  1. yup deffo a liar - lips deffo moving there I saw hi end my ar$e !!! good show to get more people into sport bad idea to have JBBG there as will put people off if they think we use crap guns like that Tempted to go and ask JambWow: "ooh can i test this gun out before I buy it ?? " "Yeah sure - we have a small target range setup for this" chubby will say "No need chubby" - THEN TOTALLY LIGHT THAT BASTID UP THAT is for my missing mag - OUCH THAT is for my other missing mag - $HIT THIS is for my choccy Easter bars you didn't send me - YELP THIS is for sending me the wrong crap I didn't order - ARGHHH and finally THIS and THAT and THIS again is for just being a liar chubby bastid with $hit service on $hit products that have tucked up $hit loads of newcomers over the years - EEK STOP OUCH HELP Oh shut up chubby - ya lucky it was one of your guns that is pi$$ poor wish I had used a proper 400fps gun with .40's but ya only sell crap
  2. just like most boards - some very legit experienced honest people in charge uhhhmm - just like FIFA - Seth Platter is a 100% diamond geezer ???
  3. if you are getting a box and will deffo be fitting a mosfet in there then you could consider a Quick Change one some of these QC use microswitches instead of regular trigger switch microswitches are not ideal to use on their own in long term as running higher volt/amps as in normal non-mosfet setup will lead to increased arcing/carbon build up on microswitch in long term running these with lots of load may/will eventually burn out microswitch BUT - if wired for mosfet and then switch is trigger low load then these are perfectly fine for long term use well that is my understanding of some QC boxes with microswitches - used in normal non-mosfet mode and the switch will burn out unless mosfet installed front wired mosfet is imho - noobish still, but think front wired mosfet is a tad easier than rear wired due to no extra wire(s) running by motor/bevel gear - only the normal 2 motor leads rear wired ones and if thicker 16 or 14swg used can be a little tight with another mosfet wire running by motor so needs a bit more cable care on reaer wired ver 2 mosfet install I chucked together a pre wired rear mosfet - thought it would be ok for clearance only to rip the wires when testing motor in box - b0ll0cks !!!! then thought I wouldn't have this cramped for space issue with front wired - damn it also suppose the actual layout of mosfet signal wire could be improved slightly as well as the trigger switch desgin is so friggin dated and prone to fail/wear especially on semi (things still to do is do away with with mech switch and make switch all electronic but other crap keeps taking my time) soz for waffle - but microswitch or electronic trigger are not really for normal non-mosfet setup BUT perfect for the lower load mosfet box setup helmetworld do a QC microswitch box and AK2M4 do one as well as I think a few others 15% off helmetworld voucher - NC15 might still work but not sure but could consider a QC microswitch box for about £55ish I reckon
  4. in general it will all fit BUT there a few boxes that don't fit too well in some receivers SRC piles of pooh can be picky - that tiny thin pin don't line up 101% with some boxes but another box fits perfectly & vice versa - jjeeeeeeeeez (I currently have 3 boxes & 2 receivers that finally will fit perfect but not other way) generally me thinks TM into G&G will be fine but have found the odd ball ache
  5. pics added to elaborate - sure you can work out which is which soz for small pics but edited them to save space and then it didn't seem to work
  6. FINAL UPDATE & SOZ FOR NOT CONFIRMING THIS BEFORE G27 rapid Firehawk DOES have Top-Tech Gearbox in Plain grip FireHawk has STANDARD CM16 Gearbox in sorry chaps - putting them away and clocked the magwell and can deffo see a larger TopTech Hologram sticker on G27 one and grip motor cover has red paint presume to deter tampering and invalidate warranty Plain FireHawk has smaller normal G&G sticker and is same box on CM18 & CM16's no red paint on different grip motor cover So there ya go - G&G threw in a top tech gearbox deffo on initial first batch of FH's but just fitted the normal CM16 box on second batch with plain grip probably 16:1 on TT box Vs 18:1 CM16 box dunno about motor coz the rapid one has tamper red paint at first glance the box looks about the same from what little I could see but maybe they used higher speed gears and took a little more care in shimming/assembly think all G&G's from about March were using TT boxes & 8mm bearings but maybe ratios are different (must be) and perhaps better shim plus better piston/cylinder seals perhaps but first glance box could well be a TT gearbox case but with standard build spec on slower FH mystery solved - sort of so OP might wanna check change gear ratio if still after nutter ROF perhaps whilst he has her all in bits - if he does the full monty of motor/gear/mosfet it should easily wipe the floor/range with the first batch of FH's - hassle but might have to do this too (probably have my sneaky son nick it and give the old one once he's knackered it with box mag) Kiwi was right - seems like a proper full TT box in there - bastid G&G looking for great first reviews
