I think what's happening is you've connected the motor contacts the wrong way round, so it's actually trying to spin backwards but it's being stopped by the anti reversal latch. I've had that experience many times.... Just make sure you hook up the positives and negatives the right way round. If that's not it then i dunno

Aps don't have the best rep, so i'd go with Cyma, other than that, a G&P tactical AK combat looks nice or a Beta project AK or what ever other names it's got: JG mag k, Echo 1 OCW etc, etc. If ya don't wanna spend much on the backup, just any old regular cyma AK will do fine.

If spoon's method doesn't work, then you'll have to man up and take the thing apart. Ak's aren't too difficult to work with plus there are plenty of videos on youtube showing you how to take the thing apart. The beta project ak, as far as i know, takes all the standard ak internals so it should be easy finding parts if you need them

Hop up is covered because it comes with the MUR body. With mags, i'll use regular pmags with grip tape. With the gearbox, i'll make it fire 25+ rps. Thanks, it has helped a bit so far. As far as manufacturing an RIF is concerned, I am aware of that, but i won't be using it other than skirmishing, not even at home since I have a lot of neighbours and I'm not so innocent at my age anymore.
