  1. what make and what magnification is the scope? is it still on the original trigger/sears? piston? how dose it shoot? and what weight of bb's have you been using? how often have you used it? whats the tape for in the pic? Try coming down in price a bit, see if that generates any interest ... if someone wants it they could have made you an offer, worst you could say is no
  2. so my new scope arrived (this is a work in progress, TM L96 AWS, Hawke 11235 scope, QD bipod, jack pyke barrel cover, jack pyke stealth tape (i am going to change this as i dont think it will works that well with my ghillie suit))
  3. my confessions :- at site safety briefings when they ask "has anyone not played airsoft before" - i always put my hand up (just incase a newbie dosnt ... honest ) i love watching the action of my TM desert eagle, i once unloaded the mag, popped it out checked mag was empty, put mag back in, turned gun so it was side ways on to me, and fired what i though was a empty gun .... instead it had 1 bb in the chamber which ricochet'ed off my mates head ... my bad i was once in a room, i turned to the door, my mate came bursting in, and immediately declared a hit (he tough i banged him) and was alittle annoyed .... i was just wondered why the wall was a different colour outside the room .... i felt bad so took a 50/50, we laughed about it later
  4. Welcome to the forums mate

  6. wait a min, its that a top-tech .... if so he "upgraded" the standard 6.03 barrel to a 6.03 barrel
  7. hi mate welcome to the forums. Yeah the VCRA act sure did one on the airsoft market The general rule of thumb is unless you have to, avoid sites with "bb" or "bb gun" in there name. There not all bad, but the worst seem to fall in with this group, that said if you only want to do some back garden target work (depending on garden length) some off there guns will be fine for your requirement. Just remember, in airsoft, you do get what you pay for. i would give mark 1 a week, then if you can, try and phone them ... if you don't get any joy then go to your bank etc.
  8. have you seen/tried/handled either? to be honest get which ever one fits you the best
  9. Welcome to the forums mate i commend you for wanting to having a go at being a sniper, but as someone new to airsoft i must advise against it. don't get me wrong, i don't know you, you may have a military background etc, but the physics of airsoft differ drastically from those of a conventional gun. In the real world fire fights, distances can range from less then 100m to 2Km! yet in airsoft a fully upgraded sniper may struggle to hit 100m. Wind, rain, infact anything can blow your BB off course. i say "upgraded" in a loose sense, as most sniper rifles will require some upgrades at some point, and if you want to max them out .... its not cheap one thing you may be aware of is that bolt action snipers usually get a high FPS allowance, this is nice as it lets them run heavier bb's (which are more expensive) and they trend to travel further. however if you are using this higher FPS it comes with a penalty, as you will have a minimum engagement distance. one thing most players over look is the hop, this is what allows the bb to go even further, and can govern accuracy (the barrel of the gun dose not have anywhere near as much effect on accuracy/range compared to the hop). also large FPS spring snipers have a heavy bolt pull (arm ache!) and as you increase the FPS, this adds strain/stress to trigger components that can and will fail. let me just finish by saying that a good quality AEG can hit somewhere near 60m, an out of the box sniper may struggle.the AEG will fire a hell of a lot faster and be more reliable and versatile in the long run. and if you wish you can always switch it to semi auto edit :- forgot to say, have a look at ian's newbie guide, its full of good info, and makes a good reference point for new and experienced players alike
  10. very strange video "lets take it to the range and see how it shoots" .... he chrono's it .... no range/accuracy/spread details. you may consider me a purest, but i have never heard of UTG, i would go with tokyo maurai (and i have with my TM L96) if you really want a sniper rifle, go and have a look here for gun info >> http://www.airsoftsniperparts.com/identifyyourrifle.htm
  11. have you tried cleaning the mag? more specifically a the bb track?
  12. Agreed I would get some 0.25s (or slightly heavier) you will find that they have better range and foliage penetration as well Gingerbread man, I was just asking as some brands/guns seem to have execellent range out of the box (from my experience most TM, g&g cm16, cyma ak's, etc)
  13. What do other people use at your field? What weight of bb's are you using?
  14. don't forget good old british army osprey, £40 for the base, then add pouches to suit
  15. Tokyo Marui L96 AWS jack pyke LLCS ghillie suit jack pyke LLCS gloves jack pyke barrel cover viper battle belt ... in fat git size edit :- i am on the right
  16. to be honest most CO2 pistols have issues with being too powerful (over 350fps) i have no idea how to get more power out of one.
  17. wayy back around 1993 my brother got a springer bb gun, and he used to shoot me abit with it ... so naturally i got one, and so began our arms race, which ended in around 1998'ish when i bought a TM MP5K (at the time i couldnt even find spare mags) after that my playing with them pretty much ended back then me and my brother used to go paint balling every so often, but it was expensive so that ended that. until 3 years ago, when i decided to see where BB gun technology had got too. i mistakenly bought a well d90h, from a "bb gun" website, and i was disappointed to say the least. i then did what i should have initially done, and did some research, and bough a g&g cm16 raider from Z1 did some more reseach and went to my first skirmish ... and have been hooked ever since

  20. I don't know anyone by that name. Could it be Mr Whitby? I think he has a l85 forsale atm I may be wrong though
  21. UKARA is linked to your email address and your home address, so it would be useless to anyone but the person it was issued to
  22. i think the issue is people think what happens in games happens in real life ... they have to learn, is it there fault that what they have seen/done in the past is incorrect? nope, its like hating learner drivers because they don't know how to drive, they have to learn somehow. the problem is the games have to be easy, to be fun, and to keep people playing them.
  23. i was just speaking to a good mate of mine, he was telling me that ebay will no longer allow people to list items with ANY reference to firearms in the title, such as :- Glock G17, G18 etc etc MP5, MP7 etc L96 L85 H&K M4 etc etc so lets just say you need a part for a tm mp7 ... once all the listings have been removed, and apparently they are removing them, ebay wont be the place to go any more. To be honest i think that this is stupid. what do you guy's think?