  7. don't see why not but he may have 363mm inner & you got 300mm perhaps so new inner too - don't cut your old one unless you are very very very good with correct tools - buy another barrel if need to I'm looking into a couple of outer barrels too - not sure what 2 or 3 piece ones are any good or just get say a 10.5" one and maybe 15 or 18 one if doing a M4 dmr build
  8. WTF - JustBBGuns are gonna be there ??? checked the dates and it ain't 1st April - hmmm now that chubby bastid owes me a mag - actually 2 and at least 3 choccy bars plus sent me wrong stuff and on occasions did not inform me of the whole truth (this was the part when chubby's lips started to move = liar) surely you can't be serious.... I am serious - and stop calling me Shirley The JustBBguns stand will be heaving I bet. LWA will be thinking - bloody hell they must be coining it in then Pro Airsoft informs them that all them people at JBBG stand are RETURNING their lemon guns and demanding their money back from chubby the liar
  9. Deffo consider sending it back as it ain't a cheapo gun so DEFFO should be as described and true perfect good condition its TM not a £70 sniper - ok it might seem to shoot ok atm but: if you had gone in shop and picked this up to look/feel and noticed it would you have just paid top dollar - or at very least get discount for a slightly shop soiled/demo gun I have a crappy SRC dragon and f**k me the tip of plastic outer barrel is bent to $hit - it fired consistently pi$$ed - rear sight almost right over to get it to line up I deeply regret not taking the pile of crap back - not just coz it was bent but found out later just how $hit it is as well - but that was a £75 gun and have kind of killed it even more messing about with it so suppose it was better than killing a TM gun if you bought it in this country - maybe even in Eu there is the distance selling of goods act Well something like that - google it, basically it means you got like 7 working days to decide if you are happy with an item - even send it back if your are not happy changed mind obviously some retailers may try to brush you off but there are numerous consumer rights out there and ok £75 gun and buyer has to pay for return postage and couldn't be ar$ed at time with my SRC - but if I'm paying top dollar for a top model then even I would like it to be what I paid for besides just coz it "seems" ok now - time you upgrade it perhaps you may notice it IS A BIT F**K'ed soz for yet another long waffle post but very seriously consider ringing the seller at very least don't wait n see - or you will miss the boat and be stuck with it (might get a small discount or new barrel sent/replaced - you don't ask you don't get as they say)
  10. yup but my ear has less experience than many on here (or hear) and/motor height slightly out of wack - both will reduce rof etc.... also listening on vid's things sound a tad different perhaps but deffo pointing out there where some changes made maybe they changed ratio say from 18:1 to 16:1 and/or beefy motor maybe recent G&G's may have had some less than perfect shimmed boxes or lower "just chuck it in" build quality maybe... But think motor will help and if he is fitting mosfet & redoing the wiring in box then can check if the shimming is $hit too I would be very interested as I'm in same boat but still reasonably happy with my own less than snappy FH Shame these lower FH's appeared, but like the TT mosfet problem - G&G are not without their flaws but way better than most value for money M4 makers (they make higher end stuff but most bread n butter probably comes from low/mid range stuff) I love the CM18 - and think G&G's 2 x 30th edition models were not best lookers should of done a nice metal receiver CM18 for one their releases then again think they should do a clear Raider for beginners as well soz for waffle post again - if OP susses out or manages to get her singing like she should then please enlighten us with your findings - muchas gracias squire (and fanx to all on here that assist noobs like me trying to learn as I go)
  11. even standard CM16 g/box's should have 8mm bearing in there and they are miles better boxes than crap SRC we fitted a high speed one to a CM18 and ran with old school 9.6v which was probably banging out 10.6v+ at first seems like the AR or AR spring has started to fail a little BUT - if you staying with 7.4v and fit a mosfet you really really should be fine our CM18 is firing fine most of time but now n then you hear box roll back (might be a sticky AR spring I suspect) our little problem may have been due to pushing it too much but think a fair amount of bad luck too - might have failed in a few months but beefy volts didn't help maybe and she played up a bit sooner than later think you will be perfectly fine especially with mosfet and lower volts she will fire quicker and last longer too |I reckon but I am still learning also you are going about it all in the perfectly correct way in my book
  12. deffo higher end motor - might have put in TT box too but am sure they tweaked it a bit on first batch to make sure she would sell well they was talking about an even high ROF model coming out end of year but if G&G have started to pull this lower rate crap on subsequent batches then I think I won't be tempted to get another (may as well tweak my one a bit - once i get the hang of it a bit more)
