  1. It's not just that forum though. I used to regularly post on a bikers forum call The Rev Counter. If a noob said the wrong thing there it was a 15 page minimum flame war almost instantly. The general consensus was "welcome to TRC, grow a thicker skin". Unfortunately the rise of the keyboard warrior with the shield of anonymity has all but destroyed many online communities. I'm just glad it hasn't got to this place yet!
  2. That's interesting actually as I already have an old JT mask from my paintball days (ah youth....happy times, simpler times). How much are the fans?
  3. As far as I can tell they're the same thing. Emerson and TMC seem to be different brands by the same manufacturer depending on where the item is being sold.
  4. Yeah, I had a look at their site. I have to admit I'm tempted because head shots in CQB are getting on my tits. I do sweat like a rapist in church though so it'd have to be really well ventilated to be able to see where I'm going (hence the question about space for fans).
  5. Got it today. Not bad at all actually. Well worth £12!
  6. You think that was bad? You should see the verbal arse raping people have had for daring to mention - nay even just have a picture of themselves airsofting on their page - airsoft on OAF (Operator as Fuck). Makes that ARRSE thread look like a vicars tea party!
  7. Anyone know if this is do-able? Having changed to an MOE grip on my M4 I find the grip position and size far more comfortable (I have big hands, see). I've had a look around and while the usual write ups for the MIAD and MOE grips say they should fit ALL M4/M16 variants I have a niggling doubt in my mind as to whether or not they'll fit on a SCAR (the gearbox isn't an entirely standard V2 and I'm sure I read somewhere that the pistol grip attachment is higher up meaning the motor never quite meshes properly in an aftermarket grip). If anyone has tried and succeeded/failed I'd be very interested to find out!
  8. Is this the Proto full cover thermal mask? I'd be very interested to see how it does with fogging. Is there much space that could maybe be fitted with small fans?
  9. So it would be fair to say - not worth it if you have a gas pistol you use every now and then but definitely worth it if you have all gas rifles?
  10. Exactly what I did. I found I actually needed to trim the pad down a little to get the AoE right.
  11. They're not my guns I hasten to add. Mine would have more skulls. And boobs. I did paint them though. Shotgun extension tube for a Berretta 12 bore and a mock suppressor/barrel shroud on a S&W .223 Good friend of mine does practical shooting competitions and these are his guns.
  12. Pass. But I'd be leaning more towards JCheese's price than yours to be honest.
  13. Insurance and brokerage costs are very much dependent on who the carrier is and what the value of the items in the package are. You'd need to get a shipping quote through Evike if that's where you're buying from. The duty and VAT calculation is a bastard. You have to include the shipping cost and the insurance then calculate the import duty, add it on then calculate the VAT on the whole lot. So you get taxed twice in effect. Bastards. Bastard coated bastards with a bastard filling. This is the calculator I used in the past http://www.dutycalculator.com/new-import-duty-and-tax-calculation/
  14. It was the assumption that life is that kind Also - where did you get the 25% from? Was it an assumption on VAT/duty? There's online calculators that will let you know exactly what you'd be paying. You also forgot to add the value of the insurance to the import duty cost calculation and there's no mention of brokerage fees either.
  15. I like how you think. You're wrong, but I like how you think.
  16. Actually - if it was a bricks and mortar (or indeed online) store that wanted an opinion I'd have more respect for them posting something in their own name than hiding behind an alias. People are more than happy to tell people what they really think of them online so there's no real need to hide behind a fake name "to get honest answers".
  17. I know what you're saying, but there's no introduction as to who he is or anything just BOOM - first post, blind link. It's bad netiquette and in my eyes no different than the smug faced twats that rock up at my door "on behalf of" nPower trying to make out I'm some kind of loser for not wanting to switch to them. Also - call me pedantic but any shop that would represent itself with a poorly worded, poorly spelled post like that probably wouldn't get my business. All about appearing professional, see.
  18. One of the Bolle Tactical range does - I think the X1000. There's an option for a specs frienly lens that is basically a massive box!
  19. Soo...... random bloke with one post says he has homework to do and everyone happily clicks on a blind link. Nice. I also hope he uses spell check before he hands it in.
  20. British uniform is MTP NOT Multicam. Like Multicam it's not actually designed specifically for UK countryside and as such is not actually as effective in traditional airsoft woodland sites as DPM (or indeed flecktarn). But that's never stopped anyone dressing up as a Navy SEAL either so what the hell.
  21. No licence, no insurance, no say.
