  1. So...I just bought a dummy M26 and a fake lemon. If you're not a Portal fan you'll just have to wait and see... ;)

  2. Why? What makes you think that? As long as the connections are reasonably watertight the battery itself is not significantly different to any other.
  3. HEATHEEEEEEEENNNN!!!!! BURN HIM! But yeah, Guy Fawkes? Terrorist. And a rubbish one, got caught and completely failed to blow up anything.
  4. One of my colleagues had this but he has recovered now. Here's to a speedy recovery!
  5. Good friend of mine has one and he swears by it.
  6. Or you could just get the standard stock one http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?cPath=268_318_403&products_id=8791 and change it to a crane stock later. It's a piece of piss to change.
  7. http://www.componentshop.co.uk/7-4v-1450mah-cranestock-battery.html Anything listed as a "crane stock" or "nunchuck" style battery should fit. I can't tell you for definite if it'll fit your gun or even if that gun is front or rear wired. As for who has it in stock have you tried actually calling PAS? Their website isn't always entirely up to date.
  8. If you're going to do STALKER then you may as well do one of the cool loadouts:
  9. A 1200-1400mAh LiPo should last you all day if you're not going mad, a 2200-2600mAh will definitely do all day. Crane stock batteries are only really needed if your battery is in the stock of your gun, or need to split either side of your barrel (if wired to the front).
  10. Yes it'll work but I would get this one with the mains power supply as suggested: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Digital-IMAX-B6AC-Balancing-Charger300mAh/dp/B00GGBC8WA/ref=pd_sim_sbs_auto_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=110K6RB0W147JS818B76
  11. Hardwired. Plug and play doesn't protect the trigger contacts or give you the Active Braking benefits.
  12. Componentshop.co.uk for batteries, amazon for an imax b6 charger. Make sure you get the one with a mains lead not just a 12v supply.
  13. 8.4v mini is the standard NiMh type battery most guns come with. They're cheap and easy to source for manufacturers and they'll do fine for most people. A 7.4v LiPo battery will give a higher current output which results in a better trigger response. This is a nice to have and by no means absolutely necessary as it does mean potentially having to buy a new charger. An 11.1v LiPo or indeed a 9.6v NiMh will give higher still current and may necessitate the fitting of a Mosfet to prevent damage to the trigger contacts. If you want a cheap and easy upgrade to your performance then a 7.4v LiPo will do you no harm at all.
  14. If the G&G mosfet os going to give you that much grief I'd get rid and install a better aftermarket one. I have a similar play style and I use a GATE Nano AB (newer versions available now - check their website). Not had any issues with it running on 7.4v LiPo.
  15. Check out this FB page: https://www.facebook.com/RosesAndBoltshells?fref=ts and the RPF for WH40K builds. You can get LARP chainswords but they're not cheap!

    EGX London 2014.

Saturday is sold out, Sunday is almost sold out. It WILL be absolutely heaving. Good luck with that. Might take a day off and go on the Friday though...
  17. In general a Mosfet upgrade is only really worth it if you're planning on using LiPo batteries and in particular 11.1v LiPo batteries. Since the Mosfet fitted to these guns have problems running on 11.1v LiPos I would say get the Gen 2 (without the Mosfet) and spend the £50 you save on a decent aftermarket one instead.
  18. My TM M4 was about that old when I bought it. New hop rubber and a general clean up/service and you'll be fine.
  19. just shot myself in the hand. Point blank. Ouch.

me thinks Russe11 is perhaps into self harming or actually enjoys a bit of pain

Russell, this was by no means deliberate. I only usually test guns by firing them into a cloth bag. This was an accident!

Hmm, sounds to me like a deliberate self inflicted wound. Now where did I leave that firing squad? :D

  20. To be fair we usually end up in mates 4x4 just because we all insist on taking so much gear with us it's the only car it fits in! I'm sure we don't actually need three assault rifles and a support weapon each but...y'know.
  21. I and all my mates drive. Hardly surprising so many don't though when you take into consideration the low average age of airsofters...
  22. I have a TM SPAS12 and I used to have an ASG Franchi SAS 12. I sold the ASG which probably says as much as I need to say.
  23. Not that foam. Some goggles (like the ESS V12 for example) have a thin layer of foam over the vent holes to give some filtration and help prevent dust/sand ingress (particularly relevant in current deployments). However this can have an impact on the efficiency of the venting so many people (myself included) remove this thin layer of foam to increase airflow. It doesn't affect the face seal at all.