  13. you also put a crane stock on there probably coz like me you got fed up messing with the friggin thin batteries in tube Got a cheapo stubby fixed one on both FH's saves all that pi$$balling about and most time stubby is fine for quick fire shots on waiting for longer shot and waiting for the enemy to walk into line of sight yeah could do with a click more adjustable stock but hey ho can't win them all for about £140 she still is good value with other bits on there LWA want £33 for the FH amplifier - no way would I pay for migrane and the VS02 stock on the FH is crazy money £50+ pah - cheapo knock off one for about £12:50 - wtf is gonna know difference ??? but yeah shoved a £15 aprox black stubby on there which has loads of room for battery of almost any size/shape and you could easily chuck in mosfet too I think cqb is what she was made for but she ain't bad out in the woods either last game of day marshal tells everyone to load up for...... this is when the box mag comes out and all hell breaks loose very loud and very heavy fire is unleashed upon enemy team
  14. Think the plain FH has a more standard motor in deffo G27 is faster - just compared side by side aprox 16 vs 20 as I said not a massive amount that you notice straight away but when compared side by side - hang on a sec that don't seem as quick yeah you got mosfet and possible better wiring - hitting at guess 22-ish similar to a CM18 with high speed motor in we have possible option is to replace FH motor with high torque/speed OR - maybe swap motor's in the 2 guns and perhaps the ROF should balance out at say 18-ish but this is mega guess work and tbh if other is running sweet then leave it as is - think leave massada is a good idea tbh If it ain't broke - don't try to fix it (something I need to take on-board more) reckon get a SHS / ZCI / Big Dragon motor and that should claw back some and leave you with a FH to be proud of but yeah - deffo the plain FH's seem to have a lower ROF than first batches with G27 grip soz - but it is a pi$$er but then FireHawk's are hard to find and a replacement may be a while and is such a dinky gun that everybody talks about she comes out of bag... noticed you changed the loud mouthed flash hider - yeah can give the owner a headache (let alone your team mates especially in buildings - f**k she can be a loud bitch inside) I share you slightly lower ROF on my one - (son nicked my first rapid one I got) but still a nice gun for money - shame it may need a tweak now that G&G have toned her down (well that was my impression of them and your FH seems to follow this atm but still guesswork)
  15. Tall_King_Crap - PSN & MS Live also have Tall_King_Bollox on PSN plus loads of others - soz if I ever pi$$ed off any of you in past but not been online for yonks properly due to too many hackers
  16. what exact ROF are you referring to - is the Firehawk really that slow are we talking less than 15rps & other gun is 20rps ??? really silly question but what pistol grip is fitted to your FH ??? apart from a couple of variants with battery/without and US or EU market there seems to be 2 different grips fitted to Firehawks NOW I may be adding 2 + 2 and getting 5 but here is what i mean: G27 type of grip: http://www.landwarriorairsoft.com/airsoft-weapons-c38/electric-rifles-c45/g-g-g-g-fire-hawk-p3375 plain texture grip: http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?products_id=9475 I think the first batch had the G27 type and these do seem a bit quicker than the plain grip ones... Now they may have made some revisions - due to stock, reliability, cost or whatever reason They "seem" to mainly ship with plain grip - well this summer they seemed to appear as opposed to G27's How or what am I basing this $hit on - I own both types and imho the plain grip FH has lower ROF - not massive but deffo doesn't seem as quick - both still on Small Tamiya btw but the G27 is deffo a bit quicker By that I am saying aprox 20rps Vs say 15.5ish on say a 9.6v or 9.9v Life but haven't chrono'd these for a while myself If my hunch or complete b0ll0cks theory is correct, then I may think they may have used nigh the exact same stuff but perhaps the first batches might have used a more beefy motor in the small run supply back at Easter I don't think they would of used a higher speed ratio as they probably would grab same CM16 g/box to chuck in but maybe they used a beefy motor either to give it a good review, or after some of their mosfet AEG's failed G&G might have thought - whoa best tone it down a bit (no mosfet in FH but just using the mosfet problem as example) Now all this may be me reading too much into this but i did notice a difference in the 2 versions then again you never get 2 of anything the exact same either so put it down to one is sweet & other not bad could be a pi$$ poor build/shimming in one or perhaps not exact same build/motor in the other if your FH has the G27 grip then that screws my theory/difference in two FH's think Giant Kiwi's FH had the G27 grip - but he also had deans connectors on there too I think but first lot of reviews said she fired pretty damn quick indeed but we both also have a slightly slower Firehawk it seems none of this crap really helps but thought I would type up some crap findings/theory I have about them
