Baz JJ
Yes absolutely. One of my airsoft mates was laughing and suggesting that I was blind firing around a corner at the last game. In reality, I was firing round a corner and directing through a gap in the wooden barrier using tracer like white BBs. All is fair in love and war. As I think I said somewhere else on the forum, I only engage if I think I have a chance of winning lol

Supporters Ian_Gere Posted September 8, 2013 Supporters Share Posted September 8, 2013 Hmmmmmmmm, Baz. I'd like to see how well somebody could keep a RS assault rifle on target for the actual shot/s before I form my complete opinion of those sights, but my instinct is that they're way outside the spirit of the sport... Baz JJ
yes well I have it on my UMP mainly for seeing round corners in CQB type applications. I don't use it in conjunction with magnifiers or electronic sighting. Snipers have been using periscopes for years.
Supporters M_P Posted September 8, 2013 Supporters Share Posted September 8, 2013 To be honest I'd say its as bad as blind firing, at the very least they aren't very sporting. Imagine how dull it would be if everyone used them. Ian_Gere
Sam_G
Serpa turned up today. I assumed that it was a real one as it was advertised as a blackhawk serpa drop leg panel. Its not a real one!! Bit disappointed but it still does the job. spent the last hour chopping and changing the rig/belt kit around to get it ready for thursdays evening game. Gone all green. looks better than i thought it would!

Sam_G
It seems that WAS OD shingles are like buses! I wait ages to find some and then loads come along at the same time. So i bought more! I now have 12! also 8 normal ones and 4 short ones. Also picked up a WAS OD dropleg panel and WAS OD utility pouch. So much OD kit i think i'm gonna look like a tactical peter pan! Guest PT247
Had to replace my red dot sight as it took a hit to the lens and smashed it. Went for the same Swiss Arms sight as I had before. Have now got a lens guard to protect it and a decent quick release sling that works as 2 point or single point. Also purchased an angled foregrip too :-)

Supporters Ian_Gere Posted September 12, 2013 Supporters Share Posted September 12, 2013 Bloody trigger keeps popping out every chance it gets. Same with the anti reversal latch. Ah yeah, that usually pisses me off too. I put the box together without the trigger, which allows me to keep the anti-reversal latch in place enough that i can use something like a bent paper clip or a thin sliver of steel which I have made into a specialised tool for really awkward gearboxes, to poke it into the right hand half of the shell. Once it's all together, I prise it open just enough to get first the left side, then the right of the trigger mech in there - bit more poking and everything goes in the holes properly eventually. You just have to make sure you hold the halves together tightly so nothing slips any further than can be helped. That is for V3 gearboxes anyway. Dunno about others much, except the M14 box looks a doddle to reassemble.

Unrustle_Thine_Jimmies
Tried on multiple pairs of German Paras,my deformed fcuking feet hated them. So I got some dirt cheap Brit Pro boots, broken in after a tour in Afghanistan. Super comfortable for me and the quality looks really good. Jammed some Sorbothane insoles into them to absorb shock and going to roughen up the soles a bit for more grip. Should serve for quite a while.
