  1. https://www.usedairsoft.co.uk/air-guns/air-rifles_1/bolster-armouries-aegis-advanced-m4-aeg_i78585 1) Seller watched a YouTube video and thought spending more money ensures you get the best gun 2) Seller gets fed up after blowing £1500 on a custom RIF built to his spec and putting 5,000 BBs through it 3) Seller tries to sell his custom gun for £1200, thinking he's doing us a favour when: He's only reselling the gun minus VAT He had the gun built to his specifications so unless he finds that unlikely buyer who wants exactly what he has or something really close to his build, it's not even close to worth that/ 4) Seller gets ridiculed on a WhatsApp sales group and doesn't understand only putting 5,000 rounds through his gun doesn't mean it preserves the value he thinks. TLDR: Another Bolster Armouries special doesn't meeting the seller's expectations on trying to resell it

  5. Lovely little piece. I'm on a 24hr event this weekend starting this afternoon. I'm not using mine as I want to keep the weight down - the luxury of a second sidearm is just that fir this game. I plan on opening up mine for a clean & I'll update my review with some internal pictures. Hows the accuracy with the super short barrel? I've been really impressed the hop. Can't wait to see what the 6.5 inch is like!

  6. so, i have been neglecting to post updates for the past few months, so i will blast them all in one post.... i bought a laylax thread adapter to fit on my KWA beretta M93r from firesupport. (thank you @strykerles for the link). only downside is the threads are 14mm clockwise, and tracers are 14mm counter clockwise threads, but i was able to make an acetech fit through brute force XD then i bought the Umarex walther PPK and 2 spare mags from landwarrior and a Crusader silencer form airsoftworld to go with it along with it. currently trying to figure out a way to mount a tracer in the silencer without the inner barrel poking through and preventing tracer working (and without taking a hacksaw to it so i can use it without tracer at a later date if i choose) had to buy a new gun at AI500 in Flambards after i took a tumble and managed to snap my KWA Skorpion in two... so i bought the KWA Mac11 with spare mags... and it was the only gun i had with me at the event that didnt malfunction constantly.=/ i also bought a G&G ESG10 from my local surplus shop (who also sells some airsoft gear) for use at AI500, expecting more close quarters battles than i actually encountered, so it didnt get a lot of use.. plus i found the mag release is way too sensitive. whenever i had it slung on my back as a backup, it would constantly drop the mag, so it was mostly left at respawn to be used as needed, but i ended up just running the mac 11 all weekend after getting home from AI500, i bought a new reciever for the Skorpion from BZtactical, and have swapped the internals from the broken Skorpion, but now it needs fettling as i cant get the trigger to reset, and the valve knocker is sticky, so it wont fire at the moment =/ a shame, as i loved the little Skorp... evil little beastie deciding i wanted to display my guns, and consign many of the boxes to the loft, i bought a bunch of hookwall panels, brackets and hooks, which my brother and i mounted on the wall in my living room over the bank holiday weekend. need to order some different sized hooks and get another wall mount brracket as somehow had one missed out of my order, but they have been helpful when i contacted them. all bought from unishop.co.uk finally, i bought a WE Apache A5 from onlyairsoft along with a claw mount and 6 spare mags. to complete it, i bough a cheap red dot scope from Amazon and then a collapsible stock from KYairsoft which arrived today. hoping to run this tomorrow for the first time no pics at the moment as i cannot crop them down to meet the forum file size limits, and fed up of hosting the images from discord, only for them to stop working after a couple of days...

  8. More open top viper mag pouches to go on my belt as I was sweating buckets under my chest rig last week. 2x 1100 mah 11.1v batteries and a 1 point sling as I am taking a mate to airsoft for the first time tomorrow so need to be able to field both guns at the same time instead of choosing between them.

Exactly why I wouldn't mind picking one up at some point as i've got plenty of WE M4 mags and they're supposed to be compatible with the L85. Won't be any time soon unless a good deal pops up. Already got a Scar-H with a Kythera in it. I used to have a Scar-L AEG but sold it.

I don't know how others feel about it but I don't like how it looks. I think the only other addition i'd consider making is a GBB L85A2.

  15. I've had a bit of good luck in finding RIFs I want at a real discount. In addition to the L22 Carbine I managed to snap up a couple of days ago (see further up) I also found a guys ICS L86A2 LSW on an absolute steal. He says the FPS is low so it could be a quick service job but performance overall is pretty poor as it has no ETU and all internals are stock.

  16. Hi guys, been a while since I've been around these parts... A combination of being skint through trying out a lower-paid job (in a much better one now thankfully), knackered knees and ankles, and worst of all a bad case of tinnitus caused by a grenade going off right next to me in a very confined doorway in the last game i played... meant I've not played for months. Luckily the tinnitus has eased off back to where it used to be, so as long a as i wear ear-pro i will try again. Anyway, glad to see the thread is being useful still! My beloved m906c has also decided to do something bad to the Falcon ETU again. I think the damned things are very heat sensitive, so a poorly shimmed gearbox or a badly adjusted motor, or just a lot of single shot spamming can cause it to fail. So these updates are good info ? My alternative thought is to go for one of those drop in hpa engines ... I'll wait until someone beats me to it so i can crib from their experience ?