  17. Can't do it, mate. Put it in the off topic section of the forum. I mean ffs, we have to have some kind of plan!
  18. Gunfire got their a$$ in gear this time - box of bits turned up today instead of Thursday - wow a few SHS red M4 nozzles - both vers norm & long (couldn't decide so bought some of each) couple of AR with springs - actually its the bloomin' springs I lose - damn it a cheapy 6mm type ver2 shell - yup but I kinda gave up with one I was messing with another box on way with hydration pouch (free with points) SVD hop-up (another freebie from points) SVD cocking handle coz UK sniper was out of stock (and GF was a tad cheaper so grabbed one) damn it - something else - well that may arrive Friday got a shed-load of tabs open hovering to buy more crap i don't need and really pi$$ missus off but trying to ease up a bit and sort out the crap i already have......
  19. opening can of worms...... Or rich bastids with tippmann/polarstar (but I ain't THAT rich and tbh I feel they aren't real airsoft guns - ooh 2 x cans of worms now)
  20. I'm sure you will get it better than say 270fps & 8.5rps with proper ver3 in there plus with the weight or rather lack of it you could just go nutz and buy another...... AKIMBO BEEFED UP AK12's - yeah mofo's now who's laughing at my gun(s) now 8itches !!!
  21. Flex - I do hope you are not taking GSCE Geography..... if you are then I think you need to do more studying & less skirmishing
  22. probably just over 7 days my first order was over 2.5 weeks to be delivered but was when they had a 20% sale on so suspect they got hammered normally 7 to 10 days max usually i have found a little slower than TaiwanGun but bigger range and still free ship on 60-70Euro GLS is about the same time shipping - or maybe 1 day extra than UPS maybe they check out stuff like UKARA when you do first order ? Or I also think they wait a little while to ensure no chargeback on new paypal customers (yeah I think I email'd them say wtf is my order and got "very busy & paypal verification" response once you have ordered before all my subsequent orders went through a bit quicker yeah - think it ain't uncommon for first order on new account to take a bit longer but they alright - usually 7 days but might be longer for 1st order if you ordered a JG G36 - they supposed to just a tad over 350 and have a screw adjustment at back to tweak fps from 360 to 400 - no doubt this is adjusting the spring guide not sure about this how good or if peeps can chrono'd @ 340 and ramp it up a bit on field but for fair players it could be good if gun starts to drop a bit in fps & tweak it back up before needing to service g/box etc..........
  23. TW do ship stuff very quickly and it could of been packed up for UPS in good faith on Sat but not booked a sat collection as no doubt extra charge if you wanna wait then go to GunFire - very often it will be longer than TW if you like liars then JustBBGuns can't be beat if you like Bull$hit then ebairsoft is great for stuff in stock but after you pay you find a month later "processing" still and spend a few days chasing for refund - choose something else they suggest (even though they probably don't have your second choice in stock either) I had problems with quite a few retailers - but then I have gone nutz recently so serves me right suffice to say you will always get the odd hicup or bad/less than perfect service usually it is some other poor sod but if we keep buying these toys then chances are it will come around to all of us in the end - hopefully it will arrive say Wed/Thursday and plenty of time to test/change spring
  24. cheers for replies looks like bushings and maybe a SHS 18:1 set (not gonna get Siegetek 20:1 etc.... wow they not cheap) that 32:1 set also req half tooth cylinder - screw that is me first oomphy dmr build could use a mix of bearings/bushings - especially if single shot dmr - hardly gonna go mental on ammo but hopefully just want it just work for a good while so stick with bushings as I said 18:1 - recently SHS 18:1 have gone from 10 to 9 teeth on bevel gear so newer 18:1's are slightly higher ratio some say this change is good & others not as good/reliable as 10 tooth sets but will be using a high torque motor so think the SHS 18:1 or 19:1 whatever, will still be best all round set fanx 1,000,000 chaps
  25. cheers - I will keep the bushings that are in there already then 32:1 gearset don't like 2 x ver 2 g/box's as it hits the the trigger switch pin (bit behind switch that often breaks where switch jumps back to on semi - soz for non-techy name) this 32:1 set might fit in another g/box type but deffo not in a ver 2 box easily unless ACSU fitted (from from my first impressions coz that sector gear is massive) my 20:1 might be ok but was a cheap stock gearset so may look for a quality 22:1 perhaps and 200:100 don't look too great either failing that might have to settle for a 18:1 maybe
