperture on a No4 (or indeed most guns that came later) - which you probably realised by comparison to the .22. Obviously it's only a short clip so I don't know, but if you spent the whole 70 seconds up in the aim, you'll have gotten less steady as time went on, you're only human there's no beating that. That's a standard issue that people run in to when learning and is worst in the standing position. You can get away with it for longer as your stance gets lower, but even then it's usually better to relax and only spend as long aiming as is necessary to get your ducks in a row before firing. Not massively transferable to airsoft of course, but peeps who can shoot usually at least manage to look a bit better in candid site photog pics I find.

  14. Not partcually an airsoft day, per say - but we went with our site and it was my first live-fire day. I have to say, comparing a .22 AR to a BOLT recoil [even in terms of reliability lol] was a good giggle, but holy shit actual shooting is so much harder than I thought. It's probably due to me being blind as shit (+6.5 in my left eye, etc) but wow, really humbling. Was a good laugh. Here's me missing the target by over two-feet with a SMLE, despite seventy seconds of trying to stablise (how the fuck 16 year olds did this in the trenches, I have no idea): 8mb.video-617-gnBfBPVi.mp4

  15. Bit of a change tonight. Me and a friend decided to work around job commitments and played an evening game at district 23 indoor Airsoft. Definitely out of our comfort zone as outdoor players it was still a fun change of pace and a good game. Attendance wasn't massive but enough to give some tense team death match game modes. As the only people with our own kit we were used to balance the rental teams though it wasn't strictly necessary as apart from one glaring exception everyone played well and took their hits. Sadly one opponent decided taking a double tap to the leg meant you had to turn round as fast as possible and hose me in the bloody hand. Fingerless gloves will definitely be retired after that. A couple of shots to the knee served as shoe decent Pavlovian response training for the man responsible at least. Highlight of the evening was the "rogue" game mode. Me and Billy had to don high Vis vests and act as sanctioned murder hobos against both teams. If we were shot and could be reached in ten seconds we recruited to help that player until we were taken out again. This eventually turned into us stalking the top floors of the arena and sowing chaos. My red dot sight needs re zeroing as what I though were chest shots were too often hitting groins!

  17. I don't often do shout outs, but this one is for Novritsch's online store. I order some parts for my SSG96 on Monday (spare mags and a bipod mount) and received them today. Pretty quick since they came from Europe. They even threw in a few stickers and a small moral patch Nice.

  21. The best single use pyro (IMO) are the FBS ones that are tubes, much like that EG smoke grenade. They're easy to put into (almost) any pouch compared to the Mk5 (length) and EG67 balls (size/shape). You can get 'thermobaric' types that are designed to give off a bright flash and a fair bit of smoke. They're my go to pyro with the Mk5s in second place. I've found the best place for the ball type grenades are indoors as they're easier to throw accurately and you can, somewhat, roll them across floors.

  22. If it has the stock motor, fit an SHS high torque one; that will push the RoF up. If your budget runs to it, try a brushless motor. An 11.1V AK battery will have a significant impact on RoF; Nuprol have a 1200mAh one that will fit your gun: https://www.landwarriorairsoft.com/product/nuprol-111v-1200mah-20c-li-po-slim-stick-battery-deans-connector-12718?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22849104859&gbraid=0AAAABAv5_tNoHD3EbCjbAxPz0FfwqjBh9&gclid=CjwKCAjw_fnFBhB0EiwAH_MfZoqTL505L2CNBOLILL824052vhd62Zh_U4pL-nnd7RKftHfGbJAGhxoCYDgQAvD_BwE Don't bother with a fuse; it really isn't necessary. If you want to get rid of the mechanical trigger contacts, fit a Perun V3 hybrid, which will give you all sorts of options to set up your gun as you want it: https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/perun-v3-hybrid I would also replace the hob rubber and nub with this: https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/internal-parts/hop-up-buckings-nubs/maple-leaf-macaron-60-nub Other rubbers and nubs are available.

  25. Excellent! We need more "mature" chaps in airsoft! Adding a fuse will not improve RoF; if anything, it will decrease it.

    Novritsch Online

I've never had any issues with the EU Novritsch store. Granted, I haven't bought any RIFs from them as they aren't for me, but every time I've ordered something from here it has arrived with no issues and usually within the week.

  27. A bit late to the pary, but Lonex flash mags are your best bet. I recently replaced the ones i bought in 2016, they're still working after almost 10 years of absolute neglect (leaving them with springs compressed for weeks, they're rusty to all fuck) but never skipped a beat. 360 round capacity per mag, so two mags will be plenty. Battle rattle is a thing only if doing gymnastics while playing, otherwise they will only rattle if almost completely empty, and only if you REALLY shake the gun. I pick metal mags over plastic because they're thinner and fit all the pouches, whereas polymers are thicker and ribbed (for your pleasure) and for example don't fit my genuine mayflower gen 4.
