Delay plate goes on sector gear and keeps tappet plate back a little longer to help ensure a bb is loaded - the tappet plate/nozzle returns well before the piston fires but even on semi sometimes the gears can overrun when it stops and by then the tappet plate is starting to pull back - but this can look like it hasn't returned properly when in fact it is now starting its next cycle - nozzle is pulling back I'm no expert but a complete noob - if you haven't opened box and still has seal on it then try to return it - you paid good money and that toptech box and gun that cost a few bob should have not gone faulty so quickly and should of been ok once dried out if the shop gives you any crap - well if it didn't screw up so quickly then I wouldn't have tried to clean it don't mention anything about damp or rain - it shouldn't have caused this much hassle once dried out but don't let the retailer fob you off as you got it wet - so don't mention that crap you paid good money and it should have lasted a bit longer and all that - try the return or speak to them I am still learning but even I only mess with cheapo guns coz usually so far i end up making them worse - lol don't put up with it or pay out to quickly coz it should be lasting better even with a bit of rain (don't mention rain ffs - it just jammed n all that, seemed to clear itself but then dry fired now n then)

Sounds a bit like what OnlyBBGuns "might" say TBH get a G&G Raider or Carbine at about £130 ish and can be 2-tone free at zero one Miles better AEG option or get a decent sniper and so what if it is 2 tone You said it is for back yard target so colour makes absolute no difference If you go for 2 tone and onlybbguns do quite a few in blue, then blue is not that bad Plus in light of what has happened recently black RIF are no doubt gonna get bad press And some places should be tightening up or ensuring the law is implemented much more than before Funny thing is many of us end up spraying our own camo or stuff like that or even go mad on pink guns for a laugh If you can avoid orange as it is a little too vivid to spot on skirmishes but back yard stuff Wtf does it matter especially if it works OK If it is 2tone then your neighbours might not call the SWAT so quickly too Far fetched - ask some 12 yr olds mum F@#K ME 17 guests looking at this post - jeez The law is to protect everybody - you n others around you Go to a skirmish site ffs, learn some safety n respect for sport And others around you. jeez - not trying to turn this into any race row or anything like that..... I was just asking the black guy at work his take on this coz yes the 12 yr old was black (dunno if cop was white - nor do I care) and the way things get blown or taken out of context in media n others opinions etc.... no blame lies with really anybody else but the poor dumb a$$ kid I admit I took my FireHawk & CO2 pistol into work to in effect "show off" to a few people one has a firearms license and has brought in his hunting rifle in the past (also showing off) I had both items in their boxes and in black bin bags in my car but wasn't being ultra stupid with it - though we fired some shots inside a closed warehouse - but all same Despite all this on here and all what is going on Stateside - none of it will bring the kid/guy back But hopefully we will ALL learn from this - young or old and try be a little more responsible

It is a very tragic waste of a life the kid could of been thinking to reach for gun and drop the weapon first on floor (like he sees in movies/tv etc...) BUT - the officer had to make an immediate split second decision yes he could of shot shoulder or another area that may not have been so life threatening but then he hardly emptied a mag or finished with a final head shot after the 2 body shots So yeah with hindsight he could of done things a bit different and kid would still be alive but then the kid could of not taken it to the park too The kid probably screwed up when officers spoke to him - c'mon what teenager/kid follows instructions or does as they are told straight away - maybe he didn't hear or thought he should drop weapon on floor then put hands on head etc - who knows & we might never know for sure what kid was thinking Terrible tragic waste of a life - poor mum etc...... and just more airsoft bad press we could do without if it happened in this country I would like to think armed officers would be a little more cautious BUT then I ain't gonna be feckin stupid enough to tempt fate and take stuff out to the park either The gun looked very real at first glance - orange tip removed - open park area - pointing it at people Stupid kid - and that is what he is/was and just asking for trouble but still very sad for kid's family

I bought a B500A1 & Well D68 (M4 & G36 cheapo) at first and they could at a scrape work ok-ish and I do say ISH on cqb but never really for anything at woodland site but AK12 is longer (even though they probably used the D68/AK74 inner barrel in there) so may not be compact for cqb - but chock has given it a good boost with a proper G/box to give it back a bit of ooomph out in the field I gave in and bought one and probably never get around to putting in a g/box as it slowly dawned on me about bucking & maintaining it once I had her out the box - damn it Think most of us would like the traditional AK's to be a little more "mount" friendly like the AK12 but alas the AK mounting system is a bit limited and often needs a little mod or tweak to fit some rails on there if they are not specific to your own AK: side SVD quick detach or screw on TM type AK plus the RIS battery cover that seems to fit only on some cyma 39's there is also another one I found recently but seems overkill to me http://www.khmountain.com/airsoft/product_info.php?products_id=3268 on the DIY side of things - the best possible DIY mount seems to be this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hunting-Dovetail-to-Weaver-Adapter-Picatinny-Rail-Scope-Mount-100mm-Length-/331327022780?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item4d24a126bc note how it is curved underneath to help affix to top/battery cover though you still have some bumps or ridges to file down/remove or groove the rail underneath - quite likely the curve or contour may not be a perfect or complete 101% match but certainly better than most "flat" underside rails The main pain is it being a tad short 100mm, a 150mm would be better but suppose fit 2 x 100mm I guess At least if this DIY version was fitted then it wouldn't be such a pain to change battery for some compact AK's The side fitted mounts or 39 mount could be a pain if battery was in top cover The Tri-Mount on KH Mountain has the main rail raised maybe too much I think and the main iron sight on AK sits very very low, so moving back just the rear iron sight even on a slightly higher rail will very likely require the from sight being raised too perhaps Hence the AK12 has real advantages with its more modern out of the box rail look but there are some possible rail options for classic AK's and do hope Cyma might do a " 12 " based rear end AK coz I do like it. Plus the Airsoft AK's do hold up very well even if you hate them - they do hold their own if you give them a go OOoopps soz for going on - probably leave my AK12 as is for now as I said I dunno when I will get round to it (If I actually bother doing the g-box mod - but mega kudos to Chock)

