    THE TM MWS thread

That’s great thanks. I did try and search but couldn’t directly find anything. Hoping to use the 10.3’’ barrel to match the RS version, but only seem to find MK16 versions at the mo.
  2. @Tommikka very informative post Airsoft Olympics vs Airsoft I would argue airsoft does not have to lose anything, because the format and ruleset for Airsoft Olympics will necessarily be something new, it is yet to be invented, but of course those international tournaments will be good references. Airsoft vs Paintball Airsoft has advantages over paintball being a less messy and arguably more scalable and accessible, and with an improved ruleset (including mandating a certain player to ref ratio, for example, to minimize cheating) I think airsoft has a better potential than paintball at growing. Delta Force had a valid vision but wrongly executed. UKPSF is perhaps halfway there, airsoft just need to surpass it. PR Department Yes health benefits + social media campaign is a good idea. We need to make some social media accounts and start posting positive stuff. Perhaps we need a mascot.
  3. Hello & welcome. Never converted anything but I bet if you started a thread detailing what you're up to it'd be followed with interest.
  4. It's a difficult one, changes in society haven't helped. For example, 40 years ago every youngster & his mates chased each other around with realistic looking toys & no one on the street gave them a second look, the miltary was treble it's size, & there was literally a waiting list of people wanting to join up, in London almost every borough had a ta Hall, cadet units representing all 3 services (+ plus the marines), surplus stores aplenty, & very little gun crime, essentially lots of things to nurture interests in shooting pastimes & there was no stigma applied to anyone remotely interested in anything "gun shaped". Fast forward, sprogs in nurseries & primary schools are forbidden from even fashioning a pistol from lego, the army is tiny & can't fill it's ranks, a massive proportion of the ta & cadet units have disappeared, a small number of terrible gun sprees have massively impacted all forms of gun ownership, coupled with commonplace gun crime. All of this has changed UK societies mindset on guns & associated pastimes. Needless to say those of us that are hooked have an uphill battle to encourage others to consider joining our ranks, or even turning out once for a "taster" 🤔

Got this second hand a while ago and used it as my first attempt at upgrading a rifle originally built it into a dmr and it shot beautifully but sounded quite loud and a little grindy. I Took it apart and put it back together a few times with different shimming but couldn't get rid of it entirely. Because of that its been gathering dust and hasnt been fired very much at all. I did take it apart again to put in a softer spring and reinstall the selector plate but other than that it hasnt been touched recently Here is what I put in it Zci 6.02 stainless barrel maple leaf rubber zci 1 piece stainless cylinder and cylinder head shs 15 tooth piston and piston head zci v2 high torque motor long type Zci rotary hop unit (The bottom of it has been heavily modified to fit but I havent had any feeding issues since completing the modifications. ) Zci alminium 21.3 nozzle zci advanced internal bearing 13-1 gear set zci tappet plate Gate warfet Has also had a classic army clubfoot stock put on it When I took it apart to put back in the full auto parts I saw no major damage to anything but test firing it after it did still sound noisy though it still shoots great. Comes with 10 king arms plastic midcaps, 1x jg metal high cap 1x tokyo marui psg 1 magazine (I know I have a second somewhere. Ill find it before posting) and a spare front sight assembly as the original has been cut off and rounded over to mimic the psg 1 Price includes paypal fees and postage Would be interested in part trading for a tm gbb akm but otherwise not interested in trades

  6. General rule of thumb - anything Novi branded is just repackaged direct from a chinese factory with a premium for his label on the box. Same as most "genuine" car parts.

