  1. I bet you took them off when you finished the run? To test them properly, go for a run and then wear the goggles for another 30 mins of so, whilst sitting watching TV.
  2. If it's a firearms ban, then airsoft should be fine. The VCRA classes them as Imitation firearms. If they were firearms then they would not be imitations.
  3. King Arms do the best ones. Cyma are okay.
  4. If you want something under £200, that is accurate, then bullpups may not be the way to go. Consider an M14 or AK. Barrel length only affects range if the barrel is too short for the bb to achieve stability. This is unlikely to be an issue.
  5. King arms or AGM/ASG. They may be listed as Sten magazines also. King arms tend to be listed as 110 rd but hold about 135. They are mainly plastic. AGM or ASG mags are 50 rd mags and are metal (the same as came with the gun).
  6. I need a job soon. It's driving me insane having all the free time and no money to do anything.

soz to hear your situation, a m8 of mine had a crap disciplinary meeting. It is still not very easy to get a decent job out there. Hope your luck changes real soon

  7. Some games I play have a rule limiting ammo carried in mags to 300 rds. I tend to carry 5x 135 rd mags and 1 x 50rd mag as the pouches on P37 webbing hold 6 mags. I have never used more than 2 mags between respawns, I just prefer to have the option of a smoke break rather than refilling mags every time I respawn and I don't want empty space in my pouch
  8. 0.25's are pretty much standard for most people. Heavier ammo starts costing significantly more and lighter ammo just doesn't have the range. For good range, the hopup is the main factor. Cyma AK's have a reputation for good hop units, so if you are considering a Cyma AK, just leave the gun as it is.
  9. Polish gear is complicated. The Polish army starts with it's own gear, then after the fall of Poland, they were re-equipped by the French, then by the British. Other Polish units were equipped by the Russians and during the Warsaw uprising there is a mix of civilian gear and captured German gear. http://www.warhistoryonline.com/war-articles/20-images-wwii-uniforms.html This may help Russian is a bit easier http://www.ww2airsoft.org.uk/ussr-rkka-summer/ If you ask around on ww2airsoft.org.uk, there are people who do Russian and even Polish gear.
  10. 'Is that a US Cavalry uniform?' 'Hey you in the cowboy hat...' The hours of research I put into getting everything correct, just to look like some guy in a cowboy hat! I have Australia written on both shoulders, my buttons each have a map of Australia. Then there's the Brodie helmet strapped to my backpack, the standard british/commonwealth helmet of WW2!
  11. What about an MP40? ASG do MP40's, they're cheap and pretty good quality.
  12. I still have most fun in the Murmansk. My captain now has the pyromania ability. Strategy is to find a target and ripple fire HE shells whilst going around in circles so that new guns are always becoming available.
  13. Yes but to upgrade them you will probably want a better hopup and they're easy enough to find but theres only about 2 different hopups available. Parts are easy to get, upgrades aren't.
  14. Is the MP5 your preferred gun or just the gun your friend wants you to get? MP5's are cool and easy to get parts for, but there are limits on how much they can be upgraded internally. For CQB (which I guess you like, from your other gun choices) it is a great weapon.
  15. The main thing you need to decide is how you will use it. If you want to maintain stealth and be able to take down targets that get too close then a non-blowback pistol would be the way to go. Something like the TM Mk23 socom. If you want the option to open up full auto and forget about stealth, then some sort of SMG would be fun. Pretty much everything else falls between these 2 extremes. You need to decide what your reaction will be to finding someone has gotten too close to use your rifle and that will narrow the options down. It looks like you are pretty much going for the non stealth approach, in which case I would just go for the one you think will scare the shit outta people the best
  16. Something like this? http://www.sofmilitary.co.uk/kombat-uk-airborne-webbing-btp-product,17543 You may want a smaller water bladder so it fits in a pouch or switch to a water bottle. Remember that 3 liters of water is 3Kg weight. You can get a 1 liter bladder and fit it in a utility pouch.
  17. Been to Combat south a couple of times for WW2 games. Thats a great site.
  18. No. Just No. Plus wouldn't he have to be dead before he can be considered?
  19. Most universities will have a set of rules for setting up sports clubs. In most cases it will just be a case of getting enough signatures of potential members. A lot of university accommodation will have rules about keeping RIF's. If however they are kept in a case, the only way anyone will know is if they look inside your belongings. Once you have an airsoft club set up, you can ask for help from the Students Union or Sports association with getting rules changed or getting a safe location to store stuff.
  20. Just ordered a set of Aussie Pattern Jungle greens.
  21. Yes the King arms 110rd mags work. They also actually hold 135 rounds. Sometimes they can be a bit of a PITA with certain Stens though. The issue is usually that the catch sticks out too far on the mags for the hop unit to push it in successfully. If you get this issue then a slither of plastic can be glued to the leading edge of the grippy bit of the mag catch so it doesn't stick out as far. A quick google for ver 7 anti reversal latch gives this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/PHX-Steel-Reversal-Airsoft-gearboxes/dp/B00NGRFZCW http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ULTIMATE-V7-ANTI-REVERSAL-LATCH-AIRSOFT-AEG-ASG-/221714443699 https://jdairsoft.net/mechbox/ultimate-anti-reverse-latch-ver7 No idea what size threads are on those screws but in my experience, if they are missing, the thread has probably been stripped. Consider using a self tapping screw to replace it.
  22. Gun. ammo, batteries etc all fit in a P08 large pack. Everything else can be worn
  23. Grr so many events coming up I want to go to and I cannot plan anything atm.
