  1. Seals was the first thing I tried, they all seem to be pretty good. Certainly better than my g&g was and that still managed 320. I have a good rubber in my GHK so will strip that out tomorrow. With the full cylinder in it's still only 210 FPS on .25 Tomorrow I will take the pads out completely and try again. And I may drop a 363mm barrel in to see of that makes any change. I may also back off the shims slightly, it may be slightly tight. Thanks for the input so far, keep them coming!
  2. now you have said that, I can remember reading it somewhere before. hop up seems to seal ok, a bit of a leak but a lot of resistance, so im happy with that for now untill i can get another mapleleaf hopup rubber. Another thing I have spotted is the nozzle is always compressed and solid after shooting semi, is that normal? i never noticed it before. almost like its pre-cocked. Do i need a delay chip maybe?
  3. So, new gearbox shell arrived and is built, sits nice, shimmed nicely sounds quiet and a really nice crisp rapid trigger ...... but its only shooting 190fps (.25) with a brand new lonex 110 spring. Air seal cylinder - head = perfect, Head- nozzle = not brilliant, but still pretty good for a moving part. Hop up seal seems pretty good no obvious leaks, (how do you test the hop up seal?) the pressure of air leaving the gearbox feel the same with barrel or without barrel. Piston ring is new and seal well, gears are good condition, motor is a guarder infinity torque all running on a 7.4v 25c lipo, full of juice through 16g wire. Now I did do an AOE correction on the instructions of the youtube video, I used rubber tap washers with a nice large bore, and needed approximately 5-6 mm correction, 2 teeth lost and almost perfect engagement. The cylinder also has a large bore hole/ inlet approx 2/3 of the way down (430mm barrel) so by moving the cylinder head space in by 6 mm i have lost a fair amount of compression volume, could that account for 150+ fps loss? or have i fluffed up the AOE? is the rubber too hard? Finally, when shooting on semi, the piston never returns to the same position and never to The head without the spring having a degree of compression. I cant get another standard uncorrected piston until tomorrow, but do have a spare ASG ultimate cylinder I could try tonight. I'm getting fed up now, it started fun, now I am getting bored of it very rapidly. I should have just bought a recoil and left it alone. Opinions please? What am I missing? What have I fluffed?
  4. Is that 360 FPS standard across all magazines? There was a 1j bolt kit for these iirc, I'm on my phone but will double check later.
  5. From everything you have written you don't need a DMR, you just need a good standard AEG. I echo lozarts suggestion of an m14! May be a nice compromise. The advantage of 450fps is eroded by the semi only and low cap mags. Don't underestimate the ability to suppress on full auto, when you lose it, you will miss it. Dot sights are more than accurate enough for airsoft and scopes can offer a disadvantage is aqua siting times, although a combo of scope and dr sight or relex and magnifier could be an option.
  6. But that's exactly my point isn't it? There are some things that look cool but are definitely NOT acceptable to wear, such as Medals, Rank, TRF patches, TBOC patches, Taliban Hunting Club patches, crossed rifles, wings etc. I just wanted to double check that the Punisher symbol wasn't one of them.
  7. My Mk12 impression SPR is nearly finished, the last few externals have all arrived and put together. I'm just waiting on a new Gearbox shell from AK2M4 (much credit to Pete, good guy and great site) to put the gearbox back in after my other two shells both have selector plate issues. I'm really tempted to put the GHK GBB conversion in it. Partslist: Madbull JP Rifles 18" barrel and Flash Hider 455mm 6.01 TBB with Maple Leaf Hop up rubber and H nub Classic Army Hopup Unit ZCI RAS KA style Hand guards Harris style Bi-Pod, great for looks but may swap it out for a gripod for practicality. G&G GR16 reciever. Magpul grip and P-Mag Clasic Army full Stock ACM Cantelever mount ACM 3-9 x 40 EG Scope. The gearbox is going to be a ZCI microswitch shell, built to DMR spec as per "the guide" but to 350fps and retaining full auto like a real Mk12. I'm going to run it standard for a while before deciding on an AB mosfet or a MERF 3.2 and how it will wire into the microswitch trigger. Finally I can't decide on the paint job!! I was thinking of doing a full beat up "just back from the sandbox" style paintjob, however 1) i'm not that artistic and cant picture how i want it to look and 2) I t looks decent black, and would suit my civi style demilitarized loadout. I cant decide what to do .... opinions?