  8. Start with a basic action camera, then learn what works for you. GoPro carries the name, and does have the right features and specs which come with the price to go with them Alternative action cameras are up to the job - all in recent years exceed the ‘quality’ of anything you would be showing them at - YouTube etc Old YouTube footage from 15 to 10 years ago which looks like it was filmed with a potato gets highlighted with much nostalgia value and You are dependant on the sensor and chip set. If you’re going in and out of buildings then the ‘better’ cameras will cope better with the change in light conditions - but anything current should cope in a reasonable time frame Most important is what you want to do with footage. Are you making a full film of all your awesome actions, telling the story of your day? Are you making a click bait kill cam video? Are you making training feedback footage to review what happened? Or do you just want to film some stuff and see what you get? The ‘best’ footage is of multiple angles - but means lots more editing. eg barrel cam - which mostly shows the ground and air, but gives shooting footage Reverse barrel cam - films you Sight cam - which gives zoomed in ground and air Head cam - which shows where you were looking, but can make people sick when you keep looking left, right etc, and will also show the tree or brick wall that you were hiding behind Body cam - similar to head cam without the left/right twitching but more bouncy (check the stablisation specs) Back cam - Strap a pole to your vest and mount a camera that films a 3rd person view Combine a few of those and you can edit a story - for the extra cost of multiple cameras and mounts plus edit time Alternatively forget all of those, get a generic action camera with case and an assortment of mounts. Try it in different positions and see what you get Note that a scope camera is ‘better’ when accompanied by another camera giving a wider view
  9. That was something I was curious about, if that email address actually worked. There's a bunch of 8fields stuff on TG and a load of midcaps for various guns I have that would be nice to get at some point, but I never put much stock in the whole "email patrol base to get it in for you" after I did the same for a bunch of m700 parts from airsoftzone.com (who also name Patrol Base as a UK retailer who can get stuff from them) and Patrol Base told me "no we can't order anything in, sorry."

Tokyo Marui MK18 NGRS - Fully Upgraded to the max. This thing is an absolute beast and has served me extremely well. It's fully upgraded, to the point you couldn't physically do anything more to it. All upgrades were done by the incredible Graham at Tactical Geordies so I've got plenty of photos and videos of all work that has been done to it. When I bought it, it was in a bit of a sorry state internally thanks to an old tech but I can hands down say it's a completely different rif now thanks to the magic Graham did on it. You can freely look at the photos and videos he has available of it on his Facebook & Instagram pages. It's very accurate and punches bb's out to 70 Meters. You'd be in the realms of competing against snipers and I've picked off a fair few using it. Now I always swore that I'd never sell it (my mates would even give me stick for putting it up for sale), but I've since bought a Mk18 MWS so this has now gone to the cupboard and stayed there. I've got an MP5 NGRS for when I want to switch out to AEG. I've put a photo up of how I've had it set up in the past, please note it'll come without attachments as these have now ended up on my other MK18 however this should give you an idea of how it can look. Will not come with Case but it's the only photo I had where the mags are ok show too. There are some scuffs on it, it's been used so it's expected and although I try to be careful.. it's Airsoft so it's sure to happen. I've pictured the scuffs, scratches etc. I don't have a box for it but I may have something I could send it in should you want it delivered, it's survived all the trips hundreds of miles it's been sent back and fourth to the tech so I'd have faith it'll survive on its way to you. Or come and collect it, up to you. It's not seen a game since the Leviathan was installed but when you plug it in, it'll say it's fired over 1000 shots, this is due to the Tech fully stress testing the rif to make sure it's running perfectly smooth. It saw one game with the Brushless motor fitted but the gate titan that was previously installed didn't agree to well with the motor and kept throwing up errors, hence the switch to the leviathan (even the tech has stopped installing gates due to their reliability issues). If you have any questions, please let me know. Got plenty of videos of it working as it should along with videos etc. It's cost me considerably more than the price you can have it for. Secure payments only on this so we are both protected. Internals: - Mirror polishing. AoE. Radiusing. 0.05mm shimming. Viton o-rings. - Tappet fin reshaped for ZCI delay chip and fps consistency. - Jefftron Leviathan (Bluetooth and real feel trigger) - Wired to Deans - Laylax trigger pin - FLT NGRS bushings - T238 Brushless Motor - TM bevel gear (better pinion meshing and lower amp draw) - ZCI spur and sector - E6 Enhanced recoil spring - SHS spring guide - E6 M90 - FPS Carbon fibre piston - FPS piston head - FPS cylinder head - FPS nozzle - Lambda One 303mm 6.01mm tightbore - PDI W-hold with red AK2M4 Omega nub Externals: - PTS EPG Grip - PTS EPS Stock Accessories: - 4 x PTS EPM NGRS Magazines - Could provide batteries with it that the tech built the rif with and fit perfectly into the stock. 12. I have a complete set of internals for the TM Glock 19 Gen 3. It's a long embarrassing story but I tried to put the TM frame internals into a Guarder frame. I have done this before with Guarder Glock 17 Gen 2 and 4 frames and encountered little or no difficulty. However the Glock 19 frame was anything but a straight fit. When I finally got them in, the slide stuck and I had to hammer it off. I tried again - first removing material from the inside of the frame and trying the slide again - and again and again and again, finally damaging the Guarder frame and breaking the TM slide. In the end I gave up, put the parts in a box and sold the magazine. So what I have now is a complete set of internal parts including bbu, outer and inner barrel, front and rear sights etc - everything except a slide, frame and magazine. I still have the original Marui frame which has a slight mark next to one of the assembly pin holes that you would probably not notice. Now, as I understand it, I can sell the parts without requiring a defence of the buyer, because they are only parts and not a rif. However I am thinking that it might be best not to include the TM frame, in case the authorities regard it as a part too far. I mean if a buyer could get the gun to work, he would only need a slide to have a full pistol. So forget the frame. Can I sell all the parts together to anyone whether they have a defence, or not, or should I sell them in smaller batches? It's no big either way for me but they are no use to me and so I thought somebody else might be able to make use of them for a small sum. If it I recently received a metal hi capa slide from Hong Kong which was delayed in customs. They asked me to complete a customs declaration form for firearms and threatened to charge me for storage. I wrote back to them explaining that I was importing a small metal part (an empty aluminium shell about 15cm long, 2cm wide and weighing about 80 grams) to replace a plastic part on an airsoft pistol already owned and had bought in England and that it was all perfectly legal. Eventually they relented and released the item on payment of 41 quid. This experience has made me a little nervous about what the law is, and just how well the civil servants know it.

