  1. What was the charge rate? What is the battery capacity? Did it stop dead or start slowing down first? What gun is it?
  2. Probably does but that's what we're talking about
  3. Not everyone has the tools/ability/confidence to do the work themselves. Granted very little is actually all that complex but some of it is very easy to screw up if you're a bit hamfisted!
  4. You're right. If a service has been performed then the work itself if not the parts should be of at least a minimum standard and basic expectations should be met. Preferably not with "it was fine when it left here" either.
  5. You could also look into changing the existing springs for the ones from PTW mags. they're a bit stiffer than most and can be had from RSOV for not a lot of money.
  6. Sensible advice. As opposed to conversations that go like this: Customer "hi I'm thinking I would like to upgrade my spring please. I'm not interested in high rates of fire or stupid FPSs" Tech "nah mate, you need some siegetek dual sector gears and a high torque motor and replace the bearings with uber leet super hard diamond ones made by NASA. Of course you'll have to change the barrel, the hop, the shims, the gearbox case and the outside of the rifle but it'll be AWESOME" Oh and someone that will actually deliver on their promises, not charge for a spring change and then just lop a couple of coils off the one that the gun came in with. Realistic fixed price servicing. We all know it doesn't take 3 days to change simple component so don't try and charge me for three days work to change a spring and wire in a MOSFET.
  7. So this isn't what they're using in their own guns then?
  8. Theoretically speaking, leave it the fuck alone /thread
  9. It's a Marui. Leave it the fuck alone. /thread
  10. El cheapo red dot reflex sight from that link in someone or others status. Three SHS moscarts from our man Pete at AK2M4.co.uk Which will hopefully be a bit more reliable than my others!
  11. Navy Seals. The one with Charlie Sheen in it. The only decent part of the whole film is Sheens direct copy of the "boring conversation anyway" line from Star Wars. Anything with Steven Segal in it. Under Siege is ONLY worth watching for Erika Eleniaks perky, perky boobs.
  12. I don't agree at all. Cheap sights can be absolutely awful with fuzzy dots and questionable parallax compensation. Granted a decent red dot reflex type sight will give you a more open sight picture but it's also worth taking into account the environment. I've yet to find a cheap holo sight that can be adjusted dim enough to be of use once the light level gets low. When all you can see is a bright red dot the sight becomes less than useless. The main question for me is whether or not you can actually get your eye lined up with the sights properly once you've got your eye and face protection on. If not then it's just cosmetics anyway.
  13. The indoor/outdoor thing. It's more about HOW you use the gun and not so much about WHICH gun you buy. Every swinging dick and his dog will try and tell you that you need some kind of 6 inch long uber high ROF machinepistol for CQB and that anything else will have you at a disadvantage. Ignore these people for they are talking shite. A standard length M4 is absolutely fine for CQB. The extra barrel length will help with range when you go outdoors too. Not to the degree that a full length rifle will make a difference over an MP5K for example but if you want one gun to do both then you won't go far wrong with anything around similar dimensions to the standard M4. Also anyone that tells you a SCAR is great for CQB "because you can fold the stock" is also talking bollocks. The only reason that the stock on SCARs or AKs or anything else made that way is so that they take up less space for storage and for carrying in vehicles. The rest of the time the stock should be extended. A SCAR is good for CQB because it's a great gun and not significantly bigger than an M4. Ditto 416s et al.
  14. I bought my Condor Gen 2 Battle Belt from a US seller on ebay. Cheaper than UK retail but it took a while to get here. UKTactical are selling the Warrior PLB as a combo with a low profile harness for £63. Where I got my battle belt: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/C-T-Military-Surplus/Molle-Gear-/_i.html?_nkw=battle+belt&submit=Search&_fsub=386501015&_sid=93345705
  15. Paintball masks are very head size dependent as they cover more of your noggin. General consensus seems to be that the Dye masks fit smaller heads but work better. Personally I found that when I started out and was using my old JT 360 thermals that it was 1) impossible to get the gun anywhere near close enough to use the sights and 2) still fogged up like a mofo. They do give you a better sense of protection around your face/head though which is nice.
  16. I bought some "action" M4 midcaps and they just would not feed in my M4. Mind you they were only about £6 each so I guess you do get what you pay for.
  17. "Why not" should be the question.
  18. Never liked the solid stock on MP5s. SD6 all the way for me. Integral silencer, sliding stock and NO RAILS!!!! In this enlightened age of LiPos nobody should have to pick a full stock gun to get enough battery life.
  19. Non blowback TM Desert Eagle. In about the mid 90's at a guess. Closely followed by the TM SPAS12 I still have to this day.

Oh and if you want an airsoft version...well, don't hold your breath. King Arms USED to do one but they seem to be like unicorn poop to find.

Plus it would be longer than you are tall I expect ;-)

  21. There is that one guy (wounded ex serviceman) that stops just short of threatening him though. Basically insisted that he can't wear it and if he did he'd be in trouble if any ex servicemen caught him. FFS.
  22. You really have fallen down the rabbit hole, haven't you!
