  1. Ah, yes I see it now!
  2. I can feel an Airlab order coming on...
  3. I had a quick google and apparently that picture is of a LRRP unit in the central highlands. Pretty interesting actually - most likely (considering the role and the area) to have been a member of the 1st Air Cav that were moved into the LRRP role at the time who coincidentally were one of the first units to get the M16. By "tapered grip" do you mean the foregrip? As I've personally only ever seen 60's/70's era ones with the tapered, triangular style. There is suggestion that civilian spec AR15s were supplied to SF units (presumably to try and keep up with supply requirements) so it's perfectly possible I just couldn't make out enough detail in the picture.
  4. Interesting picture, where did you find it? Incidentally the guy on the left is wearing US Woodland not Tiger Stripe. Could you explain how you identified the rifle in the background as an AR-15 and not an M16?
  5. ^^^^^ what he said. Also bear in mind the whole "square peg round hole" issue. If you have a tube with a 10mm ID a battery that is 10mm wide WON'T FIT.
  6. Any recommendations?
  7. If it's gone from your bank account then surely it's Paypals problem?
  8. There's no shame in it. At least you tried.
  9. Little from column A, little from column B. Both issues are something I'd like to address but one thing at a time....
  10. No, not really. No site will ever be 100% attended every day it's open but the Mall is almost always sold out on a Sunday. Exceptions tend to be particularly hot days or the week or two mid December (the last one before Xmas is always full).
  11. It's only £25 a day walk on at the Mall! £50 would need to include something a bit special.
  12. I've found that. The ASG Ultimate springs and the SHS super shooter ones seem to run about 10fps above what more run of the mill ones do. The M90 SHS Super Shooters are the ones I'm struggling to keep under 340fps!
  13. Thanks for that. Of course just because it doesn't NEED much spent on it doesn't mean I'm not going to throw money at it like it's going out of fashion.
  14. Having now finished messing about with my M4 my attention has drifted towards my AK (CYMA CM045A AKS74U) and its noisy ass gearbox. Now - I would like to fit a TBB to improve the grouping but the main issue I have is that even with an M90 spring in it the fps is on the high side (I only just scraped under the 340 limit at the mall last time by chronoing it with the hop on) so I'm thinking of whacking in a sorbo pad but then I wondered about silent heads. So are they worth bothering with or not? I know the rest of the GB is a bit noisy anyway (it's a CYMA - go figure) but I'm looking to use it as a simple way of dropping the fps off a bit as well without dicking around cutting the spring. My M4 has the same M90 spring and the sorbo pad + AoE adjustment seems to help keep it under 340fps (barrel length is about the same 260mm for the AK, 300mm for the M4).
  15. If the trailer is anything to go by then yes.....I MUST have that.
  16. The Mall gets 100 players most Sundays.
  17. There's some pretty sweeping generalisations and what appears to be guesswork there.... And £30K a "real wage"? Not round this way!
  18. I see famasboy is back spamming the for sale ads...

  19. ta-dah! http://www.ak2m4.co.uk/internal-parts/inner-barrels/zci-inner-barrel-275mm
  20. They also do a box of 5 for roughly half the price: http://www.landwarriorairsoft.com/airsoft-magazines-c3/high-capacity-c51/dytac-300rds-magazine-for-m4-aeg-black-box-of-5-p2896
  21. So if he does it we need a video.
  22. The new Nanos are smaller but I've just taken delivery of the new Pico AAB. Very nice - prewired and heatshrunk so better (in my opinion) that the old barebones style Pico. It'll be going into either my M4 or my AK so I'll let you know how that goes!
  23. Just bought mine from ApexTac on ebay. Cheap as chips.
  24. Surely having the second sight bolted on just gets in the way?
  25. I agree - but I think it's down to the type of players that come on a Sunday as opposed to the ones that come on a Thursday. I've had Sundays that have flowed exceptionally well with 100 players and Thursdays that have just been one big choke point! Last trip I had there in November there were so few players that using the whole site seemed pointless and people still managed to choke up at the bottom of the back stairs! Thursdays are a bit more...tactical for want of a better word. There's less rentals and more regulars that know the layout which helps.
