  1. Aside from the bolt action stuff, right now I'm planning a Battle of Mogadishu (Black Hawk down and locally known as "Day of the rangers") diorama. Joined a modelling forum a while back and they have helped quite a bit. How am I supposed to do my English homework now you've shown me that video!! lol.
  2. It seems like quite about of fun! Might help me pass these next 2 years of chairsofting lol.
  3. I'd love to do re-enactment stuff to do with ww2/1. Seen lots of re-enactments and they are great!
  4. Great job who ever made it! It is amazing!
  5. I used to just go with airfix but Tamiya are a great make! I didn't know there were "ww2 games"?????? Scale has always been either 1:72 or 1:78. However i want to try a 1:13 world war 1 trench section at some point or a 1:13 Japanese spider hole. The kit stuff, I have no idea about. Some make up stuff from boots is great for the more "intricate" stuff aswell as different sizes of craft knifes. Anyway, for my ww1 diorama I have the sand. To make the sand into the terrain: (Before hand: 1. Make sure layers of newspaper are on the polystyrene to strengthen it.) 1.Put sand and glue and paint in a bbiiigggg bucket. 2. Mix everything while adding small amounts of water. 3. Use a tingy that you use when your cooking. The one that you use to scrape bowls out when you've finished making a cake lol. 4.Using ^ that! layer on the mixture where needed. 5. Bobs yer uncle Any criticism is welcomed!
  6. Andy Mcnab Liam Scott series. However, I think those are for younger readers. Read lots of Chris Ryan books and every one was great! Really enjoyed "All hell let loose", "Meeting the enemy" , "Rifleman" and "Forgotten voices of the Great War" which was staggering. All bar Andy Mcnab and Chris Ryan ones are ww2/ww1 books.
  7. To people who have a spring l85: Where did you get it?

Your 13 right? It is still reasonable for your mother to keep you away from these things, but as we all said, wait a little longer. Springers get boring real fast because of all the manual work. Since I'm nearly 17 (2 weeks), my parents aren't giving a crap anymore and i've already spent upwards of £500 on airsoft.

sneak into town, get a stranger to buy a gun (18+ and two tone ofc (like buying booze underage) and then pay them. Run home hide it and never get caught. Guaranteed 100% not to work. Also I do not buy booze xD

      Actually...no I don't lol.

  8. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Uul3-tx1yRo Dat clunck do.... abz This gun is brilliant!!!!!!!!!!! This being my 6th gun, best iv'e had so far. Accuracy is tremendous with 0.20g pellets. I still dont understand why they gave 0.12 g pellets to me considering the gun is recommended to take 0.20. But overall performance is fantastic!!!!!!! "Best gun ive had so far" Says something about his collection lol.
  9. Why would he leave such a beautiful gun! lol.

James, have a look online for the B26C airsoft pistol. It's a full metal springer Glock 17 which comes with two mags. Built like a tank, will last you years. Shoots 250fps and is accurate too. I take one to skirmishes as a back up. And I've had plenty of kills with it too, I even beat a guy who was shooting at me with an M249.

One of my excuses for needing it was for the l98 weapon at cadet, it would help me pass the test. A Glock however lol. I will try, some of the videos make it seem like it really is a tank!

  11. Has anyone here ever got a denix replica ww1 or ww2 gun?

Nott WW1 or WW2 (unless you are General Patton), but I've got a Denix Colt Peacemaker, it's quite nice actually.

I had a plastic cap gun revolver once, I hollowed out the barrel and rammed BBs down the front of the cylinder and used the pressure from the caps going off to fire it.

Actually worked, but the barrel was about 5mm wider than the BBs, so accuracy wasn't really a thing...

That's what I've done! But I've attempted a speed reload mag type of thing.

  13. Some of those look great! Love the fading Union Jack!
  14. Decided I want a proper watch instead of a £15 one every year and a bit. Are G-shock a good choice? Are the cheaper ones anygood (lower than £80)?

Luminox may be good, but they're not exactly cheap!

only thing wrong with G-Shock is they don't like Makita tools / the only more user friendly watch i've had was a really decent fake rolex with self wind, nr sweep, etc & all steel frame so it didnt look too bad either - got stolen :(

Got an old g-shock which must be about 10 years old now, still working perfectly. Found it too bulky though. Also got a Fossil which is a nice watch.

Do the horses count for 2 infantry and the cannons for 3? It was never explained properly in the rulebook, just that they can be converted that way.

The board game. Horses 5, cannons 10 and infantry 1 in mine.