  14. Since the regular MTW is so good, I'm actually hoping that internally they're almost identical. I still won't get the gen1 as soon as this releases though; even with something like an MTW, I'd rather wait and see if any problems arise and then if they do I can get the gen2 where all the problems are fixed And yeah, if other MTWs are anything to go by, these will be pretty expensive. Since I also want to do one with a HPA stock like a Wraith X or something, I reckon the build will easily go over £1000 for what I want to do, so it's good that I have time to put money aside for it
  15. Currently looking for an AK. Please let me know via my advert if you have anything you're looking to shift:

  16. Hi Everyone I need some help recently I borrowed my friend's spence arms m249 para and fell in love with the idea of a support role made for some great defensive games but when I said I might buy one myself he said to get the full size version instead of the para when looking I couldn't see any difference between the two spec wise unless I have missed anything my question really is their actually a difference? other than one being smaller is size any light on the topic is appreciated thank you in advance.
  17. Anything to do with firing mechanism and or pressure baring parts in a real firearm is restricted so i could see making triggers could get you in hot water if the police were looking to boost arrest statistics.

  19. Does anyone have experience with, or know anything about, the BO Dynamics P90? It's King Arms OEM and they upgraded it with a MOSFET but IDK what they used exactly. Can't seem to find much of anything on the internet about this and their own website doesn't have it listed, I assume it's because they're that old. I can only assume it's a simple MOSFET to protect the trigger contacts and let you use 11.1v safely rather than having any special functionality. All i've found about the King Arms P90s is that they're probably the best of the P90s before you get to Krytac and G&G.
  20. Despite Brexit, we still have an agreement with the EU where we don't charge each other customs duties for items produced or manufactured in the UK or EU. But by and large that doesn't apply to airsoft toys and tat. VAT is still chargeable, from anywhere in the world, and the old £16 minimum limit is long since gone. Now, anything up to £135 should have 20% UK VAT added at source. The seller has to register with HMRC and pay over the VAT to them[*], then the item ought to come through without further VAT or duties. Over £135, anything imported becomes liable for customs duties (from the list of ten kajillion types of goods), VAT, and then all the charges that get added on for working out and paying those charges. I can see that getting complicated and risky, e.g. you've got an order containing a mix of items that attract different rates of duty, or if HMRC disagrees with the categorisation or value. [*] I imagine there are ways to arrange things so that VAT and duties end up just resting in your account for longer than might be strictly necessary, or where the basket price that you're charging doesn't always match the value declared to HMRC.
  21. Tbh I'm finding that I don't carry primers on me as much any more as quite a few cqb sites are putting restrictions on the number of bangs you can use in a game I just saw this in the description Magnetic primer remover lifts the fired primer out of the chamber. Is there iron or steel in there? The ones I've always had are copper so I wouldn't expect a magnet to do anything. Also I just tend to tip the primer holding bit over and let gravity do the work
  22. As far as I know it’s just a rebranded Classic Army. So it’ll probably be reasonably reliable but don’t expect anything special. I used to have one and it was perfect for CQB, useable in woodland games but you’ll be outranged by anything other than a stock AEG. Fairly well compatible with upgrade parts etc.
