  1. Ben was that you behind me when I double tapped that rebel with my Beretta ?
  2. Its not automatically at every game. Okto have a lot of toys and they bring different ones out of the toy box at each game. This was at the milsim at the weekend. I was on the wrong end of it a couple of times. You just dig in, face down in the dirt and you hear the BBs scything through the ferns above you. It has PKM innards built into a replica steel 50 that needs two men to lift it down.
  3. Why didnt you stop her then ? lol Its not ladies with cabbages you have to worry about, its the men in green with pointy fingers. You're lucky the great unwashed never managed to get their hands on the two pistols we later found stashed in the village !
  4. I wanted to buy a leg rig from them and emailed them specifically saying that I wanted it to fit a Beretta 92. They emailed back promptly to say it would fit which was great service. Its amazing how many shops fail that first hurdle. After I placed the order, I came home one day expecting to find the parcel had been delivered only to discover a message on the answering machine asking me to ring them. Fearing the worst (Ive been stung a few times recently where retailers take orders but dont have stuff in stock), I phoned them. It seems there was a mismatch in their part numbering system so the p/n described a Sig holster but the description said Beretta. Which one did I actually want ? Clarified that and the rig arrived next working day. So many retailers fail to answer emails promptly or just pick up the phone to engage with their customers these days. Would recommend.
  5. The thing is that a lot of these games are based on trust. If the ammo limit is 600 rounds, then people are trusted to carry that. If they want to cheat and carry more, nobody is going to search them, but they are only really cheating themselves and they probably dont have the right esprit de corps in the first place.
  6. Why not ? they have Field Medic on there as a roleplaying role £40
  7. School holidays + unsecured woodland or premises = destructive bored little buggers There have also been a few issues with our travelling friends at some sites.
  8. Ive started experimenting with a WE pistol with a CO2 mag as I know I will have gas problems in our January game.
  9. As I said the other day in another thread, some retailers say their warranty to you is voided if you open the gun up or make any mods. Irs worth reading the warranty small print when you are looking to buy a rifle, as well as the price, availability etc.
  10. I think there are cheaper than that if you just search using msa sordin - older models etc
  11. Welcome. We played war with gun shaped sticks in the seventies. At least we got to run around rather than sitting in our bedrooms playing on consoles lol. I get involved with milsims now and several of our players have migrated from ARMA, so theres hope yet.
  12. I have a pair of MSA Sordins that I use for radio comms (work and milsim use). You could always try the milsim airsoft central group on facebook for advice but Ebay is good for sourcing if you want a deal. ETA If you just want the hearing protection with the AUX IN so you can hear a radio, but not transmit, then there are currently a few deals on Ebay providing youre not fussy about ear shell colour etc.
  13. Blog entry on the CO2 magazine http://airsoftsofsim.blogspot.co.uk/2015/08/the-cold-war.html
  14. The M92 GEN2 arrived. Initial thoughts: Not as detailed as my Umarex M96 but fine for being abused which it will be by the time its been actively used in a few games and holstered and re-holstered a few dozen times. The mag rattles inside the pistol when you handle it, but its not a big problem. Bearing in mind this pistol was £99, you can't really expect too much. It has a decocker which I quite like, having gotten used to it on my SIG 226. Its not too shiny (a complaint I have of my M96 which looks like a show pistol) and although there are no trades, it looks functional. Especially now that I've greased and oiled it in the right places so the mechanism sounds more solid. On unexpected bonus is the auto function which I wasn't aware of. If you leave the safety catch in the middle position between safe and fire, it fires like an SMG with just one trigger pull, emptying the 26-round mag in seconds. I have bought an optional CO2 mag for the pistol and will experiment with it and the standard gas one in due course. There is a hop like many pistols, but you have to remove the slide to access it.
  15. Nobody seems to have any stock but it seemed a lot cheaper than the TM version. Has it been discontinued ?
  16. Noveske KX3 Sound Hog ? Have one on my SCAR. Acts as a funnel to focus the sound forward. You cant hear much difference from behind or the side, but the people youre shooting say its noticeable.
  17. Have just given them another order. They answer my questions promptly and has been said before, just give good customer service. I had a word about the filtering on their website and they are aware. They say the website has done its day and they are upgrading/overhauling the user front end soon.
  18. http://www.mg-props.co.uk/grenades.htm Theres no real weight to it so the spoon leads when you throw it. Not been able to break it. The metal is pretty cheap and has a nice patina of rust but it still works and most importantly, looks more like the real thing.
  19. Yes I've actually got one and its quite loud - certainly good enough for our milsim kill radius. It is triggered by impact but it works on grass or carpet. http://airsoftsofsim.blogspot.co.uk/2014/10/a-different-airsoft-grenade.html
  20. Turns out the M9 I bought from Airsoft World hadn't been despatched despite me receiving the tracking number. UPS didnt recognise the number so I contacted AW as I initially thought there was a typo. They called me and said that the pistol they were going to send me turned out to be the last one in stock and it was actually a broken return. They were going to fix it and send it to me, but turned out they couldn't. So, tracking numbers are automatically generated without a physical despatch and I don't have an M9 coming. On the bright side, I've decided that I like the M92 GEN2 styling better (I dont need the rail) so I've ordered one of them from another supplier. Will let you know once I get it. I've also ordered a CO2 mag with it as it occurs to me that it might be a good way to go for pistol winter use.

    New AEG

G&P look good but have been put off them. One of the guys who plays at our milsim had one crack on him due to brittleness of the metal. Would go Krytac or ERG
  22. Let you know in a few days then although too soon to give an in depth feedback
  23. Am I right in saying thats its identical to the WE M92 and M9A1 in terms of internals ? Have the M9A1 en route..
  24. Yes another vote for them - and they answer their emails promptly..
  25. Welcome to the forum and UK airsoft. You could try just going to a game at Gunman in Kings Langley or the School. There is a thread on here called M25 airsoft which might help. Failing that there is a London Airsofters group on Facebook.
