I'm liking the KS1! Though I can't justify another Ar15 varient to be honest. My money is waiting for the new range of Cyma Platinum AKs (mercifully coinciding with the new tax year....). Decent gearbox internals, and their historic achilles heel-the infamous cyma mosfet has been rectified with an EShooter device. Thanks for that link Mik3F. Like it says in the vid AAP seems to ship with hop turned off. Adjusted it as described and now it’s snappy as hell. Thanks mate!

Try setting the hop for that, Ive seen that before and adjusting the hop sorted it

Bought a rather beat up g19 off the forums here last week. a little bit of cerakote and I’m really pleased! it’s still a WIP - the lower was borrowed off another g19 for photos. I have a new steel internal frame coming to replace the old tired OEM frame. What’s left of my Savia PCC45 🤣 MWS AR that takes hicapa mags. I’ve become a fan of the SLR furniture!

The original AAP mags do have weaker springs in comparison to, say, WE (coincidentally I was loading examples from each manufacturer this afternoon ready for tomorrow's game and it is noticeable). But I'd agree with the above - something not right with the feed lips. If you have ruled out the bb follower catching/rubbing in the channel, then probably worth taking off the lips and giving them a gentle sand where the bbs feed through...

I'd say that there's something wrong with the feed lips, the BB can't into them, rather than a spring problem.

Not if it's taken 1 hit but I do replace them every couple of years or so as polycarbonate can degrade over time Fair enough, my point was about buying second hand

That is sad; it seems to be going downhill.

Pb masks always seemed a bit bulky for my liking, Even the low profile designs. I'd always recommend a glasses/goggles and mesh mask combo. I like using the small profile one Tigris masks as the majority of generic china made mesh masks over shoot your chin by a mile, which pushes the mask up into your eye pro when you look down. The other issue I've found with all these masks is they are not a great shape. Face wise and the eye pro contour so they do need tweaking. Finally I would say if you can attach the mask to the eye pro if you can. This has a couple of benefits. It stops the gap between the mask and eye pro and there's less straps to deal with around your head. As for eye pro that's a very much down to what works for you. Yup, what they said. My AAP-01C's magazine feeds fine (and it will eat Action Army and WE mags). Get in there with a file or some rolled up sandpaper.

I dunno... bit of a vanilla, run-of-the-mill, pedestrian looking setup there tbh, you'll find most other people at your next game running the exact same kinda gun I'm afraid.

Mine was brand new and sealed and came via an airsoft shop that sells on eBay

I'd be careful buying PPE from ebay. Unless it comes in the original packaging and unopened you won't know its history and whether it's taken a hit and is damaged

With the clone wars stronger than ever I thought it might be an idea to have a thread based on how to spot what’s real and what’s not , to be clear this is not a clone bashing thread , but simply a way to hopefully help you get what is advertised , be it parts , optics , lasers/torches or maybe even RIF’s themselves . just because it says Aimpoint/Eotech/Magpul/Surefire doesn’t mean it is , even the packaging is being cloned to a high standard so don’t get get duped . I’ll start with a simple Magpul CTR stock in FDE , there will be better clones than others and I’ve picked a “Tak Tak” variant which retails at around £15-£20 in the UK VS a Gebuine CTR which retails around £75-£80 , the clone Says Magpul on it so in passing looks legit , the biggest tell is usually going to be the colour but as we know everyone’s photos and lighting looks a bit different and if you have nothing genuine to compare to when it arrives you are just taking the sellers word . heres a few comparisons , and highlighted differences between the two which should be easy to spot , Genuine is CTR is either Top or to the Left . main points to note - Genuine will have black tabs where the stock pad locates NOT TAN Genuine will have a molding mark on the underside , oval shaped . Genuine stock pad will have an “F” in the lower right hand side “pocket” Text spacing , the Genuine will be bolder and spaced correctly Length , generally the Clones will be a touch longer . Extra Text , the genuine will have extra text in the lower frame , plus batch / manufacturing numbers just above the locking lever . Hope this helps , as time permits I will add more comparisons .

So managed to obtain an old CAW HK69. Was all painted and original sights were floppy. So added real front and rear sight. Removed to paint and weathered the metal.