  23. Another weekend, another game day at Worthing Airsoft and it was a bit of good and a bit of bad, all things considered. We turned up and I had not one, not two, but three m14s with me! All of them were different in almost every way. My TM m14 is full length and HPA, my Cyma m14 was a socom with an EBR outer barrel (so I can run a suppressor and still have a front iron sight) and the G&P was a relic in the DMR stock. Anyway, I knew I needed to test them all and at least one would work, surely... Surely, right? Well, fortunately the first one I took up did. The TM m14 was set to 80psi, passed chrono at 1.11 - 1.13J, but it's still doing the weird jamming thing, but not as much and not as bad. It is still a bit weird when I take the mag out and clear it, but it doesn't jam itself open to the point where I need an unjamming rod to fix it, and when the mag is in and it runs out of BBs it's generally fine. Was hopping the .32s out to a lovely distance, so that was good. Then I took the two AEG m14s up to get them through chrono as well, then I could decide which one to use. I picked up the Cyma, put the hop on and... the power took an absolute nosedive from 0.9J to 0.2J. I picked up the G&P m14, put the hop on and... same thing. Dropped from 1J to 0.3J. Fortunately, one of the local techs that I trust was around, so I spoke to him and have now given him both to have a look at. It's probably just tired o-rings or something, since the G&P is a relic and still has stock internals, and the Cyma was only available from a European warehouse so it's likely been sitting around for a while. I don't do AEG gearboxes though, so off they went to the tech. Now I need to buy another rifle bag, as that only left me with my smaller rifle bag (still fits the m14s in, but I can only bring 1 gun at the moment and no way am I turning up without a backup). First issue I noticed was at the brief. There were a lot of regulars and they almost all went on the yellow team, so me and my friend made a point to go on blue. A few regulars also went on blue, but it wasn't a very even split. Sure, we had some experienced players on our team, but not site regulars, so while they know how to play, there were a lot who didn't know where anything was. We also lost the rental lottery, with yellow getting the hard-pushing aggressive rentals and we got the passive hide behind barricades out of the fight rentals Anyway, I had the HPA m14 mostly behaving, so I took that out along with my new £60 ghillie cape that I put together. It worked an absolute treat! First game we had 3 flip cans in the Tower / village area, one in the tower itself, one in front of the church structure and one in front of the stables. However, they started with 5 on each team already in a building, but here was the issue. Other team put 5 regulars in, our team had 5 rentals in and they got annihilated as soon as game was on, giving the other team a very firm foothold in the village. Moreover, we were on the rubbish side, so pushing in was an absolute pain. I managed to crawl up and take a position that I like and it happened to have an angle on the stable building where a bunch of the regulars were and I completely shut them down... Until I got shot in the back by someone on my team while I was clearly firing at the enemy. Ugh! Anyway, I went back to respawn and came back, but this time I pushed up even further, taking another spot that had vision on the back of the stables, but also had line of sight down a long path and to a few other barricades and caused some havoc from there, shutting down the back of the stables again, but also screwing with their reinforcements coming in. Game eventually ended and we lost 2 cans to 1. I have yet to see a team win from that side! Anyway, we swapped ends and it was largely uneventful for me. I managed to push to a position to cover the church can (which was enemy controlled and no way I was going to get up there to flip it) as well as the stables flip can which was controlled by us. Just sat there, plinked a few people trying to push for the stables can and the game ended with 2 cans to 1 in our favour this time. I have yet to see a team, even with the teams not amazingly balanced, win from the other side! Next game was the sands of pain. The box was set up in the open on a table and both teams had to get to it and press down their coloured button. I was going to take a position to cover it, but basically our entire team went in that direction and me being a sneakybeaky ghillie boi today, I didn't want any of that, so I took a flank with my friend. We pushed down into a thick part of the site and my friend heard two of the regulars on the other team. He took one out, then ran out of ammo on his pp2k and got taken out by the other. I took a wide angle and... got a bit annoyed. The player he hit walked off without calling dead man, so me thinking he was either cheating or being mediced, I shot him in the back and got taken out by the same guy who took my friend out. He then told me to "watch my full auto"... on a gun that is locked to semi-auto and can't spam the trigger because the Hydra engine doesn't seem to like it and throws a tantrum at me if I do. That sweetened the sourness of the encounter a little as I always enjoy a bit of salt, especially since I knew who