Not knocking it - it is great and can see some paintballers crossing over to airsoft but think I will still wait or jam an airline & mac valve into to something (battery req) - let the old gears run without spring/piston tap an airline into cylinder head - run pipe to mac/solenoid out of back of old gearbox but tappet plate still used with gears to load bb's to hopup - little micro switch trigger solenoid ROF can be tweaked up or down by voltage - no major drain coz m120 spring gone so just spins gears plenty of small regulator valves can be fitted to adjust fps and later advanced versions can have a small pic chip or controller circuit to adjust the solenoid "on" time or burst of air volume firing out of cylinder head etc...... Well that is the basic concept in turning old crappy aeg into HPA and is probably quite do-able if you have time or build a mental Vortex mofo from bits of plastic pipe etc..... Can see HPA growing - but atm it is still expensive for what it is - but convert or a diy kit could mean we get hpa and can still use all our favourite models n tweaks n barrels n stuff rather than be tide to polarstar/tippmann stuff

like has been said - 2 tone target pistol means jack it is only when you skirmish that the bright orange can give your position away quicker than RIF Like I said a little tiny bit of black paint could be " spilt " on it at a later date but no UKARA then no RIF, still 2-tone is fine and I got a 2-tone CO2/GG pistol that is fine as it is

"rapid" pistol could be quick with an AEP with lipo but pi$$ poor 200fps power Green Gas about 350-ish or CO2 will go to about 450-ish Some of the ASG / KWA CZ range will take both CO2 & GG mags - aprox 22 bb's and has some kick ar$e blowback and fire quicker on CO2 too if not UKARA'd then 2-tone blue slide will be ok and could have a splash of black "spilt" on it

in UK "some" things - RIF = black guns require defense or UKARA database entry and maybe some retailers also might req a few checks on BFG's n blanks but think most don't as they are like fireworks on there own They might be some restrictions on BFG's in some countries like Spain but Spain seems less strict than UK on black Realistic Imitation Firearms (RIF) Either way - it would be worth given Zero One a call I reckon on Monday and they can advise you/brother on anything like this

not sure if you need UKARA for BFG's tbh RIF - yes but 2-tone and some other stuff No I got my Oshiboom from JBBG and 2 boxes of 9mm blanks (100 9mm blanks) - before UKARA'd But when ordering Dynatex from zero one, the order was halted until I completed the form I had to d/load, fill out, scan & email back the pyro form from zero one even though they had my UKARA on file (not sure if it was coz of buying 300 x 6.02 primers with BFG - they were on crazy offer at time) Think there was no mention on the form if I was UKARA'd - just declaration I was sesnsible 18+ and understood the do's/don'ts safety issues etc.... basically zero one covering their ar$e I guess Have ordered primers from JD Airsoft but gave them my UKARA anyway.... LWA sell these primers too but when I looked they were out of stock a while ago So think the law on BFG's and blanks especially is a little unclear but think most retailers may not be as strict as when they sell RIF's and all that After all - the blanks & BFG's are sort of just a firework banger in the end and as long as you are 18+ you can buy thunderflash, bangers, blanks, rockets & catherine wheels etc..... As well as 2-tone IF & 2-tone blank firing guns I think I am not gonna use the word "flawed" but is kinda crazy why not all places check or fill out a form etc.... yes a little blank is quite safe if used correctly - but detonate 100 together like a box of bangers and that is dangerous much like a 2-tone IF can still have some sod's eye out I guess if used foolishly Soz for rant - end of day think Spain's Airsoft laws are not as strict as UK - seen loads of cheaper black RIF's and air pistols/rifles I think for sale in Spanish Toy shops for adult purchases so doubt if Spain req defense as such (Ireland doesn't req defense for RIF - but think Germany has a possible rule no full auto airsoft guns but dunno if that true) weird some of this defense malarky - but hey its still banned down under in Australia and blanks/pyro's BFG's etc.... is a little unclear - but think Zero One will know if they are ok to export to Spain