  8. I'm sorry but this is complete and utter rubbish! Slightly misleading. [edited due to being a bit harsh] Just because a site is selling cheap garden plinking guns does not make them unprofessional. Just because people don't do their research and get dazzled by the bling advertising, does not make a site unprofessional. Just because people shop for airsoft in the wrong place does not make the site unprofessional. The site itself is well organised and capable of processing what you order and dispatching in a timely manor; which in my book is the definition of a professional site. The point to be made is that they are not Airsoft Skirmishing guns, they are cheap garden plinking guns. Two very different markets and aimed at two very different customers. You wouldn't walk into a Hyundai dealer and ask for a Ferrari beating super car, then slander them as unprofessional because they don't sell it. As a forum we are treading a very fine line of slander and libel towards these types of businesses. Its happened in the past and will happen again where a forum owner may be held responsible for the actions of its posters. The answer to your original question is: don't buy from them because they only sell cheep bb guns not suitable for Airsoft.
  9. The site itself is reasonably good and safe to order from, the problem is the majority of guns they sell are not deemed suitable for airsoft.
  10. I'm liking the look of the Punisher logo and am considering putting it on my rough finish desert Mk12 style SPR once I finish building it. However I know it has been used by the US military, but is based on a Comic and adopted by the military as opposed to being for the millitary. So simple question is it acceptable for a Civillian to sport the Punisher logo or is taking the piss?
  11. Here you go a little light reading on the subject http://www.ar15.com/ As cheese has said (not that he needs my validation) an accurate MK12 will cost silly money and still be no better than the base gun it was originally, The barrel length, scope and bipod are alomost worthless in airsoft, other than for looks and willy waving rights. I'm in the process of building a MK12 Impression out of the necesity to use some very nice spare parts I have. Even a vague impression is going to cost nearly £200 in parts ontop of your base M4.
  12. ...... but they are still not coming out anytime soon?
  13. Get the M56 Tri shot for not a lot more cash.
  14. Regardless of the legalities, the skull hydro dipping film looks shit.
  15. ASCU? Have you found any in stock anywhere?
  16. Short answer is Nope. They are for KWA glocks, not TM. It may be possible to bodge it, but it's entirely counterproductive. If your pistol is inaccurate, it's probably not your barrel.
  17. Instead of a shotgun I would suggest an aeg on it, you have to cock a shotgun for one shot, where as an aeg can have a remote switch bridging the trigger contacts reducing the need for servos and complexity.
  18. If your mum won't let you have another till this one breaks, you could try putting an 11.1v lipo in it?
  19. It sounds most likely to be the piston sear, pull it apart and look for wear on both the piston and trigger sears and make sure the piston is still in good condition. The sears are made of cheese and is common for them to fail.
  20. Ontop of all of that, you need to consider SEO, building a site seo optimised from the ground up is significantly easier than doing it retrospectively. SEO is essential to a successful website, do not underestimate it. We allocated 2/3 of our development budget to SEO. I'm going to say it again, if sales is your goal, then I would recommend an Ebay Merchant account or an Amazon Marketplace account. Yes, It costs in fees, but you will instantly have access to a huge segment of the market you will in most likeliness never touch doing it yourself. Then by having a simple cheap webpage for your local shop, keeps the costs down significantly. I will be brutally honest with you, running a successful web store is not an "hour a day" job. It requires a significant financial and personnel input and will cost your business dearly in the first few years. If you skimp on it customers will know and will avoid it.