it was (and his gun is incredibly spammy and has a very fast full auto that he runs .36s through). Anyway, I went back to respawn and the guy who hit me got taken out when he tried to make a play, but I had a devious plan. We would go all the way around the bottom of the site and come up behind the enemy team, making sure not to spawn-camp, but shooting them in the back after they pushed down a path a bit further from their base. Unfortunately the game wasn't long enough and we couldn't get to our intended positions as the flank was long and for the last part we had to move slowly and carefully to avoid being seen. No idea what the time on the clocks were, but we swapped it around and again I intended to cover the box but everyone went that way so I went the other way. It worked out phenomenally as I pushed around to the side and lay down by a tree as I saw the bushes in the Clearing moving, so I knew someone was coming that way (ironically named now. It used to be clear, now it's a woodland killhouse). Turns out a ghillie on the other team was pushing through, but I didn't have a great shot on him. I knew he would push out because nobody on our team was watching, but he stayed for a bit. Eventually he pushed out and I got him with the mk23 and I found out at lunch time that he was literally having a piss when I saw his head moving about when he wasn't pushing out, which I found mildly hilarious 😂. Fortunately, didn't see anything indecent! Anyway, after I took him out, I heard more voices from that way, so after telling some young'uns on my team who had pushed up to where I was, I crawled through a ditch to get under a holly bush and I got spotted by another regular. Fortunately there was a tiny defilade, so I managed to get low enough and crawl behind this tiny tree to the point where they couldn't hit me. I waited for a bit, then I saw my team making a big push just in front of me, so I took the opportunity to slowly raise up and shoot between the V shape in the bottom of the tree to hit the guy who was still there (the regular who had spotted me had moved on). With that taken care of, I managed to crawl a bit further and get properly under the holly bush with a line of sight down the path. I hit so many people playing around that path, including getting a few shots underneath the holly bush on the other side of the path and hitting peoples ankles. There were a good 7 or 8 people looking for me, but none of them could find me and I kept taking them out with the silent HPA m14, which had no MED, and mk23 pistol. Ah, it's moments like this that make sniping so much fun! I decided to call it at lunch time. Don't want to push it with my heart issues still around and decided to do some testing with the HPA m14 on the range. First I tested it at 1.88J, putting it to 120psi and getting a nice 1.84 - 1.87J with every shot. I also upped the weight to .4s and set the hop and... it was sooooooooooooo good. I was aiming at the head of the 75m target and hitting just below it on where the torso would be (it's a man-sized target), and as it wasn't very windy today I was hitting that almost every shot. I was genuinely impressed; I didn't expect it to perform that well! I then put it to 1.64J (Worthing Airsoft's DMR power limit), getting 1.61 - 1.63J at about 105psi and... the difference was noticeable. I could hit the 75m target, but I was struggling a lot more. Aiming at the head of the target I was generally hitting the bottom of the tree, hearing the distinctive sound of impacting on wood compared to impacting on the metal of the target. Managed to get a few on target, but had to aim above it and arc them down. Considering on 1.1J I was hitting the 60m target with pretty much every shot, taking a 30m MED for 1.64J just isn't worth it at all. 1.88J is a different story, so that HPA m14 is going to be a Driver Wood gun as they use 1.88J as their DMR limit, but 1.64J was just lacklustre. I was super impressed with the 1.88J performance though, and the weird jamming on empty issue, while it was still present, was less of an issue with the higher psi. I think next game day I'll bring the m40a5 with the SR-25 as a backup. With autumn well and truly here, the leaves are starting to fall and sight lines are opening up slowly. Yes, I think the staff are actively trying to dissuade snipers with how they're building up the site (one of the site owners was on one today about ghillie snipers), but heading into winter my m40a5 is going to start coming into its own.
  24. Heya, anything included with the rifle? Mags, spare parts, or anything?
  25. Hello, I love vorsk, I have had a vorsk pistol for a while and its held up well so far. Only a few parts broke which were covered under warrant. Now I want to get one of their glocks. So I am tempted by the red match EU17. https://bbguns4less.co.uk/products/vorsk-eu17-vented-gas-blowback-pistol-in-red-black.html And by the red match EU18. https://www.defconairsoft.co.uk/product/vorsk-eu8-vented-red-match/ I am more swaying to the EU17 but whats with the huge price difference? (EU17 £130 EU18 £90) Is the EU18 made of less quality parts or something? If anything I though the EU18 would be more expensive. Or is it because the EU18 is less desirable? Just need the communities opinion before I make this purchase. Thanks