Well perhaps flawed is a strong word but I wouldn't say it is completely 101% perfect Already said I see both sides but we continue to abide by it Yes it can seem to suck or be a bit daft on occasiosions and have thought about this n that but any further checks will be more time/hassle/money We abide by it (UKARA) and that is that - already said about it is site putting their name behind the players and not just gonna do that for love. I retract my statement that it is deffo flawed - but I wasn't just moaning about it rather saying how grateful I am for it Though wasn't they going to implement photo id but that never happened ??? It is a basic database that is all it is, could be more involved but thankfully it isn't (besides even with additional checks that would cost it still would not be 101% perfect I guess) A thanks to all members & retailers - but its a supply n demand chain in the end. You abide by the rules to get something that does actually exist in hard real terms but the database is what is used by retailers to check/verify we have a reason or defense you could even do 3 x half day walk on's - than 3 full days (so the OP could play for 1 day but as 2 x half days if paid in 2 lots) The site may not be ultra $hitty, I mean they run site to make a possible small profit even sites that really enjoy airsoft can't do all the stuff at a loss & just love of it Plus they are the ones who are putting their name down behind a player Yup most places do make a small charge - my site does but they got pi$$ed with too many players doing 3 games get UKARA and just pi$$ off or hit n run so to speak So yeah I totally see both sides of this UKARA coin, and yes its far from perfect BUT though sometimes we moan about it, it could be a LOT LOT WORSE and more involved Heck CRB checks are not cheap - I have had to had a few over the years but my job paid for it plus CRB check is like a MOT - it is valid only up to that date of issue - could be going up for GBH or affray but my CRB 6 months ago says I no previous...... This could also leave to maybe or or two of us who may have done a small stretch or cautioned for a pub brawl when we was younger - that pops up and it could lead to unrealistic judgements perhaps.... UKARA like many things is far from perfect.... Like many many regs n rules these days No CRB check or sanity check I'd fail that one I could of done a 10yr stretch for armed robbery Come out do a few games and go n get my next RIF for my next job - no I am a sort law abiding guy really Just coz you had it n in armed forces means little to UKARA I'm afraid and we all have to follow those rules You play at a few sites so ask a couple to see if they may help but doubt if they will coz they can't really Sucks but afraid few will do it if they go by the book Maybe the site might renew if you get 2 games in quick That sounds fair to me but each site operates differently But 2 games quick if you was a regular and only just expired this year coz you was away - well that is what I'd do

Not taken any of my AKs apart yet so no AK expert BUT was just saying these cheapo guns are not designed to be taken apart regularly So say you change hop up rubber in 6 months time then these cheapo guns may and I say "may" not hold up well over time and like my B500A1 ooh it is a git to open where as a TM compat M4 pops open much easier to say change hop up rubber It is not gonna be an easy gun to maintain coz of its cheap build Just thought about stuff like changing hop up rubber and ooh crap its all gotta come apart again OK well you could pop in say a 400mm barrel and hop up n rubber, but still if it needs a bit of cleaning, servicing & tweaking then it is not same as servicing "normal" AEG's that was what i was meaning and thought it should be taken into account before buying c'mon CYMA knock out a new AK12 rear end by the New Year maybe ????????

Got mine today, not really played or fired it but a quick couple of things Barrel is 100m shorter than it could/should be - chock did mention this I know BUT - one thing that should be noted and I never fully realised.... This is NOT gonna be a regular skirmish weapon I think coz it won't be so easy to service and maintain - eg: - hop up clean/replacement - the 2 halves will have to come apart again to replace hop up - so the threads will soon strip Now hopefullu somebody like CYMA or maybe JG may remake the ar$e end coz it is just a usual AK front end but more modern body - can't be that hard to remodel a reg AK47 body - I mean we have numerous options to replace a cheap plastic CM28 with a metal body so maybe CM or JG will remake a half decent plastic and maybe later metal body This will make the gun easy to service and maintain - atm don't expect this AK12 to last if you keep taking it apart like I said - but better body and you are onto a winner I reckon I like it - sort of modern AK - ergh yeah that was the idea I know but think it would be a good cross over from the normal M4 user to try out So c'mon on Cyma & JG - make a proper body and start making us a better AK12 reckon it will be a good seller - well I will buy one/two will play more with later but hopup replacement can be a bitch on this Viper one so don't rush out and buy it if you thinking of using it a lot chaps

if its the one that long stick battery that goes down tube then do some checking first..... obviously it will be longer 7.2v = 6x1.2v 8.4v = 7x1.2v 9.6v = 8x1.2v if it is like the thin "stick" battery then be careful - you only have so much room like in some AK's where they use stick battery's depending on AK stock used it "should" fit but on longer batteries you may need to ensure the small tamiya/wires are short as there is gonna be less room left for wires. Also I would suggest sticking to well known makes like Vapex perhaps as some other makes may be a tiny bit thicker and can be difficult to fit inside the tube - it is tight even on good battery makes work out what room you may have by adding on 1 or 2 cells for 8.4v or 9.6v sticks first before you buy compact little gun but pi$$er for changing battery quickly & easily on them