  18. No hastle from JD Airsoft with the issue with mine. Sent me labels to return and options for replacement. I opted to go for the 2" model I wouldn't hesitate to buy one of these despite the issue mine had. A friend on another forum with repair experience has opened one up and is adamant that the internals are top notch. If I were to get another problem I think it would be easily fixable.

  23. As others have posted, AEPs are generally a bit shit and not really worth it unless you just want filler for a holster, which at that point you might as well get a cheap springer. With many you'll have better range and accuracy throwing the pistol. Unless you're playing cqb or using a higher power gun with a MED then pistols aren't that useful and will spend 99% of the time in the holster. An extra mag or two for your primary would be more useful and not take up more space. If your situation is really that bad then stop looking at buying anything. Sure buying a new toy will give you that short term happiness from the dopamine hit, but it won't last and you'll be back where you started, just £60 worse off. Of core this comes with a massive dose of do as I say, not as I do.

  24. I'll ask this one then. 1st off why do you want a pistol? Sure rule of cool, and they are a lot of fun to use but why? Cheaping out: most of us have been there, the want is strong, but again, £60 odd is a couple of game days rather than having to save again. Don't let the money wear a hole in your pocket. I picked up a 2nd hand we f226, it's a blast and some days that is all I take to a game day (not wholly true, but it's what works when I get there). It cost £120 and came with extra mags. So my advice would be put the £60 in a coffee can and get a decent gbb pistol.

  28. I always take that claim with a pinch of salt regardless of who makes it. Just because the seller didn't fire it, that doesn't mean a QA technician in the factory, distributor, retailer, prospective customer in the shop, etc, didn't fire it to make sure the gun worked, do a test fire to see if they liked it or to see it was within legal limits for example. I assume it had been fired a few times before at some point between being manufactured and landing in the hands of the seller. At least 3 of my guns have test fire cards/sheets in the box so I know the "never fired" claim is untrue anyway.

  32. @Roryhas granted me the shoe in to think ‘outside the box’ The key thing is of course to have a safe environment, not break the law (proximity to footpaths and roads) and not annoy neighbours If you want a fairly simple target then setup some simple targets to hit, add something ‘reactive’ such as metal that will pint (as per Rory’s can lid) or a soft thing such as paper that will show your hits A novel option (which can work for airguns but may not work properly for airsoft) is to put paintballs on golf tees For an airgun a good centre hit will burst the paintball, a glancing blow or whizz past might knock or blow it off For airsoft I suspect a BB at any decent range may just knock down a paintball unless you had a good fresh tournament grade paintball But that does give a small target to try out your accuracy & your RIFs consistency If you’re a student or road worker then put some cones out However - be aware that hits will bounce away in various directions, so limited in where it would be suitable for garden targets Cones are great for an easily relocatable but solid target of varying size (not just that cones come in all sizes but you can aim for an easy shot at the lower wider bottom of the cone and work up to the slimmer top of the cone. You can also pop a can on top or a stick through the cone holding up another target If you have a few cones then space them around at various distances and practice switching target Remember again that if you’re switching target then your hard backstop needs to cover the wider range of potential misses

  33. I like a wee garage pop when time allows. I get a robust cardboard box from the local supermarket and hang a bean tin lid from an old bit of wire. Can sometimes be a pain to maintain it "face on" if you use string but cheap and effective

  37. Sunday was spent at Finmere, which happened to the the first site I ever played at, at the site's first ever airsoft games, donkeys years ago when I was a spotty teenager. Games only run monthly so I've been waiting for the a pass from the wife on a game weekend to go. Turns out one of the other OG's is now running the place - we recognised each other - he's clearly super passionate about it ... and it certainly shows! Safe to say the place is expertly run with plenty of marshals who are in constant communication, and is attended by a decent bunch of very honest players. There were 1-2 bulletproof betties as there always are but they're very much the exception not the rule. It's a pretty big site but the game design on the day - basically a big control point affair - was such that you could get into a scrap without too much walking about. They used a 2 armband medic rule where players waiting to be medic'd can talk and call out intel to teammates which actually works surprisingly well and means your epic last stand against overwhelming odds gets an audience. I had a fantastic firefight holding off a village area with a couple of teammates against what felt like half the enemy team, it was a great 360 affair with them flanking us on all sides, a well timed pyro had a bunch of them waiting to be medic'd and calling out our positions so we had to keep shifting about, and eventually we got picked off and ran out of medic armbands. Lots of "good shot mate" and "ohh lucky there' from the half dead spectators on both sides. It was proper fun. Downsides... the terrain is a bit basic & everyone is limited semi auto only (pathetic!) but safe to say I'll be joining what looks like a large band of regulars down there whenever I get a free pass for a sunday & recommend anyone who can make it go check it out
