  1. No the genuine OPS-CORE is usually over USD1100. Team Wendy lids seem better at around USD300 but still silly money for airsoft where ballistic protection is pretty pointless.
  2. What do you really mean by DMR ? whats your definition in this context ?
  3. If its consistently high, you can adjust of course by a notch on the optic. Usually however, I would expect the spread to be all over that target size at 20m, so if thats the case you can only adjust to get the spread around the centre of that target, so the target centre forms the approximate middle of the spread. Try using .25s if youre using .2s
  4. The Firehawk is very short indeed. Its personal taste and while CQB necessitates a compact rifle, its nice to have a rifle that feels substantial. Also look at the G&G GC4 G26 30th Anniversary Limited Edition and their Mk18. You can get either for £149 if you hunt around. ETA the G26 has a handguard that makes it more comfortable to C clamp the rifle and hold it without using a foregrip but the absence of rail make it harder to add a foregrip or torch and laser for CQB.
  5. Ive never used anything else in airsoft, They are so compact and their chemistry makes them capable of high instantaneous start up currents to give good trigger response.
  6. Also depends on budget. Personally I like a x4 zoom for woodland. Its more useful for spotting than aiming as such but at least you can see where your BBs are hitting.
  7. I just use a bottle and make a funnel with my fingers for hi-caps. For skirmish games and on field reloading, I bought some camo bb bags that can live in a pouch and which have pourers when you rake the cap off. They also dont rattle like bottles.
  8. I wont keep them in tne house and treat them like pyro. One tip is to keep them in a metal, clippable ammo box which you can get off ebay for not very much. Some even keep them on the top of a bed of sand in the ammo box. Personally mine live in a fire bag on a concrete floor, away from any flammables. The problem with them if they do short or develop a problem is the smoke, which cant do you a lot of good if breathed in and the intense heat they generate in combustion. Its rare to have a problem unless you puncture them, but why take the risk ? I wouldnt like to think how your house fire risk insurers would view them if kept under your bed.
  9. Ive had the same problem where I cant run PMAGs on my 416 but can on my SCAR.
  10. You can do what you like. Are you going for the realistic or fun look ? Definitely green shemagh !
  11. The M14 is a very different gun to all the rest. I guess you need to decide whether thats want you want or whether ypu want something more "compact and portable".
  12. This might be useful. http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/25804-a-little-confused-about-different-gas-power-ratings/?hl=abbey
  13. Our posts crossed. Yes looks promising, I would still give them a ring to avoid wasting money on the wrong lead.
  14. Looks like a reasonable charger. QUOTE Our range also includes matching adaptor sets for batteries fitted with other Balancer connector systems. UNQUOTE Id send them an email or giventhem a ring and ask about an adapter for the connector on your LIPO.
  15. Never seen one like that ! How cheap was it ? You could try and source an adapter, rewire the charger connector or buy a better one. One area of airsoft I wouldnt skimp on is a lipo charger. Not only will bad ones cook your batteries but they might cause a fire. Im not saying yours is a bad one, but I would be very careful what I bought.
  16. Yes I use it in the warmer months. Tend to stick to AEG in the colder months.
  17. I have one and just use Abbey Predator Ultra.
  18. Krytac or RM4 are good choices.
  19. G&G Combat series are good at this price range. Lots of variants.
  20. Ive talked about these before but cant find the post despite a search. I bought a couple two years ago and had to use a bayonet frog to carry it from my belt. The knives are well made and relatively inexpensive but the makers were never interested in making/selling matching sheathes for them which was a massive letdown. Anyway, a company has started selling made to measure sheathes for your CS knife. The price isnt that bad although its dearer than the knife and ir comes out at about £30 including despatch to the UK. http://www.visiontactical.com/index.php/sheaths/cold-steel-training-knife-sheaths.html
  21. The last one. I'd go LiPO every time.
