  1. I have just tested my new light. Its a cateye bike light that I use regularly when cycling. I took a spare bracket and epoxy glued it to the front hand grip of My MP5SD. Layer of black paint over the epoxy and job done. Its a bit bulkier that the torches everyone else uses but its also a bit more robust and has a very wide beam with a bright spot in the middle for aiming. Its also very easy to remove it and place it to illuminate a doorway without giving your position away.
  2. I use the MkI tactical beard to help with face protection and find it does help a little
  3. Dammit, now I've started thinking about utilising some Veneer I have lying around to fake a wooden foregrip. The MP5SD forgrip is basically a cylinder so it should be possible... I have also been thinking about adding a mount for by front bike light. I have a very good front light for my bike and the lens on it is much more sturdy than on most torches. The problem would be how to attach the mount without compromising my ability to remove the foregrip
  4. You could get your chissels out and carve yourself a new stock and foregrip. Let me know how you get on Make me a set while you're at it
  5. Just did the final layer of a camo paint scheme on my gun. Just panicking in case it looks bad when I peel all the layers of masking tape off.

It worked fine, just didn't look the way I wanted it to. Will try again sometime.

Try spraying with a handful of twigs, small leaved branches etc between the can and the gun. I've seen it done before and it gives an awesome natural finish :)

  6. Can you find an MP5 with metal internals for £85 in black? I can't without importing it and that seems a lot of hassle. Also I plan to get Tan, Brown and green paint and do a DPM paint job anyway when I get round to it, it doesn't really matter what the original colour is then.
  7. I do not yet have UKARA but I have been visiting a site regularly which has 3rd party insurance and my attendance is logged there. So yes.
  8. I am new to airsoft and as I had 2 weeks off work, I decided to get some gear now when I would be at home to get parcels. So in the last 2 weeks I have bought the following: British Army surplus Boots, combat trousers and shirt Scrim scarf DPM boonie hat A woodland camo assault vest A 2 tone MP5SD (£85) (plus can of matt black paint) 3 MP5 mid caps Begadi triple MP5 open molle pouch spare battery Charger Acog style red dot sight and MP5 rail Elbow and knee pad set in woodland camo Olive drab molle assault backpack (mainly to carry everything in) Single point sling tactical gloves The WELL MP5 seems a bit lacking in robustness but shooting a couple of bb's into a cushion in my flat, it seems at least equal to the hire guns I have been using. An Mp5 with acog sight just looks awesome The £30 assault vest though I was very impressed with. It is extremely well made, the only part that looks like it would ever wear out is the molle pouches, which seem to be somewhat cheaper. But as the next cheapest vest I could find cost a lot more and came with no pouches...
