Had a lovely omega sea master , got it back in 1997 for my 21st. However my delightful ex wife gave it to the bloke she was shagging whilst i was out in Afghanistan back in 09. Gutted as was gift from my grandparents and they died not long before i deployed.
Hope to get another but prices have shot up dramatically since i got that one

My wife surprised me with this on my 30th. The only times it comes off my wrist is bed, bath and game day

In return, she’s got a little Longine now.

Sometimes, the Bond theme plays in my head when I check my wrist

Edit- bloody cat has torn up the rug again. That’s bit of rug all over the carpet...

Nah I think it's rabbit droppings. Do you let a rabbit run loose over the house?

😉👍

The Sea Dweller is a fcuking heavy monster (the genuine item)

I got rid of mine and replaced it with a GMT II Batman back in 2015

Probably the best decision and investment I ever made.

Which one? The 16610 is fine, the Deep Sea Seadweller is just silly, the SD43 is actually a nice, big watch

I haven't worn a shackle to time in nearly 34 years.

IMHO watches are responsible for most accidents in modern life. I don't have the time to explain it either, you'll just have to spend some time pondering about it and maybe in time, the answer will come to you.

I love the idea of having something really nice for my wrist but couldn't really justify it. Especially as I work in construction, rock climb and airsoft. I'm not prepared to drop searios pew money on something to wear around the house ☹️

As it stands, I have this G-Shock. It takes a battering and has a step counter.

Didn't realise there was this thread!

I'm a watchmaker for one of the big Swiss companies 😎

And when I'm not servicing those I restore 1970's Seiko chronographs

Ahhhh cool thread I hadn't spotted before either!

Loving those Seiko chronos, I've had a soft spot for all things Seiko for many years, I quite often wear my dad's SQ 4004 Quartz that he bought aboard the SS Canberra back in the late 70's.
I've got a SARB035 which is a lovely thing, but desperately needs to get regulated.  It was about 30 seconds off a day, I decided to 'improve' it, and naturally enough it now runs at 5 minutes off a day 🤣
I'm sure I could actually sort it with some more trial-and-error, but in the absence of a time-grapher, I'll just get the jewellers to sort it for me, some day.

I'm not wearing many of my collection these days.  I sprung for a Tudor Black Bay Pro recently

which is a cracking watch.   But no sooner had I bought that than I got "The Call" from the Rolex dealer (after a year and a half on the waiting list!), and a few weeks ago I picked up my grail watch... Oyster Perpetual with blue dial.

Wearing it every day, it's not an investment piece.   I absolutely adore it, it's just so beautifully finished, and perfectly proportioned.

Download the Kello app, for non-pro use it’s perfectly good enough, I use it on all mine 👍🏻
